Implementation of BSCT $320{\times}240$ IR-FPA for Uncooled Thermal Imaging System (비냉각 열 영상 시트템용 BSCT $320{\times}240$ IR-FPA의 구현)

  • BSCT 320${\times}$240 IRFPA detector module is implemented, which is a key component in uncooled thermal imaging systems. The detector module consists of two parts, infrared sensitive pixel array and read-out integrated circuit(ROIC). The BSCT 320${\times}$240 pixels are made by laser scribe process and 10-${\mu}m$ micro-bump to satisfy 50-${\mu}m$ pitch and 95-% fill-factor. The ROIC has been designed to electrically address the pixels sequentailly and to improve signal-to-noise ratio with single transistor amplifier, HPF, tunable LPF and clamp circuit. The fabricated hybrid chip of detector and ROIC has been mounted on the TEC built-in ceramic package for more stable operation and tested for lots of electrical and optical properties. The IRFA sample has shown successful properties and met with good results of fill-factor, detectivity and responsivity.

  • Perovskite-structured samarium strontium cobaltite (SSC), which is mixed ionic electronic conductor (MIEC), is considered as a promising cathode material for intermediate temperature-operating solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) due to its high electrocatalytic property. Cathode material containing cobalt (Co) is unstable at high temperature and has a relatively high thermal expansion property. In this paper, Sm-Sr-(Co,Fe,Ni)-O system with perovskite and spinel structures was investigated in terms of electrochemical property and thermal expansion property, respectively. Area specific resistance (ASR) was measured by ac impedance spectroscopy to investigate the electrochemical property of cathode, and thermal expansion coefficient (TEC) was measured by using dilatometer. Micro structure of cathode was observed by scanning electron microscopy. Perovskite-structured $Sm_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}CoO_{3-\delta}$ showed the ASR of $0.87{\Omega}/cm^{2}$, and $Sm_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}NiO_{3-\delta}$, which actually has a spinel structure, showed the lowest TEC value of $13.3{\times}10^{-6}/K$.

Defect Inspection of Phase Shift Photo-Mask with Digital Hologram Microscope (디지털 홀로그램 현미경을 이용한 위상차 포토마스크 결함 측정)

  • We report here on the application of a digital holographic microscope as a metrology tool for the inspection and the micro-topography reconstruction of different micro-structures of phase shift photo-mask (PSM). The lithography by phase shift photo-mask uses the interference and the pattern of the PSM is not imaged by general optical microscope. The technique allows us to obtain digitally a high-fidelity surface topography description of the phase shift photo-mask with only one hologram image acquisition, allowing us to have relatively simple and compact set-ups able to give quantitative information of PSM.

  • This paper has been studied about supply of optical source of laser diode with stable and uniform output wavelength in optical transmission system. The stabilized constant current circuit is designed. The temperature control circuit is constructed for the control of internal temperature of laser diode. Also, the wavelength locker is used in optical output. Finally, A/D, D/A converter and micro-processor are used for the control of temperature.

Tilt Aberration Compensation Using Interference Patterns in Digital Holography

  • We present a numerical procedure that compensates for tilt phase aberration in in-line digital holography by computing the period of interference patterns in the reconstructed phase image. This method enables the reconstruction of correct and accurate phase information, even if strong tilt aberrations exist. Example applications of tilt aberration compensation are shown for a tilted plate, a micro-lens array, and a thin film transistor. This method is convenient because it uses only one hologram and no hardware to minimize the tilt aberration.

  • 본 연구에서는 MicroTec 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 태양전지의 최적화 효율을 얻기 위한 연구를 하고자 한다. 효율은 태양전지의 성능을 나타내는 가장 중요한 인자로서 태양으로부터 입사된 에너지에 대한 출력에너지의 비로 정의된다. 효율은 입사되는 태양광 스펙트럼이나 세기, 그리고 전지의 온도에 영향을 받기도 하므로 태양전지의 변화효율은 정밀하게 조절된 조건에서 측정되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 온도(200K-300K)와 Trap(트랩) 에너지(0.1eV~1.0eV) 파라미터의 값을 변화하면서 특성을 분석하였다. 그리고 이동도 모델에 따른 전류-전압 특성을 분석하였다. 분석결과에 따른 곡선 인자(Fill factor를) 비교하여 태양전지의 효율을 최적화 할 수 있는 모델을 제시할 것이다.

