어린이집 중간관리자 역할에 대한 원장, 중간관리자, 교사의 인식에 관한 혼합연구 (A Mixed-Method Study About Perceptions of Directors, Middle Managers, and Teachers Regarding the Role of the Middle Managers in Daycare Centers)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the perceptions of early childhood educators about the role of middle managers in daycare centers. Methods: A survey was conducted with 254 educators including directors, middle managers, and teachers working at daycare centers located in Jeonbuk. An interview was then conducted with 18 educators working at six different centers. IPA for the survey and thematic analysis were performed for the interview contents. Results: The results show that all the participants perceived that communication among managers, daycare staff, and related organizations should be improved most urgently; in the interview, middle managers as a solver of the uncomfortable relationship between directors and teachers and as a linker between generations were emphasized. Also, the directors and middle managers recognized that the skills to have as middle managers needed to be improved most urgently, and the teachers recognized nothing needed to be improved urgently. Different emphasis for the need of supports for environment and systems was made in the interview by each position. Conclusion/Implications: The study discussed the necessity of the official position of middle managers in a daycare center to promote the professionalism of early childhood educators.

작업자의 상해방지를 위한 중간관리자의 역할 (The Role of Middle Managers for Preventing Workers Injury)

  • Industrial accidents and the resulting worker injuries have adverse effect on industry. From a financial perspective, these effects are realized in large sums of money, perhaps 1.5 billions of wons which are spent last year. In the past. industry in general was not aware of the high costs incurred through injuries to workers. However, this trend has changed in recent years. This paper shows that middle managers have a critical job with respect to safety in workers. The safer middle managers have better resulting than unsafe ones. This is because the workers are more efficient and productive when acting safely. Consequently, this study was primarily an attempt to identify the relationship among middle manager behavior, job site policies, and interpersonal relationships on the job as the affect work safety and performance. More specifically this study focused on the investigation of the research questions by testing the hypotheses.

중간관리자의 리더십 유형별 행동특성과 신뢰와의 관계 (Relationship between Middle Managers' Behavioral Characteristics by Leadership Style and Followers' Trust)

  • The objectives of this study were to investigate the followers's perception of the behavioral characteristics of middle managers' leadership styles and the relationship between middle managers' behavioral characteristics by leadership style and followers' trust in middle managers. The data were collected from the officials of the Rural Development Administration(RDA) of Korea in September, 2001. A total of 215 questionnaires out of 232 distributed were collected and 211 valid ones analyzed. The results from the study were as follows: First, on the leadership styles of the middle managers of RDA, the perception points of the staffs of offices/divisions were 3.56 points in servant leadership style, 3.48 points in transformational leadership style and 3.51 in transactional leadership style from the possible 5.0 points scale. Second, the mean point of the trust level of the staff to the middle managers was 3.64 points indicating that the directors in general tried to treat the staff of offices/divisions with equitably and to communicate with them openly. Third, the correlation between the trust of followers and several variables showed that the subordinate behavioral characteristics of servant leadership, transformational leadership and transactional leadership had positive effects on the trust. Especially 'individualized consideration' and 'contingent rewards' were highly correlated.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the organizational politics, resistance change, turnover intention, and organizational commitment of organizational members during mergers and acquisitions. Recently, many companies are interested in mergers and acquisitions for business diversification and market extension. A merger is a legal consolidation of two entities into one, whereas an acquisition occurs when one entity takes ownership of another entity's stock, equity interests, or assets. This research model establishes a structural equation model. This model is set in a causal relationship between manager's organizational politics, peer organizational politics, and change resistance and the change resistance has a causal relationship of turnover and tissue immersion. In particular, this study will test different of organizational politics by position. Research results, the organizational politics of managers and colleagues have shown increasing change resistance. The change resistance has resulted in a reduction of organizational commitment and an increase of turnover intention. Next, the position analysis showed that top management level, middle management level, and working-level officials showed different organizational politics. The working-level officials are influenced by their manager politics and are influenced in organizational commitment and turnover intention by change resistance. The middle manager level is influenced by the organizational politics of bosses and colleagues, and organizational commitment is weakened by change resistance. The CEO level is not affected by organizational politics in the company, but the turnover intention is strengthened and the organizational commitment is weakened by the change resistance. This study has contributed to further updating the theory of organizational politics based on mergers and acquisitions. As a practical implication, we suggest an organizational integration strategy for a new organization.

