Considering the established research about the characteristics of traditional expression in a contemporary korean architecture, there are two critical problems. the one is that the extent of a case is limited to a public building and a large exhibition building. the other is that the angle of research focus on the viewpoint of specific a level. To settle these problems and supplement a established research, this study is to investigate and analyze the characteristics of popular traditional expression in small commercial buildings. In A viewpoint on the expansion of a case and a various angle, A small commercial buildings is selected as a case. because it is felt that the populace's taste vis-a-vis traditional expression. To investigate and analyze, A main analytic criterion is follows. 1) A expressional method on traditional architectural form 2) A expressional aspect by architectural element 3) A expressional aspect in architectural material 4) A expressional aspect in architectural structure. In consequence we can find out the following results in the process of analysis. 1) In expressional method on traditional architectural form, the traditional expression is represented as the imitation and transformation of a traditional folk house forms, and the embodiment of traditional image 2) In expressional aspect by architectural element, the traditional expression elements is mainly represented at a straw roof and a mud-plastered wall 3) the traditional expression material is mainly straw, timber, small wood boards and mud 4) In expressional aspect in architectural structure, the traditional expression is represented from the viewpoint of decorative expression.

This study focuses on defining the new meaning of immateriality in the present times expressed on space. The purposes of this study were to examine the characteristics of immateriality showed in commercial interior design in Korea, based on the definition of immateriality concept and the analysis of the way it is expressed. The result of this study is as follows; it categorized characteristic of material expression, space concept and media. Characteristic elements can be classified into 6: transparency, implication, off-gravitation, ambiguity of boundary, temporality, interactivity. Expression of immateriality in commercial interior space was obtained in many different ways, which are identified: new expression of material by reduction of materiality, leveling of transparency, expression of floating status, changeable image, illusion effect, blurring boundary. Immateriality is deeply associated with the elements such as surface, material, media, light, and movement. So it is being recognized as an important design concept in today's pluralist society and will play an important role within the design paradigms for the future.

This study analyzed the characteristics of spatial expression in the Barcelona Pavilion to be based on tectonics. Mies pointed out the image of materiality about the material rather than the process of tectonics using the material, and he also expressed demateriality in the image of each material through the reflection. To be liberated from structural matters, the wall has been introduced. He intended to show the design plan as the independent structural system, however, the wall actually seems to be supporting the roof that shows rather clearly self-contradictory because of the expression of materiality in the material. In terms of architectural elements; wall, roof, column, floor, and so forth, tectonic expression and abstract aesthetics stands face to face, because of hiding the productional process and transforming to line and surface in the image of materiality. The interior of the glass wall seems fairly closed space from the exterior, because materiality and reflection of materials of columns and podium. The character of experiential space is inconsistent and fragmentary because of the splendid images from maternality and reflection on the wall, and collision with the reality and the image the wall reflects, even though the geometrical space of the Pavilion's plan has the mutual penetrability and organic character.

This purpose of this study was to analyze the formation and look into design characteristics by types and method of expression on multifunctional eco-friendly fashion design. Total 191 pieces of multifunctional fashion design photographs were collected through fashion collection from 2000 S/S to S/S 2010 F/W on the website. First, the characteristics of multifunctional eco-friendly fashion design used squared silhouette, achromatic colors, plain patterns for pollution control, hard materials to prolong the product, it was clear that details were minimized to save resources. Second, there were 5 changeable types of multifunctional eco-friendly fashion design which were changes in changing forms, material changes, item changes, detail changes and complex changes. Third, as the result of changeable types by method of expression, the changing forms were expressed by removable, material changes by reversible, detail changes by open and close and item changes by shifting. Forth, the formative properties of multifunctional eco-friendly fashion design had flexibility, multifunction, versatility and amusing. Therefore, this study will be helpful in planning multifunctional eco-friendly fashion design according to the kind of formative characteristics, changeable types, method of expression and provide concrete fundamental materials for the expert in clothing on the base of objective data through statistical analysis.

We have thought artistic charactics of modern form is abstract expression and purity and unity sight. Specially, modern sculpture form has strict geometrical form as showed in primitive art. In this circumstances, modern costume has stylized more artistic form in pure sight. Artistic characteristics showed in those collections are picturesque in material and sculpture in shillouette. Picturesque material pointed in decoretive function and simple shillouette pointed in sculpturesque body in modern costume.

Recently, the application of viscoelastic material in the field of vibration isolation has gradually increased due to its achievement in structural damping capacity, and many of the theoretical and experimental study has been carried out. In this study, the dynamic characteristics of the visoelastically supported cantilever beam, of which govering equation is based on the Bernoulli- Euler equation, is analyzed theoretically and experimentally. Expression for stiffness of multi-layered viscoelastic materal has been developed using variables such as frequency and number of layers, and further, based on this expression, damping characteristic of the beam is investigated with experimental verification.

Mies van der Rohe is still known as the architect whose influence is the largest among modem architects. As his work is typical of modern architecture, the architecture of Mies shows an interest in materials and techniques, even though It established the new architectural world by glass and iron, and only transparency is emphasized with glass. So it is blame for the loss of peculiarity a result of thinking In the way of sachlich with expression and structure of material and hierarchical relation. Vincent Scully has insist on that an appearance of modem architecture be occur not by simply a technical request of a technician but by reflection of the times and times' spirit. In this means, the works of Mies is the trial to express the new times' spirit that the new times order and an understanding of material properties about glass with new material of modern. For that, this study tries to consider that Mies'work is the new trial through reflection of material to express about the bstraction beyond the limit of sachlich expression, on the point of expresslonal characteristics of material shown in plan of the Barcelona Pavilion and skyscraper and on the basis of the theory of Gottfried Semper and Karl Boetticher that architectural surface Is a medium which can define space and also express mass.

This study aims at developing and producing the creative design of a lingerie look after reviewing the aesthetic value about lingerie look featured in John Galliano's works. As for the research method, the selection process from the works was followed together with literature review for empirical analysis over lingerie looks, where 2,764 pieces in total were reviewed from Galliano's Pret-a-Porter collections covering from 2001S/S until 2010F/W and Christian Dior's Haute Couture and Pret-a-Porter collections that he is in charge of as head designer and 291 pieces were finally singled out that show the lingerie look image well. Then, the formative expression was examined about those looks and the characteristics were induced from them. Formativeness expressed in Galliano's lingerie look, in term of lingerie style, was categorized as erotic, retro, and deconstructive. The glittering and smooth material like silk and satin, and the visible material like lace and chiffon were mainly used for material rather than foreign material. By doing so, the romantic and erotic image was highlighted. In the production method, it was grouped into transposition of wear, direct and indirect exposition, and deconstructive way. These aesthetic characteristics introduced by formative expression appeared in the form of eroticism, play, and deconstructiveness.

The design of the period after 20th century has rapid change. It is due to the improvement and the change of technology which is composed of the parameter that is the science and the machine after the Industrial Revolution. The fabrication and analytical expression for the temperature dependent capacitance characteristics of inverted staggered hydrogenerated amorphous silicon thin film transistors(a-si :H TFT) from 303k to 363k were presented. The results show that the experimental capacitance-voltage characteristics at several temperatures are easily measured. Capacitance increased exponentially by gate voltage increase and decreased by temperature increase. C/C(max) ratio decreased at higher temperature, C/C(min) ratio increased at higher temperature.
