  • 본 연구는 국제적 환경인식의 변화로 이제는 사후처리단계로서 환경문제를 다루는 것이 아니라 사전에 오염을 방지하고 오염의 배출을 최대한 억제하고 자원과 에너지를 최대한 효율적으로 이용하며 오염물질을 완전히 배출하지 않도록 하는 환경관리 수단이 요구됨에 따라 사용범위를 예측하기 힘들 정도로 확대되어 가는 LCA의 필요성과 국제적 논의동향을 살펴보고 대응방안을 제시하였다. 그리고 전자혁명 시대인 현대사회의 핵심인 반도체의 국가경쟁력을 높이고 환경을 새로운 수익창출의 기회로 삼는 계기를 마련하기위해 우리나라의 현실에 적응하기 쉬운 Screening LCA를 통해 반도체의 LCA를 수행함으로써 자원소비 측면에서는 Clip kg당 요구되는 투입물과 에너지의 요구량을 정량화하였고 환경영향 측면에서는 배출물의 영향을 정량화 함으로써 반도체 제품을 생산하는데 어느정도의 비용과 에너지와 물질이 투입되며 그것이 환경에 미치는 영향을 표시할 수 있으며 그로인해 문제공정을 도출하여 공정개선의 기회를 마련할 수 있다.

중금속 오염 준설토의 토양으로서의 유효활용을 위한 선별수준 생태위해도평가 (Screening-Level Ecological Risk Assessment for Beneficial Reuse as Soil of Dredged Sediment Contaminated with Heavy Metals)

  • 본 연구에서는 중금속의 생태독성자료를 통해 준설토의 육상 재활용을 위한 screening-level 생태위해도 평가를 수행하였다. 대상 중금속 6종(Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb, Cr, Ni)의 독성자료는 USEPA의 ECOTOX를 통해 수집하였으며, 선별과정을 거쳐 생태위해도 평가에 사용하였다. 각 중금속의 예측무영향농도는 독성자료의 획득이 가능한 육상 수용체의 종 수에 따라 확률론적 방법(Cu, Zn, Cd)과 결정론적 방법(Pb, Cr, Ni)을 통해 도출하였다. 현장 채취 준설토에서 발견되는 중금속 실제오염농도와 예측무영향농도와의 비교를 통해 생태위해도를 계산하였으며 Cu, Zn, Cr, Pb, Ni의 위해도가 1을 초과하여 생태독성학적 위해도가 존재할 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다. 따라서 재활용 부지의 생태위해도를 고려하였을 때 해당 중금속 오염 준설토를 활용하기 위해서는 중금속 정화 또는 보다 높은 수준의 생태 위해도평가가 선행되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

백화옥수수 잎절편을 이용한 안토시아닌 생합성 조절제 탐색용 신규 검정법 확립 (A Novel Bioassay System for Screening of Compounds Affecting Anthocyanin Biosynthesis Pathway in White Corn Leaf Segment)

  • This study was carried out to establish a novel bioassay system for screening of compounds affecting aromatic amino acid or anthocyanin biosynthesis through investigating a degree of sucrose-induced anthocyanin formation such as size of plant material, buffer conditions, light intensity and irradiated duration, incubation temp., etc were determined and standard procedure (suitable experimental condition) was set up as follows. The second leaf blade of white corn seeding induced by fluridone treatment were segmented into a size of 5${\times}$5 min. The segments were floated on the solution of 1% sucrose in 1.0mM MES buffer (pH6.0∼6.5) and incubated at 26$^{\circ}C$ for 2days under the continuous light condition(70∼100$\mu$mol m$^{-2}$ s$^{-1}$ ). Anthocyanin in the purpled tissues was extracted with methanol containing 1% HCl and the optical density of the clear supematants was determined at 528mm. Influences of some chemicals were tested using this system. Glyphosate, 5-enolpyruvylshikimate 3-phosphate synthase inhibitor, showed most sensitive response with I$_{50}$ value at 3.3$\mu$M. Dicyclohexylcarbodiimide(DCCD) and parachloromercuribenzenesulfonic acid(PCMBS) had a relatively strong ingibition with I50 value at 7.1$\mu$M and 10.2$\mu$M, respectively. These results show that sucrose-induced anthocyanin formation in white com leaf segment provide a very simple and rapid system for searching new compounds affecting aromatic amino acid or anteocyanin biosynthesis by screening at less than 10$\mu$M.