부산 시내 중.고등학교 축구선수의 운동손상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Sports Injuries for Middle and High School Football Players in Pusan)

  • Recently sports injuries are increasing due to the development of sports leisure industries as well as the increase of exercising population, and the study for sports injuries is needed more than before. Then the author studied the reasons for injuries, incidence rate, sites and sorts of sports injuries for the middle and high school football players during one year period from Jan. to Dec. 1994. The study subjects were 319 middle and high school players in Pusan and the method was questionnaire method. The results were as follows; 1. The average injury rate due to football play was 3.3 times per person for the 319 subjects during the last one year, and it was highest in goalkeeper as 4.6 times by position. 2. 68 % of the subjects did not receive periodic health examination, 74.9 % wore body protectors. The sports injuries due to football play occurred most commonly in soil play-ground(79.6 %), during training(52.3 %), and in winter time(33.7 %). 3. The commonly occurred injuries by motion were coalition(39.2 %), tackle(12.9 %), dribble (11.4 %) in order; those by sorts were contusion(34.4 %), sprain (32.9 %), spasm(9.0 %) ; and those by body portions lower extremities(82 %), trunk(17.6 %), upper extremities(12.5 %). 4. The frequently used treatment area was home care as in 42.7 % ; treatment methods were physical therapy, acupuncture/moxacautery, rest, operation in order; choices of treatment method were recommendation by coach/manager, and that by medical professional was the lowest as in 2.2 %. 5. If sports injury occurred during play, coach or manager let the players take rest in 56.2 %, but emergent management by medical professional was done only in 1.9 %. The return to play was decided mostly by the player himself(52.8 %), but that decided by a doctor was only in 1.0 %. In conclusion, to lessen the sports injuries due to football play, annual physical check-up, strengthening of play rules, improvement of playground, conditioning exercise, regulation of body protectors, and preventive training for expected injuries behaviors should be done and the decision to return to play and emergent management should be done by a medical professional as well.   • The purpose of this study is to present the classification and operation systems of fashion offline stores. This research analyzed fashion literatures, articles and papers published by fashion-related companies and interviewed fashion practitioners. This research can be used as information for practitioners of the domestic fashion brand and students of fashion majors. The classification and operation systems of fashion offline stores are as follows. 1. The types of fashion offline store is classified as a form of road shop, department store, complex shopping center, select shop, outlet, and fashion wholesale retail specialty store. 2. The road shop is classified flagship store, franchise store, direct sales store, and street brand store. 3. The department store is recently using strategy to improve the profit rate, as setting up the select shop, expand the import contemporary brand stores, the men's brand stores, SPA brand stores, the street brand stores, and the soho internet shopping mall brands instead of reducing the national brands. 4. Most forms of fashion offline stores enhanced the functions to combine the catering, cultural activities and purchasing the lifestyle-related products, as well as fashion items. 5. The types of the operation system in fashion offline stores is classified as direct operations, franchise operations, middle management operations, and fully insert operations. 6. Franchise operations are tended to decline, however middle manager operations are overwhelming.

효과적 가정관리 조건, 자원유용성 및 의사소통에 따른 가정관리자 유형 연구 (A Study on Types of Home Managers Based on the Conditions for Effective Home Management, Resourcefulness and Communication)

  • The primary purpose of this study was to analyze the types of home managers in association with effects of resourcefulness, communication and the conditions for effective home management' proposed by Shape and Winter(1991). A survey was conducted by subjects of 300 wives in Kwangju city. The statistical data were obtained by cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's test and chi-square test. Manager types based on the four conditions, resourcefulness and communication were classified into four clusters. Educational background, job status, family types, family life cycle and age difference between the oldest and the youngest child of the subjects were different from manager types. In conclusion, this study identified the four conditions of performance-condition dichotomy, timing, high level and middle range, resourcefulness, and communications in order to develop managerial capability. 말레이시아 1개 병원과 병상규모가 유사한 한국의 병원 간 보건정보관리자 직무 비교연구 (Comparative Research on the Health Information Manager(HIM) Duties of One Malaysian Hospital and Similar Scale Korean hospitals)

