The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the relationships between the Boundary Spanning Activities (BSA) of project team and system performance in ERP system development projects. We could theoretically classify the BSA in the ERP development projects into five categories on the basis of existing studies on the BSA in the research fields of organization theory, new product development, and information systems development. These five categories are 'Ambassador' activities, 'Task-coordinator' activities, 'Scout' activities, 'Sentry' activities and 'Guard' activities. And the relationship between the implementation level of activities included in each category and the project performance (system usage and users' satisfaction) was hypothesized with respect to five BSA categories. In order to test the hypotheses, we conducted on/offline survey of the participants who were involved in the ERP system development projects, and received 345 valid responses. The unit of analysis was the project team, and the total number of teams that survey participants belonged to were 103 ones. The Structural Equation Model Analysis using the SMART PLS 3.0 was applied to statistically testing the hypotheses. The results showed that 10 hypotheses among 12 hypotheses could be supported. The theoretical implications of this study can be summarized as following; first, redefining and categorizing the BSA (Boundary Spanning Activities) in the ERP system development projects, secondly, deriving measurement indicators of the implementation level for each BSA category and statistically proving the validity and the reliability of them, and finally, suggesting the theoretical background of expanding the management area of ERP systems development projects. Furthermore, the practical implication of this study is that concrete BSA items which are empirically derived can be utilized as effective guidelines for successfully implementing the BSA in the process of managing the ERP system development projects.

The purpose of this study was to identify patterns of and trends in studies of job satisfaction among Korean nurses as selected from master theses whose research had covered studies from the period $1972{\sim}1997$. These studies were analyzed for publication date, research design, theoretical framework, research questions, and research hypotheses, subjects, sampling methods, measurement tools, statistical analyses, job satisfaction-related variables, and suggestions for further research. The findings of the analysis were as follows: 1) The number of studies on the subjects of job satisfaction has increased enormously since the 1980s. 2) In research design, 73.8% of the studies involved correlation research. 3) Conceptual frameworks, research questions, and hypotheses were not involved in 88.8%, 76.3%, and 68.% of the studies respectively. 4) With respect to subjects, 53.7% involved head nurses, charge nurses, and staff nurses. 5) As sampling methodology, questionnaires were employed in all the studies. 6) Measurement instruments developed by Slavitts et al.(1978) and Stamps et al.(1978) were used in 27 studies and 24 studies, respectively. 7) For the statistical analysis, ANOVA(30.7%), t-test(23.7%), and correlation(23.7%) were used. 8) The number of job satisfaction-related variables were eight items and 36 sub-concepts. 37.5%(30 studies) employed applied variables related to organizational characteristics. 9) 93.7% of the studies made suggestions for further research. On the basis of the above findings, the following recommendations were made: 1) Qualitative research should be performed to identify variables related to job satisfaction. 2) Research on developing interventions is needed to elevate job satisfaction. 3) Development of measurement tools is needed to evaluate the job satisfaction of Korean nurses. 4) Correlation studies are needed to identify the relationship between job satisfaction of nurses and outcomes to patients.
This research has seven factors such as top management leadership, belt system operation, implementation of systematic methods, adequate project performance measurement, customer focus performance, quality performance and business performance. Those are critical to correct implementation of Six Sigma. I set seven hypotheses which represented the relationships among the seven factors, gathered questionnaires and analyzed the data. Top management leadership affected positively the adequate project performance measurement and the belt system operation, The belt system operation affected the implementation of systematic methods positively and it also affected the adequate project performance measurement. It affected positively the customer focus performance, the quality performance and the business performance, respectively.
The present study purposed to examine whether BSC, a management renovation method, is as effective in university hospitals, which are non-profit institutions, as it is in profit-making corporations. In order to determine causal relations among the BSC performance measurement indexes, we analyzed a case of university hospital using a structural equation model. The results of analyzing the causal relations among the BSC performance measurement indexes were all statistically significant, and therefore the research hypotheses were all accepted. Future research needs to study causal relations among the BSC performance measurement indexes from the viewpoint of the learning of financial data, growth, internal processes, and customers.

