This paper depicts the design, implementation and analysis of efficient resonant based wireless power transfer (WPT) technique using three magnetic coupled coils. This work is suitable for mid ranged device due to small form factor while minimizing the loading effect. A multi turned loop size resonator is exploited for both the transmitter and receiver for longer distance. In this paper, class-E power amplifier (class-E PA) is introduced with an optimum power tracking mechanism of WPT system to enhance the power capability at mid-range with a flat gain. A robust method of finding optimum distance is derived with an experimental analysis of the designed system. In this method, the load sensitive issue of WPT is resolved by tuning coupling coefficient at considerable distances. Our designed PA with a drain efficiency of 77.8% for a maximum output of 5W is used with adopted tuning technique that improves the overall WPT system performance by 3 dB at various operating points.

The main objective of this paper is to investigate the performance characteristics of a $CO_2$ air conditioning system for fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV). The present air conditioning system for FCEV uses the electrically driven compressor and electrically controlled expansion valve for $CO_2$ as a working fluid. The experimental work has been done with various operating conditions, which are quite matching the actual vehicle's driving conditions such as different compressor speed and high pressure to identify the characteristics of the system. Experimental results show that the cooling capacity and coefficient of performance (COP) were up to 6.3kW and 2.5, respectively. This paper also deals with the development of optimum high pressure control algorithm for the transcritical $CO_2$ cycle to achieve the maximum COP.
We report microwave properties of high-T$_c$ superconducting (HTS) microstrip antennas without impedance matching circuits, where the impedance mismatching is obvious under the critical temperature (T$_c$). The superconducting thin films used in this report were YBa$_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (YBCO) films deposited on MgO substrates produced by pulse laser deposition (PLD) technique. At around T$_c$, 86 K the reflection coefficient rapidly drops, and the standing wave ratio (SWR) becomes almost unity, and the characteristic impedance based on the Smith chart is nearly 50 ${\Omega}$. The reflection coefficient and the SWR of the HTS microstrip antenna were - 62.52 dB and 1.0015, respectively, at the resonant frequency of 11.812 CHz at 86 K.
This study was performed on the dose distribution of various field size and the effect of penumbra shield in the telecobalt unit. The results obtained are as follows. 1. Errors of the light and ${\gamma}-ray$ field size was below the regulation as 0.52 percentage. 2. The coefficient of field area was increased with the larger field area, and this coefficient was showed the more difference in larger SSD. 3. The rectangular field areas, which were described by level of the same percentage depth does, were decreased with the more elongation factor. At the same elongation factor, the compensating factor was decreased with the larger field size. 4. The lead block or extension collimator was able to shield r-ray exposure of outside field size from 50 to 80 percentage. 5. On the matching adjacent fields, while the gap between beam edges are contacted, that overlapped beam edges indicated up to 140 percentage, and while the gap was 1 cm, it could be reduced to 90 Percentage. The lead-libocking on the overlapped area was more effective to lower dose, as 80 percentage in this case. 6. Percentage depth dose of various trimming field sizes were increased linearlly according to area 1 perimeter size, but the center split field size did not maintain linearlly.
Sound absorbing characteristics of poroelastic materials is known to be greatly affected by high intensity acoustic waves. However, this effect has not been considered yet. In this study, the extended semilinear model based on Biot's theory for the porous materials and the characteristics of nonlinear waves in poroelastic sound absorbing materials were introduced. The expressions for the finite-amplitude acoustic plane waves were presented. By combining each nonlinear wave with appropriate matching conditions, we could investigate the effects of finite-amplitude acoustic waves on absorption characteristics of poroelastic materials. In the most ideal case considered in this paper, the absorption coefficient was found to become larger than that of linear incident waves. It was shown that the absorption coefficient became greater especially as frequency goes higher and as distance from the source goes larger. These phenomena may be inferred to result from 'dissipation effects due to nonlinearity'. This finding may have important implications for high intensity noise control.
The accuracy of classifying pixels in HIRIS images is usually degraded by noisy bands since noisy bands may deform the typical shape of spectral reflectance. Proposed in this paper is a statistical method for noisy band removal which mainly makes use of the correlation coefficients between bands. Considering each band as a random variable, the correlation coefficient measures the strength and direction of a linear relationship between two random variables. While the correlation between two signal bands is high, existence of a noisy band will produce a low correlation due to ill-correlativeness and undirectedness. The application of the correlation coefficient as a measure for detecting noisy bands is under a two-pass screening scheme. This method is independent of the prior knowledge of the sensor or the cause resulted in the noise. The classification in this experiment uses the unsupervised k-nearest neighbor algorithm in accordance with the well-accepted Euclidean distance measure and the spectral angle mapper measure. This paper also proposes a hierarchical combination of these measures for spectral matching. Finally, a separability assessment based on the between-class and within-class scatter matrices is followed to evaluate the performance.

A new design method of the microwave multisection impedance transformer is proposed. This method is based on the inverse scattering theory using the frequency domain reflection coefficient of the transformer to be designed. In the first step, the permittivity profile of a virtual one-dimensional dielectric medium is reconstructed using the desired reflection coefficient. In the second step, the transformer which is equivalent to the reconstructed dielectric medium in view of reflection characteristics is synthesized. Theoretically, this method can be used to design the impedance matching transformers with arbitrary passband characteristics within the limit of the Bode-Fano criteria[1]. Our approach is examined for two design examples to show that it is valid.

In order to solve the problems of the existing audio fingerprint method when extracting audio fingerprints from long speech segments, such as too large fingerprint dimension, poor robustness, and low retrieval accuracy and efficiency, a robust audio fingerprint retrieval method based on feature dimension reduction and feature combination is proposed. Firstly, the Mel-frequency cepstral coefficient (MFCC) and linear prediction cepstrum coefficient (LPCC) of the original speech are extracted respectively, and the MFCC feature matrix and LPCC feature matrix are combined. Secondly, the feature dimension reduction method based on information entropy is used for column dimension reduction, and the feature matrix after dimension reduction is used for row dimension reduction based on energy feature dimension reduction method. Finally, the audio fingerprint is constructed by using the feature combination matrix after dimension reduction. When speech's user retrieval, the normalized Hamming distance algorithm is used for matching retrieval. Experiment results show that the proposed method has smaller audio fingerprint dimension and better robustness for long speech segments, and has higher retrieval efficiency while maintaining a higher recall rate and precision rate.
In this paper, a Radio Frequency (RF) transformer (TF) based on LTCC (Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic) for the output stage of differential power amplifiers is presented. Instead of using an usual L-C matching circuit, a small-sized transformer was implemented on the LTCC board and the results were verified through simulation. For reduced size and better performance, a TF using more metal layers was implemented and compared with the existing TF through simulation. As a result of comparison, the proposed TF has an area reduced by 55% and a coupling coefficient increased by 25%, and insertion loss improvement of about 0.4dB at 5GHz was confirmed.
The purpose of this study is to improve the mapping between functional image and conventional image by using rectangular FOV technique. Diffusion weighted imaging which is widely used for stroke was acquired by reducing the FOV and compared each Apparent Diffusion Coefficient(ADC). As a result, there is no significant difference of each ADC value in one-way-anova analysis and post-hoc analysis. Thus, Mismatching problem may be improved by matching the FOV with rectangular FOV technique because there is no difference in ADC values.
