Speech Enhancement the Neural Network Filer (신경망필처를 이용한 음질향상)

  • 본 논문에서는 잡음환경에서의 음질향상(Speed Ehnacement) 시스템 구현을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위한 적응필터로서 LSM(Least Mean square)알고리즘 FIR필터를 적용한다. 또 정밀 필터로서 다충신경망(MLP, Multi-Layer Perceptorn) 필터를 적용한다. 잡음환경에서의 음성신호 복원 및 음질향상 시스템은 잡음에 의해 왜곡된 음성신호에서 잡음성분만을 제거함으로써 음성신호를 복원하는 시스템이다. 신경망 필터는 오차 역전과 학습 알고리즘에 의해 오차를 최소화 하는 방향으로 필터의 피라미터를 수정한다. 제안한 필터로 잡음환경에서의 음성신호복원 시스템을 구서오하고, 실험을 필터의 성능을 확인한다.

  • Performance and realization of finite impulse response (FIR) digital filters that use an adaptive delta modulator (ADM) as an analog/digital converter have been studied. This filter requires no multiplication and offers many advantages over conventional PCM filters in low power consumption, small size, and cost effectiveness. Analytical formulas have been derived for the expected mean-squared errors and also for the word length necessary to achieve the desired performance. Computer simultation has been done to optimize the parameter values and to verify the results of performance analysis. In addition, design of FIR ADM digital filters for processing single and multi-channel signals has been considered.

Small Target Detection Method Using Bilateral Filter Based on Surrounding Statistical Feature (주위 통계 특성에 기초한 양방향 필터를 이용한 소형 표적 검출 기법)

  • Bilateral filter (BF), functioning by two Gaussian filters, domain and range filter is a nonlinear filter for sharpness enhancement and noise removal. In infrared (IR) small target detection field, the BF is designed by background predictor for predicting background not including small target. For this, the standard deviations of the two Gaussian filters need to be changed adaptively in background and target region of an infrared image. In this paper, the proposed bilateral filter make the standard deviations changed adaptively, using variance feature of mean values of surrounding block neighboring local filter window. And, in case the variance of mean values for surrounding blocks is low for any processed pixel, the pixel is classified to flat background and target region for enhancing background prediction. On the other hand, any pixel with high variance for surrounding blocks is classified to edge region. Small target can be detected by subtracting predicted background from original image. In experimental results, we confirmed that the proposed bilateral filter has superior target detection rate, compared with existing methods.

  • According to the development of software and hardware about multimedia technologies, images are used to store information extracted from data. Noises by various causes, however, are added in the process of forming images, recording and transmitting in ubiquitous environments. In image restoration viewpoints to remove them. appropriate filtering methodologies, wiener of mean etc, are utilized. Various ways for image restoration are studied as well. Therefore, in this paper, we Propose user defined image restoration that applies the most appropriate parameters for image restoration and show the implementation result of the system using various parameters including mean filter and wiener filter to advance quality of degraded source image affected by noise in ubiquitous environment and medical fields.

  • As a society has Progressed rapidly toward a highly advanced digital information age, a multimedia communication service for acquisition, transmission and storage of image data as well as voice has being commercialized externally and internally. However, in the process of digitalization or transmission of data, noise is generated by several causes, and researches for eliminating those noises have been continued until now. The mean filter is useful method to remove AWGN (additive white gaussian noise) from degraded image and has excellent low-frequency properties. However, it brings about degradation of high-frequency properties in image. So in this paper we removed noise with mean filters added directional information and minimized degradation of high-frequency properties.

  • In this paper the process of transmitting images signal restore to image corrupted by impulse noise proposed switching mean filter. these filter is differential size using the two state noise detection distinguishes noise pixel and noise free pixel. Follow the detected impulse noise density in the image remove the impulse noise using switching mean filter these substituted pixel in order to non-recursive and recursive form from control process of the next pixel comes to be used with neighbor pixel process. Through the simulation, we compared with the existing methods and capabilties.

  • This paper proposes a multiple filter for reduction of received signal fluctuation and enhancement of step altitude edge detection in FMCW radar altimeter. The proposed filter was composed of alpha-trimmed mean filter, frequency variation limiter, and 1/3 order static filter. Simulations by analysis of received signal show that the proposed filter provides better performance than moving average and standard median filters with error reduction. In particular, the proposed filter was improved in the ability of reducing fluctuation for ground hovering.

  • The restoration of an image corrupted by Gaussian noise is an important task in image processing. There are many kinds of filters are proposed to remove Gaussian noise such as Gaussian filter, mean filter, weighted filter, etc. However, they perform not good enough for denoising and edge preservation. Hence, in this paper we proposed an adaptive weighted filter which considers spatial distance and the estimated variance of noise. We also compared the proposed method with existing methods through the simulation and used MSE(mean squared error) as the standard of judgement of improvement effect.

  • Image restoration refers to removing different kinds of noise added to image, and to reducing effect of noise upon image. For image restoration, some methods such as mean filter, median filter and weighted filter were proposed, but the existing methods have poor denoising and edge-reserved performance. Therefore, in this paper modified median filter algorithm was proposed that enlarges mask size according to median value of mask in order to remove noise efficiently. And, it was compared by simulation to the existing methods, and MSE(mean squared error) was used on a criterion of evaluation.

  • Airborne laser scanning system needs preprocessing which removes some objects such as buildings from the raw DSM data to construct DEM in building area because the laser pulse can't penetrate into the buildings. This study applied the mean filtering method which has various size filter to the DSM data constructed by airborne laser scanning system and decided the optimal filter size as $39{\times}39$ by analyzing the standard deviation change ratio. Also, this study could get the ${\pm}0.065m$ standard error by comparing the optimal filtering DEM and DSM raw data of airborne laser scanning. Therefore, it could know that the mean filtering method, which is presented in this study, is very effective to extract DEM in the urban area which has a low relief.
