Nanosized and aggregated $Y_2O_3:Eu$ Red phosphors were prepared by template method from metal salt impregnated into crystalline cellulose. The particle size and photoluminescent property of $Y_2O_3:Eu$ red phosphors were controlled by variation of the calcination temperature and time. Dispersed nanosol was also obtained from the aggregated $Y_2O_3:Eu$ Red phosphor under bead mill wet process. The dispersion property of the $Y_2O_3:Eu$ nanosol was optimized by controlling the bead size, bead content ratio and milling time. The median particle size ($D_{50}$) of $Y_2O_3:Eu$ nanosol was found to be around 100 nm, and to be below 90 nm after centrifuging. In spite of the low photoluminescent properties of $Y_2O_3:Eu$ nanosol, it was observed that the photoluminescent property recovered after re-calcination. The dispersion and photoluminescent properties of $Y_2O_3:Eu$ nanosol were investigated using a particle size analyzer, FE-SEM, and a fluorescence spectrometer.

$Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ red phosphors were prepared by template method from crystalline cellulose impregnated by metal salt. The crystallite size and photoluminescence(PL) property of $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ red phosphors were controlled by varying the calcination temperature and $Eu^{3+}$ mol ratio. The nano dispersion of $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ was also conducted with a bead mill wet process. Dependent on the time of bead milling, $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ nanosol of around 100 nm (median particle size : $D_{50}$) was produced. As the bead milling process proceeded, the luminescent efficiency decreased due to the low crystallinity of the $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ nanoparticles. In spite of the low PL property of $Gd_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ nanosol, it was observed that the photoluminescent property was recovered after re-calcination. In addition, in the dispersed nanosol treated at $85^{\circ}C$, a self assembly phenomenon between particles appeared, and the particles changed from spherical to rod-shaped. These results indicate that particle growth occurs due to mutual assembly of $Gd(OH)_3$ particles, which is the hydration of $Gd_2O_3$ particles, in aqueous solvent at $85^{\circ}C$.
This study is to arrange the amount of foreign direct investment(FDI) inflow into the country between 2011 and 2013, using the Input-output Table on the basis of the bench-mark table of the same period, based on the Industry Relation Table. As a result, the average amount of FDI inflow of the three years was estimated 15.3 trillion won, and the average gross product inducement amount 45.8 trillion won. The characteristic of FDI inflow is that it is weighted in the industries with the high index of the sensitivity of dispersion and the high index of the power of dispersion, such as chemical products, electric and electronic equipment and metal products. It is especially anticipated to attract FDI to the industry with the high index of the sensitivity of dispersion used as the intermediary product.

This paper describes the surface modification effect of a Ti substrate for improved dispersibility of the catalytic metal. Etching of a pure titanium substrate was conducted in 50% $H_2SO_4$, $50^{\circ}C$ for 1 h-12 h to observe the surface roughness as a function of the etching time. At 1 h, the grain boundaries were obvious and the crystal grains were distinguishable. The grain surface showed micro-porosities owing to the formation of micro-pits less than $1{\mu}m$ in diameter. The depths of the grain boundary and micro-pits appear to increase with etching time. After synthesizing the catalytic metal and growing the carbon nano tube (CNT) on Ti substrate with varying surface roughness, the distribution trends of the catalytic metal and grown CNT on Ti substrate are discussed from a micro-structural perspective.
Supported catalysts are at the heart of manufacturing essential chemical, agricultural and pharmaceutical products. While the longevity of such systems is critically hinged on the durability of metal nanoparticles, the conventional deposition/dispersion techniques are difficult to enhance the stability of the metal nanoparticles due to the lack of control over the interaction between metal-support. Regarding this matter, ex-solution has begun to be recognized as one of the most promising methodologies to develop thermally and chemically robust nanoparticles. By dissolving desired catalysts as a cation form into a parent oxide, fine and uniformly distributed metal nano-catalysts can be subsequently grown in situ under reductive heat treatment, which is referred to ex-solution. Over the several years, ex-solved analog has resulted in tremendous progress in the chemical-electrochemical applications due to the exceptional robustness coupled with ease synthesis. Herein, we describe the ex-solution process in detail which therein introducing the unique characteristics of ex-solved particles that distinguish them from conventionally dispersed nanoparticles. We then go through the history of science regarding the ex-solution phenomena and summarize several major research achievements which embrace the ex-solved nanoparticles to markedly promote the catalytic performances. In conclusion, we address the remaining challenges and the future perspectives of this rapidly growing field.
Ni catalysts on mesoporous silica and commercial silica were prepared for the methanation. XRD and TPR analyses indicated that Ni/mesoporous silica had smaller metal particle size and higher metal dispersion than that of Ni/commercial silica. In addition, Ni/mesoporous silica had stronger metal-support interaction. In methanation, Ni/mesoporous silica showed higher CO conversion and methane yield (65%) than Ni/commercial silica (58%). In the characterization results of catalysts after reaction, Ni/commercial silica was deactivated by the collapse of structure and metal sintering, but Ni/mesoporous silica showed stable catalytic performance.

