Computer graphics applications such as virtual reality, games, animation begin from 3D modeling. The technology of 3D modeling and deformation has become an active research field in the past few decades from the combination of basic 3D primitives to the realistic modeling and deformation algorithm. In this paper, we introduce recent trends in 3D human modeling and deformation technology.

Nodal explants of Ocimum basilicum L. (Sweet basil, Lamiaceae), showed shoot proliferation after 7-10 days on MS media containing 1.5 mg/L kinetin. In vitro flowering was achieved from 90% of the shootlets which were sub cultured on a half strength MS media fortified with 5 mg/L BAP and 1 mg/L IAA. Cytokinin alone or in combination with $CA_3$and NAA resulted in shoot proliferation only. For rooting the plantlets were subcultured on MS basal medium supplemented with 3 mg/L NAA and rootlets emerged after 10 days of incubation. The survival percentage of transplanted plantlets was 70%.

In this paper, we analyze social network status and suggest TV SNS Service. According to alexa.com's recent chart, there are three SNS sites (facebook, myspace, twitter) in global top 20 sites. SNS usage has increased dramatically. Recently many SNS are growing up by opening their platform that make it easy to develope new services and functions by third party developers. KT is implementing open platform that is support Widget and SNS service. And Recently Social TV comes into the spotlight. Social TV is combination of social media and TV contents. It is enable to exchange emotion and opinion by communication with other people when watching Video contents. We propose TV SNS Service that provides various services by using advantage of SNS system and Social TV.

We present modality conversion as an effective means for QoS management. We show that modality conversion, in combination with content scaling, would give a wider range of adaptation to support QoS at media level. Here, we consider modality conversion with respect to resource constraint and human factor. To represent modality conversion as well as content scaling, we present the overlapped content value (OCV) model that relates the content value of different modalities with resources. The specification of user preference on modality conversion is divided into qualitative and quantitative levels. The user preference is then integrated into the OCV model so that modality conversion correctly reflects the user's wishes. For the conversion of multiple contents, an optimization problem is formulated and solved by dynamic programming. The experiments show that the proposed approach is efficient to be applied in practice.

A robust and efficient text extraction is very important for an accuracy of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) systems. Natural scene images with degradations such as uneven illumination, perspective distortion, complex background and multi color text give many challenges to computer vision task, especially in text extraction. In this paper, we propose a method for extraction of the text in signboard images based on a combination of mean shift algorithm and weighting scheme of hue and saturation in HSI color space for clustering algorithm. The number of clusters is determined automatically by mean shift-based density estimation, in which local clusters are estimated by repeatedly searching for higher density points in feature vector space. Weighting scheme of hue and saturation is used for formulation a new distance measure in cylindrical coordinate for text extraction. The obtained experimental results through various natural scene images are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.

An efficient shoot regeneration condition for pea cv. 'Sparkle' was developed by using optimum explant, plant growth regulator concentrations, and pretreatment of BA onto explant. The average shoot number per explant showed the highest on two kinds of shoot induction media (MSB5 media containing 2 mg/L BA and a combination of 2 mg/L BA and 1 mg/L TDZ) when cotyledonary node explants were cultured. Moreover, the pretreatment of explant in 200 mg/L BA solution was found to be more effective in shoot induction than that of non-pretreatment. By histological study, cell division and proto-meristem were formed near the surface of the sub-epidermal and epidermal cell layers of cotyledonary node in earlier than 3 days after culture. The analysis of genetic stability of regenerants by using thirteen ISSR markers showed that in vitro regenerated plants showed polymorphism with 8.3% compared with their mother plants.

Alternate reality games (ARGs) are a game genre with characteristics that can lead to changes in current integrated media environments. While technical combinations are being pursued as diverse media are utilized based on formative aspects, the representative, narrative combination of the real and the virtual is a convergent factor in narrative structures. Through perspectives that perceive transmedia storytelling-which has brought convergence to communication among gamers-as having a structure and utility that can outclass previous game forms, this study focuses on ARGs, which have features that converge reality and virtual reality. Further, the study reveals the structure and utility of that system. This study sheds light convergent storytelling, which is in demand in the transmedia age, and which will serve as a significant investigation with regard to social perceptions of future games and changes in game form.

Explants from stem, leaf and root tissue of Cissus juttae were plased on Ms medium supplemented ifferent combination of 2.4-D, NAA, Kinetin and BA in a actorial experiment. some callus formed in every treatment, but the best callus growth was on media containing $1.0{\;}mg/{\ell}$ NAA and $1.0{\;}mg/{\ell}$ BA. Formation of advantitious emboyos was evident in callus to MS medium supplemented with $0.1{\;}mg/{\ell}$.

The present study is purposed to establish a systematic theory for user-friendly approach to the creation of using a programming language using Csound. Csound is a world-wide computer music programming language and a software synthesizer specialized for prominent sound designers developed by Barry Vercoe at the Media Laboratory in M.I.T. The introduction and the main body of this paper suggested as the starting point of creating electronic music and musical sound the time of combination of music with natural sound or sound from specific media from the viewpoint of traditional Western music. and presents a systematic method composed of the principle of the operation of Csound and basic data samples.

The purpose of this study is to design an authoring tool and a corresponding device for an olfactory display that can augment the immersion and reality in broadcasting services. The developed authoring tool allows an olfactory display to be properly synchronized with the existing video service by applying the standardized format using ISO/IEC 23005 (MPEG-V) and the corresponding developed scent display device. To propose the proper data format for the olfactory display, we have analyzed both the multimodal combination and the cross-modality related to the olfactory display. From the results of the analysis, we derived a set of olfactory parameters for the olfactory display that are related to emotion. The analyzed parameters related to emotion in an olfactory display are synchronization, scent intensity, scent persistence, and hedonic tone. These parameters should be controlled so that the olfactory display can be in harmony with the existing media to augment emotion. In addition, we developed a scent display device that can generate many kinds of scents and that satisfies design conditions for olfactory parameters that are for use with broadcasting services.
