  • 자재 및 재고관리에 관한 부분은 전 산업 분야에서 기업의 이익을 위해 고려되는 주요 요소 중 하나이지만 국내 건설 프로젝트에서는 조달 관리의 중요성이 상대적으로 평가절하 되어왔고 기존의 재고관리에 관한 연구는 개별 요소로 한정되어 많이 연구되었으며 제조업의 이론을 도입하는 단계에 머물렀다. 따라서 건설 프로젝트의 자재 및 재고관리를 전체적인 프로세스 관점에서 바라보고 개선하며 기존 이론의 도입에 더하여 건설 프로젝트 특성 반영이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 계획 단계의 현장 관점에서 야적장의 면적과 재고량을 이용하여 경제적주문량을 결정하는 자재관리 프로세스를 제안하고 이를 건설 현장의 기존 프로세스와 비교하여 그 유용성을 검증하였다.

  • As construction works have become larger and more complex, improving productivity by introducing Information Technology (IT) is pursued and more effective construction management is needed in construction industry. In this circumstance, many different kinds of project management system is being introduced, and various IT technologies are applied such as Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), Bar Code, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Web Camera, and so on. However, these kinds of technologies might cause re-processing of information and ineffectiveness of project because of lack of real time information processing technology or separation between construction sites and management offices. Meanwhile, these technologies rather decrease the construction productivity except for the data saving and database function. Therefore, this research aims to develop Application that can be applied efficiently for construction material management, by understanding problems of former management system with questionnaires and extracting functions with analysis of requirements. In virtue of the construction material management Application which will be developed in this study, it will be possible to input information automatically, to process and check material information in real time, and to identify the location of necessary material. Then, the problem of separation between construction sites and management offices are solved, and as a result, more efficient management of materials in construction sites will become possible. At the same time, this study will investigate the possibility and applicability of new IT device, Smart Phone to construction sites.

Material Management Using Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) in the Construction Industry

  • The advent of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology has created new opportunities for improving the material management function in the construction industry and is starting to provide major improvements in the efficiency of the material management process. The objective of the research reported herein was to introduce the benefits of RFID technology on material management in the construction industry. RFID technology is discussed and various aspects of this technology are investigated. Potential RFID applications on material management proposed by Construction Industry Institute (CII) Breakthrough Strategy Committee (BTSC) and Fully Integrated and Automated Technology (FIATECH) are spelled out Finally, business analysis of RFID to estimate its impact is provided. It is concluded that there is a significant potential for improvement of material management function in the construction industry through the use of RFID.

자동차 내장 재질의 감성 품질요인 도출 및 물리적 특성치와의 연관성 분석 (Derivation of affective factors for automotive interior material and its association analysis on material properties)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to structure affective factors related to the tactile sense in order to improve tactile sensibility satisfaction of interior material. In this paper, we propose the design direction of interior material by analyzing the association between material properties and affective factors for automotive interior material. Methods: The relationship between sensibility adjectives and feelings related to tactile sensation were derived through factor analysis after touching prepared samples that were made by changing the material properties of automotive interior material. The association between affective factors and interior material properties were analyzed through ANOVA. Results: Seven kinds of visual and tactile affective factors were derived from the correlation between feeling of material and sensibility adjectives measured by 215 subjects. It is found that there is a quadratic relationship rather than a linear relationship through association analysis between affective factors and the material properties such as roughness, friction coefficient, and hardness. Conclusion: This study suggests the direction of the interior material design which can improve the sensibility satisfaction of the automobile customers by identifying the tactile factors related to the material properties of automotive interior material.

Combining Machine Learning Techniques with Terrestrial Laser Scanning for Automatic Building Material Recognition

  • Automatic building material recognition has been a popular research interest over the past decade because it is useful for construction management and facility management. Currently, the extensively used methods for automatic material recognition are mainly based on 2D images. A terrestrial laser scanner (TLS) with a built-in camera can generate a set of coloured laser scan data that contains not only the visual features of building materials but also other attributes such as material reflectance and surface roughness. With more characteristics provided, laser scan data have the potential to improve the accuracy of building material recognition. Therefore, this research aims to develop a TLS-based building material recognition method by combining machine learning techniques. The developed method uses material reflectance, HSV colour values, and surface roughness as the features for material recognition. A database containing the laser scan data of common building materials was created and used for model training and validation with machine learning techniques. Different machine learning algorithms were compared, and the best algorithm showed an average recognition accuracy of 96.5%, which demonstrated the feasibility of the developed method.