In this study, a Pd/TiO2 catalyst which oxidized H2 at room temperature without an additional energy source was prepared. And a specific surface area of TiO2 as a support was not proportional to H2 oxidation reaction performance of Pd/TiO2 catalyst. In addition La2O3 was added to Pd/TiO2 catalyst in order to evaluate the performance effect due to the change of catalysts physical properties. A Pd/La2O3-TiO2 was prepared by adding different amounts of La2O3 to TiO2 and CO chemisorption analysis was performed. Compared to the conversion rate (14% at 0.5% H2) of the Pd/TiO2(G) catalyst, the Pd/La2O3-TiO2 catalyst showed 74% which was improved by more than five times. It was found that the larger the metal dispersion of Pd as an active metal is, the more favorable to H2 oxidation reaction is. However, when the added La2O3 amount exceeded 10%, the catalyst performance decreased again. Finally, it was concluded that the physical properties of the Pd/La2O3-TiO2 catalyst have a dominant influence on the catalytic activity until 0.3~0.5% of injected H2 concentrations and the catalyst reaction rate was controlled by substance transfer from 1% or more concentrations of H2.

In this study, the performance of a honeycomb-type hydrogen oxidation catalyst to remove hydrogen in a hydrogen economy society to secure leaking hydrogen. The Pd/TiO2 catalyst was prepared based on a liquid phase reduction method that is not exposed to a heat source, and it was showed through H2-chemisorption analysis that it existed as very small active particles of 2~4 nm. In addition, it was found that the metal dispersion decreased and the active particle size increased as the reduction reaction temperature increased. It was meant that the active metal particle size and the hydrogen oxidation performance were in a proportional correlation, so that it was consistent with the hydrogen oxidation performance reduction result. The prepared catalyst was coated on a support in the form of a honeycomb so that it could be applied to the hydrogen industrial process. When 20 wt% or more of the AS-40 binder was coated, oxidation performance of 90% or more was observed under low-concentration hydrogen conditions. It was showed through SEM analysis that long-term catalytic activity can be expected by enhancing the adhesion strength of the catalyst and preventing catalyst desorption. It is a basic research that can secure safety in a hydrogen society such as gasification, organic resource, and it can be utilized as a system that can respond to unexpected safety accidents in the future.
The Cretaceous metal ore deposits in the Gyeongsang basin of Gyeongsangbuk-do are characterized by the formation of metallogenic provinces which show zonal distribution pattern around Yeonil province where pneumatolytic type is dominated and hydrothermal type are distributed in the order of decreasing temperature type outward. Some Cretaceous granitic rocks include zoned alkali feldspars which reflect rapid variation of $H_2O$ during emplacement and crystallization of the water-saturated granitic magma. The ore deposits are considered to be originated from upward transportation of ore solution from the excess of water exhausted from uprising magma, which seems to be intimately related to the fact that the majority of the ore deposits in Daegu area are cummulated around the granites including zoned alkali feldspars. In order to collect geochemical data necessary for geochemical exploration in the study area, certain trace elements were chosen as pathfinders from monzonite and soil in the vicinity of Dalsung Tungsten Mine by studying the dispersion patterns of trace elements: Ba and Sr show trends to decrease toward ore deposit while Cu, Pb, and Mo increase. Around mining area there are distributed apparently Equisetum arvense Linne and Mentha sachinensis Kudo which may be used as index plants. In the viewpoint of geologic structure, the trends of the ore veins in contact aureole around the Palgongsan granite body correspond with the pre- and syn- plutonism joint pattern in hornfels in the area.

In this paper, the electrical properties of PVD Ta and $TaN_x$ gate electrodes on $SiO_2$ and their thermal stabilities are investigated. The results show that the work functions of $TaN_x$ gate electrode are modified by the amount of N, which is controlled by the flow rate of $N_2$during reactive sputtering process. The thermal stability of Ta and $TaN_x$ with RTO-grown $SiO_2$ gate dielectrics is examined by changes in equivalent oxide thickness (EOT), flat-band voltage ($V_{FB}$), and leakage current after post-metallization anneal at high temperature in $N_2$ambient. For a Ta gate electrode, the observed decrease in EOT and leakage current is due to the formation of a Ta-incorporated high-K layer during the high temperature annealing. Less change in EOT and leakage current is observed for $TaN_x$ gate electrode. It is also shown that the frequency dispersion and hysteresis of high frequency CV curves are improved significantly by a post-metallization anneal.
