  • As microprocessor and SOC (System On a Chip) performance moves into the GHz speed, the high-speed asynchronous design is becoming challenge due to the disadvantageous power and speed aspects in synchronous designs. The next generation on-chip systems will consist of multiple independently synchronous modules and asynchronous modules for higher performance, so the interface module for data transfer between multiple clocked IPs is designed with Xilinx FPGA and simulated with RISC microprocessor.

  • 마이크로프로세서는 공학분야에서 점차 보편화 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 제어계의 감쇠상수 ζ을 변화하는 제어기를 마이크로프로세서로 구현해 본 것이다. 결과는 응답시간면에서 긍정적으로 개선되었음을 볼 수 있었다.

  • This paper presents the automatic monitoring system for the small and medium sized manufacturing system. The monitoring system was composed of main controller, network card and monitoring sub controller for the unit machine. PC was used for the main controller and monitoring controller, which has the same hardware with the network card, was developed using Intel 80196 microprocessor.

  • This paper is concerned with the design of the optimal gains of the controller in the speed control system for the induction motor controlled by the microprocessor. The system is modelled with the discrete-time state equation, considering the time delay, for the facility of the optimization techniques. Introducing the conjugate gradient descent method, as the optimization technique, are derived the optimal gains, the gains which give the best transient characteristics. At the optimal gains obtained, the theoretcal transient responses are verified by experimental ones on a 5HP induction motor drive system.

  • This paper is to design an autobalancing system based-on microprocessor for hemodiafiltration (HDF) system. The proposed system consist of motor control part, thermostatic control part, alarm system and electronic scale which ar automatically controlled by microprocessor. Conventional hemodialysis system can not remove medium molecular articles but hemodialysis system with the proposed system can remove and infuse substitute to the patient. This system can be easily interfaced with any other conventional HD system. The results obtained from performance evaluation of the proposed system are suitable for clinical supporting system.

  • Recently, the microprocessor with network function based control system instead of conventional microprocessor is widely used for industrial applications, and also these technologies are widely adopted for train control and monitoring in modem rapid transit system. The purpose of this paper is to propose a criteria for data transmission, which was designed and realized through Korea High Speed Train. Noise, distortion and attenuation are always present in data transmission system and strictly limit performance. This paper describes a method to calculate the propagation constant, attenuation constant, phase velocity and length of stub.

  • This paper describes development of a microprocessor-based optoelectronic guard system established a higher level of control reliability in machine guard design. The system uses the design concept of diverse redundancy and a fast software algorithm. We have accomplished an safety light curtain system that allows to be intentionally disabled moving machine by the interrupt of dangerous situations. As a result, it is showed that the proposed system is effective enough to practical applications.

Least Square Method: A Novel Approach to Determine Symmetrical Components of Power System

  • This paper proposes a novel approach to determine symmetrical components of power system by applying method of least squares in time domain. For the modern power system stability, clearance of faults on high voltage transmission lines in zero response time is crucial and important. Symmetrical components have a great attention since last century. They have been found an effective tool for the analysis of symmetrical and unsymmetrical faults in power system. Moreover, magnitude of symmetrical components are also used as a caution about faults in system. With rapid changes in technology, Microprocessor assumed to be fastest machine of the modern era. Hence microprocessor based techniques were developed and implemented for last few decades. The proposed technique apply least square method in the computation of symmetrical components which is suitable as an application in microprocessor based monitoring and controlling power system in order to avoid cascading failures. Simulation of proposed model is carried out in MATLAB/SIMULINK and all results exploit the validity of model.

미세박판가공을 위한 마이크로 NCT 제작에 관한 연구 (The Development of Micro NCT for Micro Blanking/Punching of Thin Plates)

  • In this paper, we developed the micro NCT system for punching the thin plates, which is driven is driven by the standalone type microprocessor. In order to adjust the alignment between the punch and die in-situ punching procedures, the non-contact type laser sensor for measuring the burr and micro-driving system for punching die with using the differential screw are developed. The height of burr in four directions in the punched hole of test specimen are measured, and the measured data are transferred to the personal computer by RS232C serial communication technology. In the personal computer, by using the graphic user interface type monitoring program and data handling procedures which includes the filtering algorithms, the direction and length of movement of the die position is decided and these data are transferred back to the microprocessor. The microprocessor drives the micro positioning stage based on these data. Even if this method is not a perfect solution for the in-situ alignment in micro punching, but this alignment methodology is accomplished in the same stage just after the punching that we hope to solve the alignment problem in the punching system based on this technology.

  • 최근에 이르러, 임베디드 시스템 및 모바일 장치 뿐만이 아니라 고성능 마이크로프로세서 및 멀티코어프로세서의 전력 소비량이 매우 중요하게 대두되고 있다. 특히, 스마트폰과 태블릿 PC의 광범위한 사용으로 인하여 프로세서의 저전력 소비가 무엇보다 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 고성능 마이크로프로세서에 대하여 빠른 속도를 갖는 명령어 자취형 (trace-driven) 모의실험기 기반의 전력 측정기를 개발하였다. 본 전력 측정기는 마이크로프로세서를 구성하는 복합 조합회로, 배열구조, CAM 구조를 기반으로 하였으며, SPEC 2000 벤치마크를 입력으로 모의실험을 수행하여 각 벤치마크의 평균 전력 소비량을 측정하였다.
