Multi-Dimensional Reinforcement Learning Using a Vector Q-Net - Application to Mobile Robots

  • Reinforcement learning is considered as an important tool for robotic learning in unknown/uncertain environments. In this paper, we propose an evaluation function expressed in a vector form to realize multi-dimensional reinforcement learning. The novel feature of the proposed method is that learning one behavior induces parallel learning of other behaviors though the objectives of each behavior are different. In brief, all behaviors watch other behaviors from a critical point of view. Therefore, in the proposed method, there is cross-criticism and parallel learning that make the multi-dimensional learning process more efficient. By ap-plying the proposed learning method, we carried out multi-dimensional evaluation (reward) and multi-dimensional learning simultaneously in one trial. A special neural network (Q-net), in which the weights and the output are represented by vectors, is proposed to realize a critic net-work for Q-learning. The proposed learning method is applied for behavior planning of mobile robots.

마이크로비트를 활용한 지도학습 중심의 머신러닝 교육 프로그램의 개발과 적용 (Development and application of supervised learning-centered machine learning education program using micro:bit)

  • 다가오는 지능정보사회의 핵심이 될 인공지능(AI) 교육의 필요성이 대두되면서, 국가적 차원에서도 교육과정에 인공지능 관련 내용을 포함하는 등 관심을 집중시키고 있다. 본 연구에서는 지도학습 중심의 머신러닝을 통해 생활 속 문제를 해결하는 과정에서 학생들의 창의적 문제해결력을 신장시키기 위해 PASPA 교육 프로그램을 제시하였으며, 학습의 효과를 높이기 위해 피지컬 컴퓨팅 도구인 마이크로비트(Micro:bit)를 활용하였다. PASPA 교육 프로그램에 적용된 교수 학습 과정은 문제 인식(Problem Recoginition), 해결 방법 논의(Argument), 데이터 기준 세우기(Setting data standard), 프로그래밍(Programming), 적용 및 평가(Application and evaluation)의 5단계로 이루어진다. 본 교육 프로그램을 학생들에게 적용한 결과 창의적 문제해결력의 향상을 확인할 수 있었으며, 세부 영역에서는 특정 영역의 지식·사고, 비판적·논리적 사고 영역에서 유의한 차이를 보임이 확인되었다.

기업교육 이러닝 콘텐츠의 동향과 발전 방향 (Trends and Future Directions of Corporate e-learning Contents)

  • Purpose - One of the biggest problems in the e-learning distribution process is the lack of quality content and learners' discredit in e-learning content. In order to respond to the various demands of the corporate education field appropriately, it is necessary to search for directions of new e-learning models that are out of traditional e-learning contents. The purpose of this study is to identify recent trend issues related to corporate e-learning and to suggest directions for development. Research design, data, and methodology - Based on the literature review, trend issues that should be considered important in corporate e-learning were derived. Online survey was conducted to evaluate the importance-feasibility of each issue to 13 experts on e-learning and corporate education. The contents of the questionnaire are as follows: 1) recognition of importance and feasibility of trend issues to be considered important in the future corporate education field; 2) factors to be considered in developing future e-learning contents. Results - Six trends derived from a comprehensive literature review. The most important e-learning trends for corporate education field were 'mobile learning', 'micro learning', 'blended learning', 'social learning', 'adaptive learning', 'engaged learning'. As a result of evaluating the importance and feasibility of each issue, experts point out that 'mobile learning' and 'micro learning' should be actively considered for introduction and utilization at present. In addition, 'social learning' and 'blended learning' need to be actively considered in the near future. On the other hand, experts recognized that 'adaptive learning' and 'engaged learning' need to be prepared from a long-term perspective. Conclusions - There are two main reasons for this result. First, in corporate e-learning, it is important to 1) be able to update on time, 2) the connection with the workplace is important. Second, it requires realistic verification of the expected performance of the learning model. To be considered part of the future are as follows: First, the value and effectiveness of the new e-learning type should be studied. Seconds, e-learning contents should be developed through adopting SAM or Agile methodology. Through this process, we would be able to enhance the quality in e-learning content.