To verify confidence of the measurement such as Firm performance of Entertainment system, Cronbach's alpha coefficient were measured and showed 0.7 or higher alpha values. Feasibility of the measurement is also ensured by exploratory factor analysis. This thesis are formulated and analyzed as two little hypotheses to make certain that systematization of entertainment company influences on the performance. As a result, the two hypotheses are significant influential factors on the performance of entertainment company. The result are somewhat predicted because it was constructed by theories and preceding research which the researcher had already recognized. But this study was conducted to provide suggestions to establish a theory of entertainment industry by active follow-up studies for resolving will-less different results in this field due to a lack of the proceding research. And it is required to be established through the academic interchange among the similar studies.
This study was carried out to describe and analyze experimental studies conducted in graduates nursing degree. Of 170 experimental studies conducted during the past three decades between 1962 and August 1991, 150 studies were available, including 124 master’s and 26 doctoral theses. This study examined their general characteristics and detailed research methods using percentiles. The results were as follows 1. Most of the studies adopted a quasi-experimental design. 2. The subjects of the studies were chosen by convenience sampling except for two studies whose subjects were drawn by randomization. Studies comparing experimental and control groups were in the highest proportion and the most frequent sample sizes of each group were 21 to 30 for both experimental and control groups. 3. As to measurement, physiological measures were most frequent followed by psychsociological measures and active report questionnaires. Each study, on average, adopted two kind of measurement tools. Studies in which the data collection period was of 1~2 months were in the highest pro-portion. 4. All doctoral theses and 67.0% of master’s theses examined specific research hypotheses. Of these studies, the results of 92.5% supported the hypotheses. 5. Parametric statistics were the major analytical methods. In particular, t-test was used most frequently followed by Chi square, F-test, and Pearson Correlation Coefficients. 6. Patients were the most frequent study subjects. Frequent nursing interventions were information and education followed by support, distraction, and nursing treatments. 7. With regards to the dependent variables, “feelings” such as anxiety, pain, and depression were most frequent. In addition “exchanging” such as restoring, metabolism, cardiopulmonary function, infection and vital signs were adopted as the dependent variables in 29.1% of the studies examined, while 12.3% of the studies selected “choosing” such as stress, health behavior, or role performance.
The purpose if this study was to find and investigate effective mediation factors influencing performance of servitization through servitization acceptance activities by means of empirical results. According to the previous researches, two main mediation factors which were related with servitization competencies such as ICT competency of servitization and competency of servitization process were distinguished from lots of competencies which are relying on servitization process. Using a 373 sample data investigated from CEOs, directors and managers of small and medium sized firms in Korea, the structured mediation model was proposed. The measurement for the each variable was accepted for this study when the respondents were revealed to understand the servitization concepts which explained especially company's business moving towards the service specific gravity from selling existing products. The measurement for the each variable reflected that respondents were participating in any sort of servitization type or had intension to be involved with any servitization categories. The mediation hypotheses were tested in the way of analytical measures with the result of strong reliability. According to analysis, two mediators showed positive mediation role and statistically adopted between servitization acceptance activities and servitization performance in the 99% significant level. We confirmed that ICT competency of servitization and competency of servitization process were in the role of positive mediation between servitization acceptance activities and performance of servitization. The total of indirect effects were 0.2546 to support each mediation hypotheses. Tested two mediators were not on the same level. The most affecting mediation element on servitization performance was appeared as competency of servitization process. With the result of this study, we expect that the small and medium sized companies might have servitization business strategies including proper service competencies and mediators through acceptance activities to obtain suitable performance. According to the analysis, Companies which consider product-servitization need to set strategies to reinforce above two competencies.

In this paper, we developed a method for predicting the tracking performance of the multiple hypothesis tracking (MHT) algorithm. The MHT algerithm is known to be a measurement-oriented optimal Bayesian approach and is superior to any other tracking filters because it takes into account the events that the measurements can be originated from new targets and false alarms as well as interesting targets. In the MHT algorithm, a number of candidate hypotheses are generated and evaluated later as more data are received. The probability of each candidate hypotheses is approximately evaluated by using the hybrid conditional average approach (HYCA). We performed numerical experiments to show the validity of our performance prediction.
Purpose -This paper aims to understand how easy and convenient it is for consumers to use mobile services. A mobile service combines hardware and software with information technology. To specifically meet the needs of users of mobile applications, the context of usability was identified in consumer mobile services. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - For usability measurement and evaluation, appliances and software were the main target: this applied to an expanding range, such as a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), mobile phones, and wired and wireless integrated services. This study extended the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by examining the roles of two characteristics of mobile applications'usage: usability and usefulness. Results - The study tested the research model using a structural equation modeling (SEM) technique. Results showed no significant differences between the two models. Usability comprised learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction: the motivation for using a mobile application was understood as being the usefulness and easy-of-use of the mobile application. This empirical study validated the proposed research model and hypotheses, and found that the hypotheses could be supported. Finally, the phenomena derived from the causal relationships in usability were identified, and their implications considered.

Multiple evidences based decision making is an important functionality for computers and robots. To combine multiple evidences, mathematical theory of evidence has been developed, and it involves the most vital part called Dempster's rule of combination. The rule is used for combining multiple evidences. However, the combined result gives a counterintuitive conclusion when highly conflicting evidences exist. In particular, when we obtain two different sources of evidence for a single hypothesis, only one of the sources may contain evidence. In this paper, we introduce a modified combination rule based on the partial conflict measurement by using an absolute difference between two evidences' basic probability numbers. The basic probability number is described in details in Section 2 "Mathematical Theory of Evidence". As a result, the proposed combination rule outperforms Dempster's rule of combination. More precisely, the modified combination rule provides a reasonable conclusion when combining highly conflicting evidences and shows similar results with Dempster's rule of combination in the case of the both sources of evidence are not conflicting. In addition, when obtained evidences contain multiple hypotheses, our proposed combination rule shows more logically acceptable results in compared with the results of Dempster's rule.
