The analogs of cyclic hydroxamic acids containing N-OH group have been proposed to play effective laccase-mediators in kraft pulp bleaching with laccase/mediator system. The existing mediators (NHA, 1-HBT, VA), the best laccase-mediators reported so far, and selected several analogs of cyclic hydroxamic acids were evaluated as a laccase-mediator for kraft pulp bleaching. It was found that NHA was the most effective mediator for the Trychophyton sp. LKY-7 laccase (TrL) in kraft pulp bleaching with TrL/mediator system, increasing about 10% ISO of brightness and decreasing about 2.8 of kappa number after alkaline-peroxide bleaching. Of the cyclic hydroxamic acidstested, the NHP.1(N-hydroxypyridone analog) was shown to enable TrL to effectively degrade lignin in kraft pulp bleaching, demonstrating approximately similar effect with that of NHA. However, the effect of substituent patterns of cyclic hydroxamic acid analogs in kraft pulp bleaching was not observed. The inhibitions of NHA and NHP.1 on TrL were not exhibited in TrL/mediator system. As a new mediator for TrL, NHP.1 was considered to be able to use in kraft pulp bleaching with TrL/mediator system.

Mediator 는 네트웍상에 분산되어 존재하는 이질적인 정보 원천(Information Source)들에 대한 통합 검색 서비스를 제공하는 시스템을 말한다. 본 논문은 이러한 mediator 시스템에서 이전 사용자들이 제기하였던 질의와 그 결과를 캐쉬에 저장하여 그것을 다음 사용자들이 제기하는 질의를 처리하는데 활용하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. Mediator 에서 유지/관리되는 결과 캐쉬의 구성 및 표현 방안을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 실험을 통하여 이러한 결과 캐쉬를 사용할 경우 mediator에서의 질의 검색 성능이 향상될 수 있음을 보여준다.

This article focuses on integrating institutional mediation systems, especially the analysis of the leading ADR operation. Mediation is a process in which an impartial third party, a mediator, facilitates the resolution of a dispute by promoting voluntary agreements by the parties to the dispute. A mediator facilitates communications, promotes understanding, focuses the parties on their interests, and seeks agreement. These standards give meaning to this definition of mediation. Standard mediation clauses are construed as broadly as possible, and mediation is compelled unless it may be said with positive assurance that the mediation process is not susceptible to an interpretation that covers the asserted dispute. Performing the conflicts check early in the process helps in eliminating any awkwardness or delays caused by making disclosures after mediation commences. Mediator impartiality is central to the mediation process. A mediator should mediate only those matters in which she or he can remain impartial and evenhanded. If at any time the mediator is unable to conduct the process in an impartial manner, the mediator is obligated to withdraw.

The Web Services descriptions such as DAML-S/OWL-S, BPEL4WS and WSMF focusing on the functional aspects of Web Services have limitations for the representation of the conceptual and semantic capabilities of Web Services, although WSMF is based on ontology and can represent the goal of Web Services. This paper proposes the new description formalism based on the competence ontology that can represent both functional and semantic aspects of Web Services. This paper also presents the integration and the composition of Web Services by means of Data Mediator(D-Mediator) and Control Mediator(C-Mediator) to mediate compositional in compatibility between heterogeneous Web Services.

Objectives: This study was aimed to identify the expressions used by consumers to talk and by mediator to provide information about hypertension in the internet and suggest more understandable vocabulary for consumers. Methods: A researcher collected archival postings associated 78 hypertension-related vocabularies from internet websites for extracting consumer and mediator vocabulary respectively. Then, the consumer and mediator vocabularies with the same meaning as 78 vocabularies were extracted from postings collected by two non-professional extractors and a researcher, respectively. Both consumer and mediator vocabularies manually mapped to the 78 hypertension-related representing vocabularies. Finally, the survey was conducted from 110 inpatients and 115 nurses from December 27 to 31, 2013 for the selection of recommended vocabulary related to hypertension. Data were analyzed using the SPSS program and included descriptive statistics. Based on the survey results, the recommended vocabularies were selected for laypersons. Results: 67 consumer and 73 mediator vocabularies were linked with the 78 vocabularies. Two vocabularies unmapped to both consumer and mediator vocabularies were 'wheeze' and 'angioplasty'. 49 recommended vocabularies related to hypertension were selected for helping laypersons understand hypertension information. Conclusions: The consumer-oriented vocabularies may be helpful to overcome the vocabulary problem between non-professionals and professionals.