  • 본 연구에서는 산화막 두께에 따른 20nm 이하 MOSFET의 전류-전압 특성 곡선 분석하였다. 산화물 내의 등가 포획 전하는 가우시안 함수를 사용하였다. 채널의 길이가 20nm 이하인 LDD MOSFET를 설계하여 사용하였고, 소자를 시뮬레이션 하기 위하여 실리콘 공정 디바이스 시뮬레이터인 MicroTec의 SemSim을 사용하였다. SemSim은 디바이스 시뮬레이터로써 입력 바이어스에 의해 공정 시뮬레이션인 SiDif와 디바이스 조립인 MergIC에 의해 소자를 시뮬레이션 한다. 산화막의 두께를 2nm, 3nm, 4nm로 시뮬레이션 한 결과 산화막의 두께가 얇아짐에 따라 드레인에 흐르는 전류가 증가함을 알 수 있었다.

Studies on Serum Micro-mineral, Hormone and Vitamin Profile and Its Effect on Production and Therapeutic Management of Buffaloes in Haryana State of India

  • A survey was conducted in certain parts of Haryana to record the prevalence of micro mineral deficiency in buffaloes. The prevalence of soil Cu, Co, Zn and Fe deficiency was 55.26%, 6.9%, 59.12% and 7.89% respectively. While that of fodder Cu, Co, Zn and Fe was 60.64%, 6.7%, 61.22% and 11.37% respectively. The overall prevalence of serum Cu, Co, Zn and Fe deficiency in Haryana was 59.2%, 19.1%, 59.2% and 19.9% respectively. The correlation co-efficient of Cu, Co, Zn and Fe in soil, fodder and serum was significant in most of the cases the values were above 0.8. Blood examination revealed significant decrease in haemoglobin and TEC level. However, no variation in level of TLC were observed in mineral deficient buffaloes. In micro mineral deficiency, thyroid hormone (T3 and T4) levels were decreased in buffaloes. Marginally lower concentration of vitamin A and E were observed in mineral deficient buffaloes in Haryana. The highest deficiency of micro minerals was 61.76% in copper at Ambala followed by 65.86% in zinc at Rhotak. For therapeutic studies a mineral mixture was prepared according to defiency obtained and fed to three groups of animals. Observation was recorded on 0, 15, 30, 45 and 60 days. Group A consist of normal healthy animals and group B mineral deficient animal untreated and group C mineral deficient animal, treated with prepared mineral mixture. 25 gram of mineral mixture was fed daily along with normal ration. There was increase in body weight, milk yield, haemoglobin concentration and total erythrocyte level in group C animals when compared to group B animals. The milk yield in group C animals increased to 6.970${\pm}$0.41 after 60th day of supplement in comparison to 0 day where it was 5.910${\pm}$0.37, similarly the body wt. of group C animals increased from 129.42${\pm}$01.13 (at 0 day) to 159.31${\pm}$03.61 at 60th day of treatment.

Different Sources and Levels of Copper Supplementation on Performance and Nutrient Utilization of Castrated Black Bengal (Capra hircus) Kids Diet

