THE DRAZIN INVERSE OF THE SUM OF TWO PRODUCTS

  • In this paper, for bounded linear operators A, B, C satisfying [AB, B] = [BC, B] = [AB, BC] = 0 we study the Drazin invertibility of the sum of products formed by the three operators A, B and C. In particular, we give an explicit representation of the anti-commutator {A, B} = AB + BA. Also we give some conditions for which the sum A + C is Drazin invertible.

  • An efficient algorithm for the multiplication in a binary finite filed using a normal basis representation of $F_{2^m}$ is discussed and proposed for software implementation of elliptic curve cryptography. The algorithm is developed by using the storage scheme of sparse matrices.

  • In surface compression applications, one of the main issues is how to efficiently store and calculate the computer representation of certain surfaces. This leads us to consider a nonlinear approximation by box splines with free knots since, for instance, the nonlinear method based on wavelet decomposition gives efficient compression and recovery algorithms for such surfaces (cf. [12]).
