A Systematic Review on Role Conflicts of Medical Service Workers (의료서비스종사자의 역할갈등에 관한 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • This study systematically collected and analyzed the results of previous studies on the role conflict of medical service workers. The data were collected according to the systematic review guidelines of PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis). Among the collected documents, 33 were used for the final analysis. The documents using the tools of Kim Mun-sil and Park Sang-yeon were 14,, 12 articles using Rizzio et al's tool, and 3 articles using Eun-hee Lee et al. Qualitative research methods were used in five of the 33 references. As a result of literature analysis, the higher the conflict of roles, the lower the job satisfaction, the employee 's intention, and organizational commitment. The higher the role conflict, the more burnout, job stress, and turnover intention increased. In this study, there are limitations in analyzing the relationship between role conflict and various variables. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that the research on the countermeasures and mediation strategies of the role conflict of medical service workers will be actively conducted.

The Effect of Changes in Leisure Consumption Culture on the Modern Economy

  • Purpose: Leisure time is an intrinsic part of the work-life balance that enables people to rejuvenate their energy and provides a platform to maintain their health while sustaining their productivity levels. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of changes in leisure consumption culture on the modern economy through various research materials. Research design, data and methodology: To have completeness in published systematic reviews and meta-analyses, the use of the standard Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses checklist is essential and the present research selected this research design. Results: This research figured out that individuals who spend most of their leisure time watching TV have been shown to experience lesser satisfaction in their job designation and less happiness overall and also found that Leukocyte Telomere Length is influenced by the type of leisure an individual engages in. Conclusions: Overall, this research points out that the income effect may provide an inverse relationship between work time and labor in that high income from labor makes an individual less inclined to work to make the same money they made before the increased benefits. It is a narrative that may need further research in finding the principles that govern leisure in the labor force.

Scoping Review of Research on Mental Health of Nurses Working in Korean Medicine Hospitals (한방병원에 근무하는 간호사의 정신건강에 대한 연구동향: 국내연구를 중심으로)

  • Objectives: The aim of this scoping review was to analyze research trends about mental health of nurses working in Korean medicine (KM) hospitals in Republic of Korea. Methods: Searches were conducted using four electronic databases including Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System, Korean Studies Information Service System, Research Information Sharing Service, Korea Citation Index to collect relevant studies. The search date was March 4, 2021. All studies published up to the search date were considered. Observational studies reporting mental health outcomes of nurses working at KM Hospital were included. Results: A total of 11 cross-sectional observation studies were included. Four of them compared mental health of nurses working on KM and Western medicine (WM). Commonly reported outcomes related to mental health were job satisfaction, role conflict, and work stress. As a result of meta-analysis based on a 5-point Likert scale, the following factors were related to mental health of KM nurses: job satisfaction (2.844±0.067 points), role conflict (3.678±0.058 points), work stress (3.142±0.021 points), turnover intention (3.483±0.028 points), and burnout (3.180±0.033). Compared to WM nurses, KM nurses had significantly less work stress (p=0.000), role conflict (p=0.039), and job satisfaction (p=0.000). Conclusions: Mental health problems of nurses are known to be very common. Although improving them is an important social task, studies on mental health of KM nurses remain insufficient. Based on findings of this study, more cooperation between nurses and KM doctors should be made to improve the mental health of KM nurses, especially their job satisfaction in the future. The Korean Society of Oriental Neuropsychiatry needs to pay more attention to this topic.

A Meta analysis of variables related to Burnout of nurse in korea (국내 간호사의 소진과 관련된 변인의 메타분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the effect size of protective variables and risk variables based on the previous study which is related to nurse burnout. Master's doctoral and journal degrees from 2005 to 2014, a total of 116 articles side by conducting a meta-analysis suggests a convergence conclusions. The biggest effect size of a nurse burnout protection variable was job variable and the largest effect sized of sub-variable was empathy satisfaction. The biggest effect size of the nurse burnout risk variables was organization variables, the largest effect size of sub variables was the violent reaction. Based on the results of this research, a variety of programs and policy measures for appropriate interventions and arbitration of nurse burnout should be built to decrease the risk variable which can cause nurse burnout and reinforce the protection variable that restrains a nurse burnout.

Customizable Global Job Scheduler for Computational Grid (계산 그리드를 위한 커스터마이즈 가능한 글로벌 작업 스케줄러)

  • Computational grid provides the environment which integrates v 따 ious computing resources. Grid environment is more complex and various than traditional computing environment, and consists of various resources where various software packages are installed in different platforms. For more efficient usage of computational grid, therefore, some kind of integration is required to manage grid resources more effectively. In this paper, a global scheduler is suggested, which integrates grid resources at meta level with applying various scheduling policies. The global scheduler consists of a mechanical part and three policies. The mechanical part mainly search user queues and resource queues to select appropriate job and computing resource. An algorithm for the mechanical part is defined and optimized. Three policies are user selecting policy, resource selecting policy, and executing policy. These can be defined newly and replaced with new one freely while operation of computational grid is temporarily holding. User selecting policy, for example, can be defined to select a certain user with higher priority than other users, resource selecting policy is for selecting the computing resource which is matched well with user's requirements, and executing policy is to overcome communication overheads on grid middleware. Finally, various algorithms for user selecting policy are defined only in terms of user fairness, and their performances are compared.