  • Twenty eight 3-4 month old castrated Black Bengal kids (Capra hircus) were used to determine the effects of source and level of dietary copper (Cu) concentration on their performance and nutrient utilization. Cu was supplemented (0, 10, 20 and 30 mg/kg diet DM) as copper sulfate ($CuSO_4$, $5H_2O$) or copper proteinate (Cu-P). Kids were fed a basal diet containing maize (19.5%), soybean (17.0%), deoiled rice bran (56.5%), molasses (4.0%), di-calcium phosphate and salt (1.0% each) and mineral and vitamin mixture (0.5% each) supplements at 3.5% of body weight to meet NRC (1981) requirements for protein, energy, macro minerals and micro minerals, excluding Cu. The basal diet contained 5.7 mg Cu/kg, 122.5 mg Fe/kg, 110 mg Zn/kg, 0.26 mg Mo/kg and 0.32% S. $CuSO_4$ or Cu-P was added to the basal diet at the rate of 10, 20 and 30 mg/kg. Kids were housed in a well ventilated shed with facilities for individual feeding in aluminum plated metabolic cages. Blood samples were collected from the jugular vein on d 0, 30, 60 and 90 to determine hemoglobin (Hb), packed cell volume (PCV), total erythrocyte count (TEC), total leukocyte count (TLC) and serum enzymes (alkaline phosphatase, alanine transferase and aspertate transferase). A metabolism trial of 6 days duration was conducted after 90 days of experimental feeding. Statistical analysis revealed that source and level of Cu supplementation improved live weight gain (p<0.04) and average daily gain (p<0.01). No significant contribution of source and level of Cu to alter serum serum enzymes was evident. Goats fed Cu-P tended to have higher Hb, PCV and TEC than with $CuSO_4$ supplementation. Cu-P increased digestibility of ether extract (EE, p<0.02) and crude fiber (p<0.05) and showed an increasing trend (p<0.09) for digested crude protein (CP) and crude fiber (CF). Supplemental dose of Cu linearly improved (p<0.02) digestibilities of dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), EE and nitrogen free extract (NFE). Though the absorption of nitrogen (N) was not affected (p>0.10) by both source and dose of Cu, N retention was affected (p<0.04) and there was a significant $Source{\times}Dose$ interaction (p<0.05). Final body weight (BW) was not influenced (p>0.10) by the source of Cu but increasing dose of Cu increased (p<0.04) the BW of kids. TDN intake (g/kg $W^{0.75}$) was higher (p<0.05) with the increased dose of Cu and there was a significant $Source{\times}Dose$ interaction. It was concluded that supplementation of Cu from different sources and varying dose level in a concentrate based diet may improve performance, nutrient utilization and plane of nutrition in castrated Black Bengal kids. The effects on performance and nutrient utilization are more pronounced with Cu-P than $CuSO_4$ supplementation. Higher dose of Cu showed better result than lower dose.

Bakanae Disease Reduction Effect by Use of Silicate Coated Seed in Wet Direct-Seeded Rice (규산코팅 벼 종자를 이용한 담수직파재배 시 벼 키다리병 경감효과)

  • To investigate the effect of soluble silicate zeolite dressing of the rice against bakanae disease, field trial in reclaimed land and in vitro were carried out. The coated rice seeds (SCS) which were dressed with the mixture of 25% silicic acids (binder), and the zeolite (coating powder). In wet direct seeding, uniform scattering of rice seeds on the soil surface and the better seedling establishment were shown in SCS treatment plots. The incidence of bakanae disease began from the mid tillering stage toward the heading stage. Around heading stage, the ratio of infected tillers reached its highest point by 9.9% in non-SCS treatment plots. While, in SCS treatment plots, the ratio of infected tillers was no more than 0.01%. The vitality of the pathogenic fungi of bakanae disease in the SCS and non-SCS samples were assessed. Samples were incubated for one week keeping proper humidity at $30^{\circ}C$ after inoculated with panicles of infected rice plants from experimental field plots. In non-SCS treatment, pinkish colonies were formed on the grain surface of panicle of infected plants, and mycelium, macro-conidia and micro-conidia were developed actively inside part of infected grain inoculated. While in SCS treatment, micro-conidia and mycelium were not survived and the growth of macro-conidia, mycelia were greatly inhibited and withered. Based on the results, it is concluded that the environmental friendly control of bakanae disease by use of SCS is possible and soluble silicate can be applied as agents for replacement of seed disinfection.