This paper proposed mediator agent system that guarantees reciprocity to attendances in bilateral negotiations for electronic commerce that is different from regular commercial transactions. The optimal agreement was supposed to provide the total maximum profits and the minimum difference in profits of both attendances in negotiations. In the mediator agent system, mediator agent conducted the negotiations considering multi attributes of product and Multi Attribute Utility Theory(MAUT) was applied to evaluate the profits of buyer and seller. 1'he negotiation model in mediator agent system was transformed into linear programming according to the information of bargain for attendances in negotiations. In order to compare with mediator agent system under the same conditions of reciprocity, another negotiation agent system was implemented using trade-off mechanism that is an algorithm for agent interactions in negotiation. The negotiation agent system using trade-off mechanism did not guarantee the optimal agreement, whereas mediator agent system provided attendances in negotiations with optimal agreement rapidly in comparison with trade-off mechanism.

Mediation is type of intervention in which the disputing parties accept the offer of the judge or a third party to recommend a solution for their controversy. Mediation differs from arbitration in being a voluntary resolution rather than a judicial procedure. Thus, the parties to the dispute are not bound to accept the mediator's recommendation. Resort to mediation has become increasingly frequent for civil disputes. Mediation has been successful in many cases of civil conflict. Mediation has become increasingly important for monetary disputes as well, particularly in damage cases. While most people consider mediation a far superior experience to court, everything I tell you a mediator should not do is something that at least one mediator I have dealt with has done to a client. In theory, a mediator should never share anything you tell him or her without your permission. In theory a mediator should not "spring" evaluations on anyone in a mediation without your permission (e.g. a mediator should never say "your case is worth \OOOO and I just told the other side that). In theory a mediator should not browbeat or threaten you. At the end, usually about 55% of the time with a good mediator in Kwangju Appellate Court in 2003, the parties reach an agreement that is in their best interests. If they decide to sign off on a signed agreement, the signed agreement is binding. I obviously feel mediation is a very good thing and the numbers and surveys bear me out. This article is written about how mediation is proceeded, what is the realities, what is the problem and what is the activating way. For this study, I research with legal sociological approach using Korean Judicial Year Boot judicial document and my experience as meditator in Kwangju District Court.

The bioelectrochemical reduction of nitrate in the presence of various mediators including methyl viologen and azure A was studied using a 3-electrode voltammetric system. The catalytic potential for the reduction of the mediators was observed in the reactor, which for methyl viologen and azure A were -0.74 V and -0.32 V, respectively, with respect to the potential of Ag/AgCl reference electrode. This potential was then applied to a working electrode to reduce each mediator for enzymatic nitrate reduction. Nitrite, the product of the reaction, was measured to observe the enzymatic nitrate reduction in the reaction media. Methyl viologen was observed as the most efficient mediator among those tested, while azure A showed the highest electron efficiency at the intrinsic reduction potential when the mediated enzyme reactions were carried out with the freely solubilized mediator. The electron transfer of azure A with respect to time was due to the adhesion of azure A to the hydrophilic surface during the reduction. In addition, the use of the adsorbed mediator on conductive activated carbon was proposed to inhibit the change in the electron transfer rate during the reaction by maintaining a constant mediator concentration and active surface area of the electrode. Azure A showed better than nitrite formation than methyl viologen when used with activated carbon.

For the development of integrated pest management system by harmonizing biological and chemical control, some experiments were carried out to select low toxic pesticides against natural enemies. Leaf dipping method, body dipping method, and diet treatment method were used for the toxicity evaluation against Microplites mediator adults. We tested 49 different pesticides (34 insecticides, 11 fungicides, 4 herbicides) at recommending concentration commonly used to control insect pests, disease and up-land weeds in chinese cabbage field. 16 insecticides, 11 fungicides, and 4 herbicides were shown to be low toxic to Microplites mediator adults in the treatment of body dipping.

The legal integration in the European Union that seeks a unified system in consumer disputes and the German Consumer Dispute Mediation Act based on this pursues the procedural fairness of consumer disputes and the equality of results. The role and legal status of the dispute mediator, who plays a very important role in this process, and the stable operation of the dispute resolution system and the guarantee of reasonable results through the guarantee of fairness and independence are very important values. In particular, the dispute mediator under the Act is conceptually different from the existing mediator or mediator, and through this distinction, the duties and contents of the dispute mediator are also distinguished. For this reason, the qualifications of dispute mediators that affect the outcome of dispute mediation are strictly stipulated. There have been some criticisms of this strictness, and such strictness is also seen as an excessive limitation. However, these standards can be understood as one of the efforts to make the dispute mediation procedure more systematic and to operate objectively in accordance with laws and procedures. In addition, in relation to the issue of independence and impartiality of the dispute mediator, the status of the dispute mediator is guaranteed in various aspects. In economic terms, it is not influenced by external factors, and furthermore, in order to guarantee job stability, the results of job security and dispute resolution are not linked. By examining the appropriate level of discipline for these dispute mediators, we expect the developmental growth of the consumer dispute resolution system under our Act.
