A Micro-Webpage Stored in NFC Tag (NFC태그에 저장 가능한 마이크로 웹페이지)

  • A Smartphone has an ability accessing Internet by URL stored in NFC(Near Field Communication) Tag for storing the information of items, blogs and web pages. Because the system works through the Internet with URL, however, it needs to pay some costs like communication fee and time. If we can store the web page on the tags, we can save the communication overhead. But they have too small memory to store it. In this paper, we introduce the Micro-Webpage technology which can be stored in NFC tag or QR(Quick Response) code. To make a Micro-Webpage, we remove control tags from the web page to leave a user original content. The removed control tags are stored in our smartphone application as a template. The user content is also compressed to a smaller one by an lossless compression algorithm. When a tag is read, the stored content is decompressed and, it is combined with the template to make the original web page. We have implemented a prototype of Micro-Webpage system on Android platform and confirmed that the prototype has reasonable performance improvements in saving memory and loading web page time.

  • In this paper, we present design and developing method for EMS(environment monitoring system) of micro data center. This developing EMS monitors operating environment of micro data center and analyze sensing data through IoT(Internet of things) sensors in real time. Firstly we present configuration method of IoT sensing package and design method EMS hardware platform. Secondly we design data collector software for data collection of IoT sensor with different protocol and develop monitoring software of EMS. The data collector software consists of sensor collector module and collector manager module. Also we design EMS software which has micro service architecture structural style and component based business logic.

  • Since surgery is usually a difficult task because of physiological tremor, eye strain, and tremor, contagious and radioactive hazard, it is necessary to develop micro-surgery telerobotic system using improved tools suitable for their specific tasks. Nowadays the growth of interest on microsurgery and medical applications of robotics has been so rapid. But the medical robots are only practical applications of the industrial robots. This paper identifies five general areas of advanced microsurgery based on the current technological background and expertise, and analyzes the motion, tool and accuracy with respect to microsurgery task, and proposed the criteria to evaluate micro-surgical manipulator. The analysis of microusrgery can be heplful to clarify some basic concept and design of micro-surgical manipulators. With these data we will alos propose an efficient in-parallel-platform manipulator having special kinematic structrue structure suitable for microsurgery.

3D-inertia Valve Component for Centrifugal Force-based Micro Fluid Control (원심력기반 3차원 관성밸브 모델링을 통한 정밀 미세유체제어)

  • A three-dimensional slope valve component is used for controlling micro volume of liquid on a centrifugal force-based microfluidic disk platform, also called a lab-on-a-disk. The modeling factor of the slope valve component is determined to centrifugal force for liquid passing the crest of a slope valve via variation of slope length and angle as well as the radius to start point of slope valve. The centrifugal force is calculated by the equilibrium equation of the capillary and gravitational forces according to the microchannel surface roughness and the liquid volume, respectively. As a result, the slope valve is analyzed by the minimum angular velocity for liquid passing at crest point and the ratio between the length of micro liquid and slope length to obtain the factors for optimal slope angle modeling.

  • The introduction of Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) has been widely discussed in the Korean transportation research field. However, there is no robust criterion to derive the throughput of cars and passengers at PRT stations, which plays a primary role in determining the overall capacity of PRT systems. The present study provided a methodology to rigorously compute the capacity for simple-serial PRT stations with a single platform, considering three decisive factors, i.e., the demand level of incoming cars and outgoing passengers, the station structure, and the operation strategy. A micro-level simulator was developed for the analysis of station capacity. And, by using this, station capacities were presented for various combinations of the decisive factors. In particular, the relationship between capacity and station structure was investigated in detail. Station structure is represented by the numbers of platform berths, input queue berths, and output queue berths. Moreover, both waive rate and waiting time, which represent the level of passenger service, were taken into account when the station throughput was computed.

  • Many XML-compliant UIDLs(User Interface Description Languages) have been developed to specify user interfaces. Although previous UIDLs are helpful to describe user interfaces of web and desktop applications, they are not available of developing UI of mobile applications. In this paper, in order to effectively specify user interfaces of MIDlet which is application model on J2ME(Java Platform, Micro Edition), we propose MIML(Midlet Interface Markup Language) and present transformation rules to generate source codes from MIML. Further, we enhance the usability of MIML through J2MERenderer which is a tool using presented rules. The proposed method can specify user interfaces of mobile applications and allow developers to keep productivity and consistency in development phase.

  • Response to nerve stimulation platform for implementing measures to detect finger movement has been functioning as an important factor. This stimulated finger on the nerve and muscle responses would vary. Gas Sensing Characteristics of Ru doped-WO3 Micro Gas Sensors (루테늄이 첨가된 텅스텐 산화물을 이용한 마이크로 가스 센서의 암모니아 가스 감지 특성)

  • In this study, micro gas sensors for ammonia gas were prepared by adopting MEMS technology and using a sol-gel process. Three types of sensors were prepared via different synthesis routes starting with W sol and Ru sol mixture. This mixture was deposited on a MEMS platform and the platform was subsegueny heated to a temperature of $350^{\circ}C$. The topography and crystal structure of the sensing film were studied using FE-SEM and XRD. The response of the gas sensor to $NH_3$ gas was examined at various operating temperatures and gas concentrations. The sensor response increased almost linearly with gas concentration and the best sensing response was obtained at $333^{\circ}C$ for 5.0 ppm $NH_3$ for the specimen prepared by coating $WO_3$ powders with the Ru sol mixture.

Why Do Users Participate in Hashtag Challenges in a Short-form Video Platform?: The Role of Para-Social Interaction (숏폼 비디오 플랫폼에서 사용자는 왜 해시태그 챌린지에 참여하는가?: 준사회적 상호작용을 중심으로)

  • One of the interesting social phenomena in short-form video platforms is the hashtag challenge wherein ordinary users are encouraged to create by imitating short viral videos on a particular theme. Despite the increasing popularity of hashtag challenges, theoretical discussion on related user behavior is still very insufficient. In this study, we attempted to examine the impact of micro-influencers in order to understand users' willingness to participate in hashtag challenges. For this purpose, the para-social interaction theory and imitation behavior literature were adopted as key theoretical basis. In an empirical investigation using 243 survey data from TikTok users, our study found that a user's illusion of intimacy with a micro-influencer (i.e., para-social interaction) had significant positive impact on the intention to participate in a hashtag challenge. This study also showed that the degree of para-social interaction in a short-form video platform was determined by both media content-related factors and media character-related factors (i.e., content attractiveness, physical attractiveness, and attitude homophily). Our work in this study provided significant theoretical and practical implications on how to leverage micro-influencers for the success of hashtag challenges in a short-form video platform.

  • In this paper, we proposed the remote visual monitoring system on mobile robot platform. The proposed system is composed of ARM9 core PXA255 processor, micro CMOS camera and wireless network and the captured visual image is transmitted via 803.11b/g wireless LAN(WLAN) for remote visual monitoring operations. Robot platform maneuvering command is transmitted via WLAN from host and the $640{\times}480$, $320{\times}240$ pixel fixed visual image is transmitted to host at the rate of $3{\sim}10$ frames per second. Experimental system is implemented on Linux OS base and tested for remote visual monitoring operation and verified the proposed objects.