소셜 미디어를 활용한 소셜 러닝 체제 연구 (A research for Social Learning method of using Social Media)

  • 소셜 미디어 (Social Media)는 사람들이 자신의 생각과 의견, 경험, 관점 등을 서로 공유하고 참여하기 위해 사용하는 개방화된 온라인 툴과 미디어 플랫폼으로서 소비와 생산의 일반적인 흐름이 동작하지 않으며, 양방향성을 활용하여 사람들이 참여하고 정보를 공유하며 사용자들이 만들어 나간다. 이런 소셜 미디어에는 블로그(Blog), 소셜 네트워킹서비스(Social Networking Service, SNS), 위키(Wiki), 손수제작물(UCC), 마이크로 블로그(Micro Blog) 5가지가 있다. 소셜 러닝은 넓게는 사람들이 소셜 미디어를 통해 서로 협업과 집단지성을 나누며 스스로 학습하는 것으로 좁게는 소셜 미디어를 통한 학습이라고 정의할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 소셜 미디어와 Social Learning에 대해 자세히 알아보고 초등학교에서 어떻게 활용할 수 있는지 연구하였다.

인터넷 윤리교육을 위한 SNS 기반의 블렌디드 러닝 시스템 구현과 효과 분석 (An Implementation and Analysis on the Effectiveness of SNS based Blended Learning System for Internet Ethics Education)

  • The purpose of this paper was to design and implement effective learning model for internet ethics education, following the learning principle and procedure of PBL(Problem-Based Learning) which is one of the constructivism teaching-learning theories(, and to apply it). In this learning model, online learning and face-to-face classes were systematically combined for achieving the teaching-learning goals and the main module for online learning run on Moodle, an open source LMS(Learning Management System). It is possible for learner to participate actively in creation of micro-contents and reorganize contents using various SNS(Social Network Service). The learner can achieve the learner-oriented learning and select micro-contents in order to reorganize the personalized learning contents to take advantage of SNS among learners. To examine educational effectiveness of the proposed learning model, an experimental study was conducted through the education content and method to the subjects of two classes in the second-grade of university located in OO city. 60 students(treatment group=30, control group=30) participated in the experiment. The result statistically verified that the proposed learning method is more effective in cultivating consciousness of internet ethics than the face-to-face PBL learning method. The results of this paper also showed that a lecture using blended learning is efficient in achieving learning performance and that learners responded positively(, which are indicating that the higher effectiveness of learning would be expected) by forming connectedness among learners using SNS. 소공인클러스터의 특성과 발달단계에 대한 비교연구: 서울시 창신 및 장위 의류봉제 클러스터를 중심으로 (Comparatie Study on the Characteristics and Development Stage of Micro Manufacturers Clusters: Focused on Apparel Sewing Clusters in Changsin and Jangwi, Seoul, Korea)

  • 소공인클러스터의 지원정책은 소공인클러스터의 지역적 특성을 반영해야 하지만, 유관기업의 통상적인 정보 수집을 기반으로 비슷한 정책만 내놓고 있다. 소공인클러스터의 지역적 특성이 파악이 안 되므로 지원정책에 반영이 되지 않고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 소공인클러스터의 특성을 클러스터의 특징인 국지화, 네트워킹/착근성, 혁신시너지/집단학습의 형성요소로 분석하였으며, 분석된 형성요소를 기반으로 발달단계를 적용해 보았다. 같은 업종이어도 지역적 특성이 다를 수 있으므로, 서울시 의류봉제업의 대표적인 클러스터인 창신지역과 장위지역의 소공인클러스터를 지역적 특성과 발달단계로 비교 연구하였다. 의류봉제 소공인클러스터의 특성 분석 결과, 국지화에서 동종업체 집적은 창신지역이 장위지역보다 높게 나타났으며, 네트워킹/착근성에서 두 지역 모두 잘 형성되어 있었다. 하지만 혁신시너지/집단학습의 협업에서 창신지역은 디자이너 중심으로 장위지역은 소공인 중심으로 이루어져 있고, 박람회 및 세미나 참여와 샘플 및 제작에 있어 창신지역은 적극적인 반면 장위지역은 소극적으로 나타났다. 두 형성요소로 살펴본 결과, 두 지역의 소공인클러스터의 발달단계는 창신 의류봉제 소공인클러스터의 경우 산업지구를 넘어 혁신지구로 진행되고 있고, 장위 의류봉제 소공인클러스터는 산업지구에 머물러 있는 것으로 분석된다. 창신과 장위 의류봉제 소공인클러스터는 지속적인 성장을 위해서는 두 지역의 특성과 발달단계를 반영한 정부의 지원정책이 필요하다고 제언한다.

