Numerical Study on the Thermal and Flow Characteristics of Manifold Feed-Stream in Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells (고분자 전해질 연료전지 매니폴드의 열유동 특성에 관한 수치적 연구)

  • The effects of internal manifold designs on the reactants feed-stream in Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells [PEFCs] is studied to figure out flow and thermal distribution patterns over an entire fuel cell stack. Reactants flows are modeled either laminar of turbulent depending on regions and the open channels in the bipolar plates are simulated by porous media where permeability should be pre-deter-mined for computational analysis. In this work, numerical models for reactants feed-stream In the PEFC manifolds are classified Into two major flow patterns: Z-shape and U-shape. Several types of manifold geometries are analyzed to find the optimal manifold configurations. The effect of heat generation in PEFC on the flow distribution is also Investigated applying a simplified heat transfer model in the stack level (i.e. multi-cell electrochemical power-generation unit). This modeling technique Is well suited for many large scale problems and this scheme can be used not only to account for the manifold flow pattern but also to obtain Information on the optimal design and operation of PEFC systems.

  • Most modern computer communications and storage media support encryption technology. Many of the Ping Pong algorithms are stream ciphers that generate random numbers in the LFSR core structure. The LFSR has a structure that guarantees the maximum period of a given size, but it has a linear structure and can be predicted. Therefore, the Ping Pong algorithm has a feature of making the linearity of the LFSR into a nonlinear structure through variable clocks and functions. In this paper, we try to improve the existing linearity by replacing the linear disadvantages of LFSR with logistic maps.

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 TV 방송 스트림을 분석, 검증하기 위한 시스템을 PC 상에서 소프트웨어 기반으로 구현하였다. 저장되어 있는 MPEG-2 트란스포트 스트림(transport stream, TS) 파일을 입력으로 받으며 별도의 하드웨어 장치를 사용하지 않는다. 이 분석기는 PSI(program specific information), TS 섹션, TS 헤더 등 기본 내용뿐만 아니라, TS 패킷들을 오디오, 비디오, PCR(program clock reference), 부가 데이터, 널(null) 패킷 등으로 구분하여 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스 통하여 보여 준다. 또한, 현재 표시되고 있는 TS 패킷과 가장 가까운 I 프레임를 디스플레이 해줌으로써 비트스트림 상의 오류 부분과 실제 영상과 쉽게 매칭시킬 수 있도록 해 준다. 본 논문의 분석기는 MPEG-2 비트스트림 적합성 검사 기능도 제공하며, 데이터 방송을 위한 여러 가지 부가 데이터를 MPEG-2 기본 스트림에 삽입하는 기능도 갖고 있다. 본 논문의 분석기를 이용함으로써 저비용으로 방송 스트림을 분석, 검증할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 실험실 연구를 위한 데이터 방송용 비트스트림을 저비용으로 제작할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는, 고품질 AT-DMB 시스템을 위해서 각 계층 ES(Elementary Stream)을 MPEG-4 over PEG-2 시스템과 Eureka-147 DAB 시스템을 통해 서로 다른 채널로 전송한다. 계층별 전송으로 인한 시간 지연에 대처하여 수신 입력부에서는 각각의 계층으로 전송된 ES들이 동기화 되어 복호화 되도록 SVC의 계층적 비트스트림 구조와 적응적으로 동작되는 다중화 시스템 구조를 제작하였다.

Prediction of Effluent Concentration for Contaminated Stream Purification using UFBR (상향류식 고정생물막조를 이용한 오염소하천 정화에 있어서 유출수 농도 예측)

  • The objective of this study is to treat contaminated stream by using a UFBR(upflow fixed biofilm reactor) packed with waste-concrete media. This system was tested from June 1999 to January 2000. Over $20.0^{\circ}C$, $COD_{cr}$ removal efficiency did not affected with organic loading rate while, $COD_{cr}$ removal efficiency decreased about 7% with decrease of temperature from $27.0^{\circ}C$ to $8.7^{\circ}C$. Under $16^{\circ}C$, TKN removal efficiency was affected with TKN loading rate. The proposed model apply to mass balance equation of fixed biofilm reactor for predicting effluent was well satisfied with measured value($R^2=0.94$).

  • 본 고의 Multi-Media Caching System 은 이동 단말기의 보급 & 발달로 예상되는 Trans-coder 부하의 증가와 응답 시간 개선 하기 위한 것으로 기존의 Web 문서의 Caching System 과 비교 분석 하고, 빈번한 이동 단말기의 요구에 의해서 발생하는 않은 trans-coder 작업을 최소화 할 수 있는 XML 기반의 Caching System을 연구 하고자 한다. 즉, 기존의 Web Caching System의 장점과 XML의 재 사용 성, 확장 성, 플랫폼 독립성, 다양한 종류의 응용 프로그램과의 접목성 등의 장점을 살리고, Cache System Manager에 의해 최소환의 Trans-coder 동작이 일어나도록 한다. 따라서 Trans-coder 된 작업을 Caching System 에 보관 관리 하는 최적의 Caching System Manager 방법을 제안하고자 한다.

  • According to market needs of better quality of service (QoS) for realtime multimedia services over Internet, they haute been standardizing RSVP, Intserv, and DiffiServ. This paper combines the benefits of RSVP/IntServ with scalable video encoding. We Propose that more important bit stream is given more priority such that limited network resources are reserved for the stream Various prioritizing approaches are proposed and compared to normal approach by using Network Simulator. The calculated QoS parameters such as Packet loss rate are used to calculate degree of degradation in video quality.

  • Due to the limited resources in thin-client and the large amount of computation for decoding MPEG media, it is not easy to support the QoS stream media to clients. To solve the problems, the terminal servers would be charged for decoding the MPEG media and thin-clients have a role to update only the changed areas in their screen. However, these previous approaches cause severely low video quality. In addition, since servers perform all procedures to decode MPEG media, they are easily saturated even under a small number of clients. In this paper, the sources of the low video duality are investigated in the previous thin-clients' solutions working in wireless and wired environments. From the detailed experiments, an intelligent media player is proposed to achieve the QoS streams by supporting both the enhanced video duality and the audio synchronized with video frames.

  • This paper presents a signal processing IC for digital HDTV, which is designed to operate in bunt-in HDW or in HD-set-top Box. The chip supports de-multiplexing an ISO/IEC 13818-1 MPEG-2 TS stream. It decodes MPEG-2 MP@HL video bitstream, and provides high-quality scaled video for display on HDTV monitor. The chip consists of ARM7TDMI for TS-Demux, PCI interface, Audio interface, MPEG2 MP@HL video decoder Display processor, Graphic processor, Memory controller, Audio int3face, Smart Card interface and UART. It is fabricated using Sam sung's 0.18-um and the package of 492-pin BGA is used.

  • Real-time application programs have synchronization constraints which need to be met between media-data. Synchronization method represents feedback method including virtual client-side buffer. This buffer is used in buffer level method. It is client-leading synchronization that is absorbing variable transmission delay time and that is synchronizing by feedback control. It is the important factor for playback rate and QoS if the buffer level is normal or not. To solve the problems, we can control the start of transmission in multimedia server by appling filtering, control and network evaluation function. Synchronization method is processing for smooth presentation without cut-off while media is playing out. When audio frame which is master media is in high threshold buffer level we decrease play out time gradually, otherwise we increase it slowly.
