  • The main object of this paper is to present generalization of extended beta function, extended hypergeometric and confluent hypergeometric function introduced by Chaudhry et al. and obtained various integral representations, properties of beta function, Mellin transform, beta distribution, differentiation formulas transform formulas, recurrence relations, summation formula for these new generalization.

  • This paper deals with some useful methods of solving the one-dimensional integral equation of Fredholm type. Application of the reduction techniques with a view to inverting a class of integral equation with Lauricella function in the kernel, Riemann-Liouville fractional integral operators as well as Weyl operators have been made to reduce to this class to generalized Stieltjes transform and inversion of which yields solution of the integral equation. Use of Mellin transform technique has also been made to solve the Fredholm integral equation pertaining to certain polynomials and H-functions.

  • 본 논문은 수평 이동 정보와 회전 정보가 있는 비디오 영상을 Mellin Transform 을 이용하여 이미지를 모자이킹하는 방법을 제안한다. Mellin Transform 후 나타나는 이미지의 이동 정보와 회전정보를 이용하여 각 이미지들을 접합하기 위한 투영 행렬을 계산한다. 그리고 모자이크 생성시 나타날 수 있는 각 이미지간의 오차가 누적되는 현상을 줄이기 위한 전체적인 접합으로 투영 행렬을 추출하여 적용함으로써 누적되는 오차를 줄여 정확한 모자이크를 얻을 수 있다. 지금까지 제안된 모자이킹 기법들은 중복성 계산에 시간이 많이 소모되고 수평이동 시켜 얻어진 영상만을 다루어 이미지가 회전되었을 정확한 모자이크 결과를 얻을 수 없었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Mellin Transform에 기반한 투영 행렬을 이용하여 이미지가 이동하거나 회전하였을 경우에도 빠른 시간에 이미지의 중복 정보를 찾아 정확한 모자이크를 생성할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다.

  • In finance, barrier options are options contracts with a payoff that depends on whether the price of the underlying asset hits a predetermined barrier level during the option's lifetime. Based on exotic options and random fluctuations of interest rates in the marketplace, we consider discount barrier options with a stochastic interest rate driven by the Hull-White process. This paper derives the closed-form solutions of the discount barrier option and the discount double barrier option using Mellin transform methods and the PDE (partial differential equation) method of images.

  • This paper propose a target tracker using phase correlation. The tracker consist of a pre-processing module, a translation estimation module based on phase correlation, a fine motion estimation module applied when confidence rate could not fulfill a threshold value and a reference image update module. The fine motion estimation module measure the shift, rotation and scale of input image compared to reference using Fourier-Mellin transform. Proposed tracker was tested its accuracy and robustness using some real indoor and outdoor image sequences.

  • In this paper a fuzzy linear programming problem is presented. Then using the concept of comparison of fuzzy numbers, by the aid of the Mellin transform, we introduce a method for solving this problem.

  • In the present paper we derive the distribution of single order statistics, joint distribution of two order statistics and the distribution of product and quotient of two order statistics when the independent random variables are from continuous Kumaraswamy distribution. In particular the distribution of product and quotient of extreme order statistics and consecutive order statistics have also been obtained. The method used is based on Mellin transform and its inverse.

  • In this paper we give necessary and sufficient conditions that two Toeplitz operators with monomial symbols acting on the weighted Bergman space commute. We also present necessary and sufficient conditions for the hyponormality of Toeplitz operators with some special symbols on the weighted Bergman space. All the results are stated in terms of the Mellin transform of the symbol.

  • A time fractional advection-dispersion equation is Obtained from the standard advection-dispersion equation by replacing the firstorder derivative in time by a fractional derivative in time of order ${\alpha}$(0 < ${\alpha}$ $\leq$ 1). Using variable transformation, Mellin and Laplace transforms, and properties of H-functions, we derive the complete solution of this time fractional advection-dispersion equation.

  • The Whittaker function and its diverse extensions have been actively investigated. Here we aim to introduce an extension of the Whittaker function by using the known extended confluent hypergeometric function 𝚽p,v and investigate some of its formulas such as integral representations, a transformation formula, Mellin transform, and a differential formula. Some special cases of our results are also considered.