  • 본 연구는 말레이시아 병원과 유사규모의 한국 병원을 대상으로 보건정보관리자(HIM)의 새로운 역할 7가지에 대한 직무를 비교연구하기 위한 것이다. 말레이시아 병원은 272병상 규모의 종합병원을 선정하였다. 말레이시아는 해당병원을 연구자가 직접 방문하여 담당자 면담 등을 실시하였고 기간은 2013년 7월 22일부터 8월 2일까지 약 2주간이었다. 국내병원은 말레이시아와 병상규모가 유사한 병상대의 종합병원 총 13곳을 대상으로 유선 상 질의응답을 통해 확인하였다. HIM의 새로운 7가지 역할에서는 Health information manager로서 말레이시아 병원은 ICT가, 한국 병원은 조사대상 병원의 30.8%가 역할을 수행하고 있었다. Clinical data specialist역할 관련 classification of disease & procedure는 양국 모두 실시하고 있었고 tumor registry은 말레이시아 병원은 담당하고 있었던 반면 한국 병원에서는 15.4%만이 담당하고 있었다. 퇴원환자 통계는 말레이시아에서는 담당하지 않았고 한국은 76.9%에서 담당하고 있었다. 특수질환 등록업무는 한국은 22.1%에서 담당한 반면 말레이시아는 전체 법정전염병 등록 뿐 아니라 병원출생아와 사망자에 대한 정보등록까지 실시하고 있었다. 그 외 Patient Information Coordinator, Data Quality Manager, Document and Repository Manager, Research and Decision Support Analyst 역할은 양국 모두에서 실시하고 있지 않았다. HIM의 새로운 역할은 한국 중소병원에서 실천률이 낮은 편이다. 따라서 한국전체에서 HIM 역할이 확고히 정립되려면 중소규모 병원까지도 그 역할을 잘 수행할 수 있도록 해당 협회차원의 지속적인 교육, 지원을 통해 일부 대형병원뿐 아니라 중소병원을 포함한 전체 병원에서 역할이 명확화 될 수 있는 노력이 필요하다. 특히 특수질환 등 등록업무는 말레이시아 병원이 한국 병원에 비해 역할이 잘 정립되어 있어 이를 벤치마킹하여 업무를 확대하는 방안도 모색할 필요가 있다고 사료된다.

도시주부의 가사노동 조직화 및 관리자 유형 분석 (Some Determinants of manager Style and household Work Organization on the Urban Homemakers in Korea)

  • The main objective of this dissertation is to find out the measurement methods of household work organization and manger style and the quantitative analysis methods of influential factors on household work organization and manager style. Subjects were homemakers living in metropolitan , medium and small cities. Questionnaires were sent to subjects and usable responses were 1139 out of 1239 received questionnaires. Data collected through both preliminary and main survey were analyzed by using frequencies, percentage, analysis of variance, chi-square test and pearson's correlation analysis. Results are as follows; 1) The degree of household work organization was distributed on upper middle level exceeding middle score. Among subsystems of household work such as task assignment , test regularization, task arrangement and task standardization. subjects show the highest positive attitude in task standardization. 2) The characteristics of management in household work have task centered orientation. By the prority of task centered orientation, the order was integrated style. dedicated style. It means that the most ideal style is an integrated style which accounts for one-third of the total homemakers. 3) Household organization's subsystems and household work manager style are related with socio-demographic variables. Integrated style is significantly related with homemaker's employment and having helpers for household work. homemakers who are employed and have helpers for household work exhibit high scores in task assignment and task arrangement. Dedicated style is significantly related with homemaker's age and the number of children. Homemakers who are older and have many children exhibit high scores in task assignment. Related style is significantly related with marriage duration, education level and income level. Homemakers who have a long marriage duration exhibit high scores in task assignment and who have high education and income level exhibit high scores in task regularization. Seperates style is significantly related with homemaker's age m marriage duration an family life cycle. homemakers who ar older, have a long marriage duration and are of late stage in family life cycle exhibit seperated style and high scores in organization. To summarize research findings, household work manger and household work organization are related with family life experiences, and task assignment is an influential variable on manager style. in conclusion, it is evident that household work organization emphasizes efficiency as cognitive component and such organization. Finally it is necessary to broaden this research considered social psychological variables. And also it needs to build household manger style models appropriate fro the characteristics of each style.

  • 애플의 아이폰을 필두로 한 스마트 디바이스의 보급으로 스마트라는 단어가 생활 속에 깊숙이 자리잡았으며 국내 기업들도 무한경쟁 환경에서 지속 가능성을 확보하고자 스마트워크를 실현하기 위한 다양한 노력을 시도하고 있다. 이런 스마트워크 추세는 조직구성원의 일하는 방식과 조직구조에 상당한 영향을 미치게 된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내 기업들이 스마트워크를 성공적으로 도입하고 시행하기 위해 필요한 요소들을 탐색하고 설문조사를 통해 역동성, 협력성, 연결성 등과 같이 스마트워크 수준에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 요인들을 실증적으로 평가해보고자 하였다. 설문조사 자료를 통계적으로 분석한 결과, '조직-역동성', '조직-협력성', '프로세스의 협력성' 등의 세 가지 요인이 워크 레벨에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다. 그 외 본 연구결과의 학술적, 정책적 시사점도 함께 제시하였다.