  • 건설산업에서 자재와 관련된 비용은 프로젝트 특성에 따라 다르지만 일반적으로 원가구성비 측면에서 40% 이상을 차지한다. 최근 대형화, 전문화, 복잡화 되어가는 건축 공사에서 자재의 반입, 이동 및 적재공간의 협소로 인해 자재관리가 매우 복잡하다. 하지만 대부분의 경우 자재관리는 현장 관리자의 경험에 의존해 관리되고 있으며 건설관리분야 중 자재관리의 중요성에 대한 인식도 낮은 실정이다. 이에 대한 건설 산업에서 자재관리에 대한 연구도 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 자재의 속성에 따른 MTS(Make-to-stock), ATO(Assemble-to-order), MTO(Make-to-order), ETO(Engineered-to-order)의 네 가지 분류 방법과 자재 조달 특성 및 자재 고유 특성 분석을 통하여 현장 자재의 효율적인 공급관리를 위한 자재의 속성별 관리체계를 분석한다. 이를 이용하여 자재 속성별 자재관리 프로세스를 제안한다.

  • 자재 관리는 건설프로젝트에서 소요되는 전체 비용의 50%이상에 해당하는 가장 중요한 현장 관리 중 하나이다. 건설 분야의 자재 관리 방법 증 하나로 무선 주파수 인식(Radio Frequency Identification)을 사용한 관리가 시도되고 있다. 하지만 현재 RFID의 트랜스폰더(Transponder)를 어떻게 그리고 어디에 설치하여야 효율적인 자재 관리가 이루어지는 지에 대한 연구가 미비한 실정이고 어떠한 방법으로 최적화를 하여야 효율적인 설치가 될 것인지에 대한 연구도 이루어 지지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 RFID 트랜스폰더를 공사 현장에서 어떻게 그리고 어디에 설치하여야 효율적인 위치 설정이 될 수 있는지 유전자 알고리즘(Genetic Algorithm)을 이용한 최적화 방법에 대하여 알아본다.

  • Indoor air quality has attracted great attention in recent years and thus the importance of managing finishing materials in terms of pollutant source control is being emphasized. Managing the finishing material at the design stage maximizes the efficiency of IAQ control at the following construction stage. However, there are insufficient investigations on the application of a specific finishing material management process, a database management system or a finishing material management process network. As a result, the main purposes of this study comprise comprehensive evaluation of IAQ performance from the selected finishing materials and auxiliary materials, application of the material management system basing on the types and characteristics of toxic substances generated from the indoor finishing materials, investigation of IAQ evaluation standard, and the overall IAQ evaluation method for the design parts. The result of this study will be the basic data to construct DBMS for management of finishing materials with respect to IAQ.

  • Nowadays the scale of domestic construction becomes large, sophisticated and specialized. It has led to a growing need for the high quality, cost reduction, safety and reduction of work duration. Therefore the importance of construction materials management is emphasized to perform the project successfully. It becomes an current issue about method of construction material management according to the flow of construction progress in the construction field. Therefore, various researches using RFID for efficiency of construction material are being studied. We analyzed the case study using RFID, drew the problems through the investigation of status about the management of material in the field, and then suggested the method of material management using in the apartment building construction field.

호텔조리사의 직무 속성이 레스토랑 식자재 관리 수행도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Hotel Restaurant Chefs' Job Attributes on Food Material Management)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relationship where the job satisfaction of chefs who directly handle the food materials in the hotel restaurants influences their purchase and management of the food materials. For this, 350 chefs of 11 five-star hotels were surveyed with a questionnaire about the process and consciousness in managing food materials. 293 copies of the questionnaire were used in the empirical study by excluding unanswered and insincere ones. Before verifying the hypothesis, the reliability and propriety of the concepts suggested by the study model were analyzed through structural equation model using AMOS 5.0 to analyze concepts and verify the hypothesis. As the result of, the job satisfaction of five-star hotel restaurant chefs appeared to have positive influence on the chefs' purchase attitude, food material satisfaction, food material management performance. Also, the supplier satisfaction increased when the cooking and purchase departments communicate well with each other. Therefore, for the efficient purchase of food materials, the purchase and cooking departments shall survey the market periodically, increase communication between departments to obtain food material satisfaction, organization satisfaction and job satisfaction.