마이크로 드릴비트 연마 시스템 연삭휠의 마모 진단 연구 (A Study on the Wear Condition Diagnosis of Grinding Wheel in Micro Drill-bit Grinding System)

  • In this study, to diagnose the grinding state of a micro drill bit, a sensor attachment location was selected through random vibration analysis of the grinding unit of the micro drill-bit grinding system. In addition, the vibration data generated during the drill bit grinding were collected from the grinding unit for the grinding wheels under the steady and worn conditions, and data feature extraction and dimension reduction were performed. The wear of the micro-drill-bit grinding wheel was diagnosed by applying KNN, a machine-learning algorithm. The classification model showed excellent performance, with an accuracy of 99.2%. The precision, recall and f1-score were higher than 99% in both the steady and wear conditions.

마이크로 로봇 교육을 통한 초등학교 창의성 계발에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Creativity in Elementary School Through Micro-Robot Education)

  • 현재의 첨단 산업에서는 단순한 공작 활동에서 벗어나 창의적으로 생각하고 조작할 수 있는 공학적인 마인드를 갖는 인재를 필요로 하고 있다. 이러한 시대적 요구에 따라 초등학교 단계에서의 마이크로 로봇제작 교육은 아동들의 창의성을 계발할 수 있는 적절한 대안이 될 것이다. 이러한 필요성에 따라, 본 연구에서는 창의성 계발을 위한 효과적인 마이크로 로봇 교육 프로그램을 고안하고 이를 현장에 적용하여 실제 구현하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 마이크로 로봇 제작을 위한 초등학교용 교수 학습 자료를 제시하였다 둘째, 초등학생에게 맞는 학습 프로그램을 7단계로 나누어 고안하였다. 마지막으로 구안한 학습 프로그램을 현장에 적용, 분석한 결과 학습자의 창의성 향상이 있었다.

반복학습제어를 이용한 커터 런아웃 보상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Cutter Runout In-Process Compensation Using Repetitive Loaming Control)

  • This paper presents the In-process compensation to control cutter runout and improve the machined surface quality. Cutter runout compensation system consists of the micro-positioning servo system with piezoelectric actuator which is embeded in the sliding table to manipulate radial depth of cut in real-time. Cutting force feedback control was proposed in the angle domain based upon repetitive learning control strategy to eliminate chip load variation in end milling process. Micro-positioning control due to adaptive actuation force response improves the machined surface quality by compensation runout effect induced cutting force variation. This result will provide lots of information to build-up the preciswion machining technology.

Designing a Micro-Learning-Based Learning Environment and Its Impact on Website Designing Skills and Achievement Motivation Among Secondary School Students

  • The study aimed to elucidate how to design a learning environment on the premise of micro-learning (ML) and investigate its impact on website designing skills and achievement motivation among secondary school students. Adopting the experimental approach, data were collected through an achievement test, a product evaluation form, and a test to gauge motivation for achievement. The sample was divided into two experimental groups. Results revealed statistically significant differences at 0.05≥α between the mean scores of the two groups that experienced ML, irrespective of the two modes of presenting the video in the pre-test and post-test, as for the test of websites design skills, product evaluation form, and achievement motivation test. Besides, there have been statistically significant differences at 0.05≥α between the mean scores of the first experimental group that had exposure to ML using the split-video presentation style and the scores of the second experimental group that underwent ML using continuous video presentation style in the post cognitive test of website design and management skills in favor of the group that had segmented-video-presentation ML. Another salient finding is the nonexistence of significant differences at 0.05≥α between the mean scores of the first experimental group that underwent segmented-video-presentation ML and the grades of the second experimental group that received ML with continuous video presentation style in the post-application of the product scorecard of websites designing skills and the motivation test. In light of these salient findings, the study recommended using ML in teaching computer courses at different educational stages in Saudi Arabia, training computer and information technology teachers to harness ML in their teaching and using ML in designing courses at all levels of education.