Comparison of Different Screening Methods in Estimating the Prevalence of Precancer and Cancer Amongst Male Inmates of a Jail in Maharashtra, India

  • Aim: To compare the effectiveness of self-examination, clinical examination and screening methods using 1% toluidine blue and Lugol's iodine in estimating the prevalence of lesions at risk of malignancy and oral malignant disease amongst the male inmates of Yerwada Central Jail, Pune. Material and Methods: Study was carried out on male inmates in two phases. In the first phase self-examination and clinical examination was carried out on 2,257 male inmates. 164 suspicious cases were subjected to phase II of the study out of whom, 82 participants were screened with 1% toluidine blue and 2% Lugol's iodine followed by biopsy procedure. Results: Sensitivity and specificity for self-examination with clinical examination was 92.2% and 96.6% respectively. Sensitivity, specificity, positive (PPV) and negative predictive values (NPV) and positive (+LR) and negative likelihood ratio (-LR) for Toluidine Blue were 88.1%, 66.6% 97.1%, 30%, 2.63 and 0.17 respectively while for Lugol's Iodine they were 94.7%, 83.8%, 98.6%, 55.5%, 5.67 and 0.06 respectively. Conclusions: Prevalence of lesions at risk of malignancy and oral malignant disease by self-examination was 7.8% and by clinical examination was 6.3%. Self-examination is an effective tool in early detection of oral cancer. Use of Lugol's iodine as a screening tool for oral lesions is highly effective in inmate populations.

  • 딥러닝 기법을 활용하여 분자 구조로부터 물성을 예측하는 시스템은 화학, 생물학, 재료 연구에 적용하기 위해 개발되었다. 분자 구조와 물성 정보가 축적된 데이터베이스를 기반으로, 구조와 물성간의 관계식을 찾는 딥러닝 모형을 구축한 후 최종적으로는 새로운 분자 구조에 대한 물성 예측값을 제공할 수 있다. 또한 선정된 분자 구조의 실제 물성값에 대한 실험을 병행하여 지속적인 검증 및 모형 업데이트를 수행하게 된다. 이를 통해 다량의 분자구조로부터 물성이 우수한 분자 구조를 빠른 시간 안에 스크리닝할 수 있으며, 연구의 효율성 및 성공률을 높일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 딥러닝을 활용한 물성 예측 시스템의 전반적인 구성과 LG화학에서 실제 신규 구조 발굴에 적용된 사례를 중심으로 소개하고자 한다.

피부온을 기반으로 한 가전제품의 감성 평가 프로토콜 수립을 위한 문헌 조사 (A Literature Review for an Emotion Evaluation Protocols Based on Skin Temperature for Home Appliances)

  • This study reviews studies that used skin temperature in order to establish an emotion evaluation protocol based on skin temperature for home appliances. A survey of skin temperature evaluation papers was conducted by the following five stages: (1) keyword search, (2) title screening, (3) abstract screening, (4) full paper screening, and (5) relevance evaluation. Selected papers were reviewed for: purpose, recruitment criteria of participants, the number of participants, apparatus, procedure, measures, analysis methods, and major findings. Thermistor sensors and thermography are used for the measurement of skin temperature. Skin temperature sensors are attached to 4 - 10 locations on the body and their mean of skin temperature is calculated by Ramanatan's 4-point or Hardy & Dubois's 7-point method. Semantic differential (SD) method and thermography measuring facial surface temperature have been used for emotion evaluation. The SD method provides a set of adjective pairs related to a product and evaluates changes in emotion from the use of the product. The range of facial surface analyzed is defined in the thermal image and temperature changes before and after the evaluation are analyzed. The evaluation items of home appliances include form, color, material, aesthetics, satisfaction, novelty, convenience, pleasantness, and excellence. Many existing emotion studies using skin temperature do not apply physiological and psychological methods. This study provides basic data to establish a skin temperature and emotion evaluation protocol by examining literature for skin temperature and evaluation of sensitivity.