Literature Review of Studies on South Korean Nurses' Depressive Symptoms (국내 간호사의 우울 관련 문헌분석)

  • Purpose: The purpose was to investigate the literature on depression among South Korean nurses in order to identify overall trends regarding depression. Methods: Forty-five papers published between 1998 and 2017 in three Korean databases-RISS4U, DBPIA, and KISS-were analyzed. Results: Depression showed significant positive associations with job stress, burnout, intent to leave, and somatic symptoms such as fatigue and trouble sleeping. Poor work environments such as staff shortage, work overload, and shift work were also positively associated with depression. Higher job satisfaction, resilience, self-efficacy, self-esteem, and social support were negatively correlated with and acted as significant buffers against depression. Conclusion: These results indicate that healthcare policymakers must pay more attention to the management and prevention of nurses' depression. In order to effectively do so, poor work conditions, which involve long working hours, high patient-to-nurse ratios, and extreme workloads, should be improved. Simultaneously, nursing managers should implement initiatives such as counseling and competency improvement programs, and stress management to reduce and prevent depression among nurses and strengthen their positive competency. Also, further research is required to clarify the prevalence of depression in South Korean nurses, with more meta-analyses also required to identify variations in depression rates owing to various factors.

A Qualitative Interpretative Meta-Synthesis(QIMS) Study on the Experience and Coping of Client Violence in Social Workers (사회복지사의 클라이언트 폭력경험과 대처에 관한 질적 해석적 메타통합(QIMS) 연구)

  • This study was to applied QIMS(Qualitative Interpretive Meta-Synthesis) which was newly introduced in the field of social science recently to explore the client violence experience and coping in the social workers in a new way and in depth. The integrated analysis of the results of qualitative individual studies published in Korea so far has resulted in abundant results with accumulated knowledge and synergistic understanding paths of existing research results, and the limitations of qualitative research have been overcome. Eight published papers from 2013 to 2020 were included in the final analysis, and a total of 85 social workers analyzed the statements. The newly important themes created through the process of reducing the scope of data and the repetition of theme extraction and integration were divided into four categories: (1) violence and pain that can not be removed, (2) duality experienced as a result of occupation, (3) continuous attempts to change, (4) manifestation of sense of duty and job meaning. Based on the results of the integrated themes derived from this study, this study aims to present practical and policy alternatives to the prevention and coping of client violence experienced by social workers in various social welfare practice fields.

The relationship between safety climate and safety participation in construction industry (건설업 근로자들의 안전분위기와 안전참여의 관계에 대한 연구)

  • Safety climate in the research area of industrial safety begins to be influential meta-theory. With this research trend, this paper is to examine the relationship between safety climate and safety participation, and the moderating effect of age. Data were gathered from 292 manufacturing workers in construction industry. It is found that management involvement, safety education, and precaution activities have affirmative effect on safety participation, and physical job load negative effect on it. Next, education, precaution activities, and safety system were found to have interactional effects on safety participation with age.

  • This study deals with the overall meta-cognitive aspects of ATC-Pilot miscommunications pertinent to cognitive human errors based on the previous literature research which it has been focused on the issue of the global aviation English use in regard with aircraft accident and incident. Especially, it addresses the concern over the ICAO aviation English language proficiency evaluation program which will be implemented globally in March, 2008. In addition, It presents the analysis related to the on-going English language proficiency level four test conducted for Korean civil airlines pilots and air traffic controllers.

  • 미국 페르미연구소에서 현재 수행되고 있는 고에너지물리 실험의 하나인 CDF 실험에서는 현재 303대의 Dual CUP 클러스터를 이용한 중심분석용팜(CAF, Central Analysis Farm)을 페르미 연구소 내에 구성하여 실제 데이터 처리 및 모의 시늉 데이터를 생산하는데 사용하고 있다. 그러나 페르미 연구소에서의 중심분석용팜(CAF)은 향후 그 자원이 충분치가 못하므로, 이에 참여하고 있는 여러 나라의 컴퓨팅 자원들을 공유할 수 있어야 한다. 따라서, 한국그룹은 경북대학교 고에너지물리연구소에 있는 PC 클러스터를 활용하여 탈중심분산팜 (DCAF, DeCenteralized Analysis Farm)을 국제공동연구로 설계하여 테스트베드를 구축하였다. 이 구성에는 CAF의 기술뿐만 아니라 페르미 연구소라는 원격에 있는 실험 데이터를 이용하여 job을 수행하므로 데이터 전송 기술인 SAM(Sequential data Access via Meta-data) 및 Kerberos의 보안 시스템, 그리드(Grid)를 포함하는 모든 IT 기술의 종합으로 이루어져있다.