파이프 형상의 이종 주조알루미늄-고장력강의 마찰교반용접에서 확정선별설계법에 의한 인장강도 응용 (Tensile Strength Application Using a Definitive Screening Design Method in Friction Stir Welding of Dissimilar Cast Aluminum and High-Strength Steel with Pipe Shape)

  • Recently, friction stir welding of dissimilar materials has become one of the biggest issues in lightweight and eco-friendly bonding technology. In this study, a lightweight torsion beam axle, which is an automobile chassis component, was used in the welding to cast aluminum material. The friction stir welding process of A357 cast aluminum and FB590 high-strength steel as well as the effects of the process parameters were investigated and optimized using a novel definitive screening design (DSD). ANOVA was used to predict the importance of the process parameters with 13 degradation experiments using the proposed DSD. Also, FSWed experiments were conducted using an optical microscope analysis to investigate the tensile strength behavior in the weld area. In addition to determining the interaction between the tool's rotational speed and the plunge speed, results indicate that the influence of the plunge depth was the most significant.

나노 소재 기반의 전기장 투과 전극에 관한 연구동향 (Review on Electric-field Transparent Conduct Electrodes Based on Nanomaterials)

  • The 'field-effect' underlies the operation of most conventional electronic devices. However, effective control and implementation of the field-effect in semiconductor devices are limited due to screening of the electric-field by conducting electrodes. Thus far, the electronic devices have necessarily been designed to avoid or minimize the electric-field screening effect. As an alternative approach to this, a new type of conducting electrodes which would be transparent to both visible light and electric-field while being electrically conductive have been developed. Here, we define these electrodes as 'electric-field transparent electrodes' and provide a review on related work. Particular attention is paid to the material selection and design strategies to enhance the electric-field transparency of the electrodes while maintaining good electrical conductivity and optical transparency. We then introduce potential applications of the electric-field transparent electrodes in electronic and optoelectronic devices.

생약복합제 GCSB-5의 품질 표준화를 위한 구척의 지표성분 탐색 및 HPLC 분석 (HPLC Analysis and Screening of Standard Compound on Cibotii Rhizoma for Standardization of GCSB-5 Preparation)

  • GCSB-5 preparation is a purified extract from a mixture of 6 medicinal plants(Acanthopanacis Cortex, Achyranthis Radix, Saposhnikoviae Radix, Cibotii Rhizoma, Glycine Semen Nigra, Eucommiae Cortex) that have been widely used for the treatment of various bone disorders. The aim of this study was to investigate HPLC analysis method and screening of standard compound on Cibotii Rhizoma for quality standardization of a medicinal crude drug GCSB-5. Onitin-4-O-$\beta$-D-glucopyranoside was isolated from Cibotii Rhizoma as the standard compound and identified on the basis of spectroscopic data such as NMR. HPLC analysis method for the determination of onitin-4-O-$\beta$-D-glucopyranoside was established for the quality control of the medicinal plants of Cibotii Rhizoma species, GCSB-5 raw material and GCSB-5 preparation. And validation of HPLC analysis methods were conformed for verification of HPLC methods by check to specificity, linearity, intra-day precision, inter-day precision and accuracy following ICH guideline.

  • With an aim to disclose causal factors scably grains intoxications, the screening of toxic Fusaria and the detection of toxic priniciples were performed in respect of cultured cells bioassay with HeLa cells, skin-necrotizing effect, histopathological investigation and also chromatographic analysis sith following results ; 1. Among the fungi, Fusarium sp. F-27, F-63 and F-61 were highly toxic to mice, causing liver injury characterized necrosis and inflammation. 2. HeLa cell culture bioassay demonstrated that the cell of the isolated strains of Fusaria were suspected to produce toxic material (Fusarenon-X). 3. The culture filtrates of Fusarium nivale Fn-2B, F-27, and F-63, were injected subcutaneously, and caused inflammation followed by crust on the skin ICR-mice. 4. The observation method of skin-necrotizing effect to the mice can be used to the screening to the toxin-producing fungi isolated from many fusarial contaminations.
