The purpose of this study is the awareness about the experiences of immigrant women residing in rural areas of life in Korea. Immigrant women residing in Gyeonggi Province and Incheon was a self-reported survey. Data collected by utilizing the SAS(Statistical Analysis System), percentage, mean, standard deviation, frequency analysis, including descriptive statistics were used. Findings, more than half of the migrant women are satisfied with their lives, and showed a high level of satisfaction with the husband. Learning map awareness in the education of their children in the most difficult and the necessary support to the children the basic curriculum map, Children's education as a way to solve the problem of after-school and school education activated and was the language barrier. Hard life in Korea, the language is a problem, Place discrimination received was a public place. Adapt to Korean society, language communication, child education, community adjustment problems with the same level of help was most needed. Meetings or activities often involve religious organizations, their home country, and meeting friends. His native Koreans, when it is difficult to discuss in order. Based on the results of such, Korea and community well adapted to the social framework that can nurture children married immigrant women in rural areas communities and Korean society and institutional as well prepared, and In addition, the foundation will need to activate the program.

This study focuses on immigrant women who are married to Korean men and who live in a multicultural family situation in Gyeonggi-do. These women experience acculturative stress and marital conflict and this study aims to determine how social support seeks to mediate the effects of those stressors. The women in this study participated in activities and received services from one of Gyeonggi-do Province's civic organizations, religious organizations, or social service organizations, such as the Social Welfare Agency and the Multicultural Family Support Center. In order to verify the study's hypothesis, the researchers used the following statistical analytical methods : t-test, two-way ANOVA and multi-regression analysis. Analysis of the study's results showed that the highest degree of marital conflict was found in the sub-zones and variables that were personal. Those variable were : the difference in mindset and values (personal domain), economic problems (communal living area), a child's upbringing and education issues (third party area), and the participant's sex life (in the marital relationship). The hypothesis was tested using the research model validation and the results are summarized as follows. First, in order to analyze the relationship between the marriage migration females' acculturative stress and the impact of that stress on marriage conflict, the hierarchical regression analysis was used. It identified that a direct correlation existed between acculturative stress and marriage conflict; where a higher degree of acculturative stress was present, a higher degree of marriage conflict was found. Second, the study found a statistical significance in the correlation and relationship (${\beta}$=.208, p<0.05) between the acculturative stress of the marriage migration female and material support. In other words, the material support can be seen as having a moderating effect on the acculturative stress, which is the independent variable, and the marital conflict, which is the dependent variable.
This study explored culture adaptive attitudes and traditional dress donning practices among Japanese women who immigrated to Korea after marrying Korean men. Quantitative research was conducted on Korean-Japanese multicultural families. Participants were 233 married women who emigrated from Japan to Korea currently living in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The data was analyzed using frequency analysis, t-test and correlation analysis. The findings were as follows: First, a positive relationship was found between Hanbok acceptance attitudes(HAA) and Kimono transmission attitudes(KTA). Both HAA and KTA had a positive relationship with ethnic identity. 43.3% of the respondents thought that they belonged both to Korean and Japanese ethnicity, 30.5% to Korean ethnicity, and 26.2% to Japanese ethnicity. Similar tendency (64.8% to bicultural identity, 31.3% to Korean, and 3.9% to Japanese) was found in the ethnic orientation towards their children. Both HAA and KTA had no difference in accordance with nationality, education and income level. Second, 70.4% of women had no experience of wearing Hanbok, and 90.1% had no experience of wearing Kimono. The women mostly wore Hanbok and Kimono for social events and family weddings.
Purpose: The study examined the correlation of perceived health status, health behaviors, and marital satisfaction in women who have immigrated to Korea through marriage. Method: Data were collected via questionnaires that investigated health status, health behaviors, Korean language ability, characteristics of couple, and marital satisfaction. Three hundred four subjects were selected for a 4-month period. The data of 300 subjects were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and correlation, after four questionnaires were excluded due to incomplete data. Results: Perceived health status varied significantly according to nationality, existence of religion, and period of immigration. The scores for perceived health status among women who had lived in Korea for more than 5 years were lower than for women who had resided for 1-3 years. There was a significant positive correlation between health status and health behavior, and health status and Korean language ability, but a negative correlation between health status and age. Conclusion: A program for the improvement of health in immigrant women should include communication assistance as their mother language and should provide periodic health screening.
The purpose of this study was to provide basic materials and assistance for developing a nutritional education program targeting marriage immigrant women, and it was carried out on 86 female marriage immigrants living in the Gyeongbuk region. An average age of the female marriage immigrants who participated in this survey were 28.6 years, and their home countries were the Philippines (32.6%), Vietnam (29.1%), and so on. Exactly 59.3% of subjects had been married for 1~5 years, and 40.7% of the subjects had an education status of less than middle school graduation. The majority of them (65.1%) had one more children, and 51.2% of subjects were a part of a nuclear-family, with the husband's age between 40~49 years old (58.1%). Concern for nutrition label was significantly different according to number of children (P<0.01), period of marriage (P<0.001), and education level (P<0.05). It was demonstrated that a higher level of education was associated with a higher need to learn about nutritional information. Understanding nutritional facts and knowledge was significantly higher among the women with two children than no child (P<0.05), period of marriage >10 years than <1 year (P<0.01), and education level of college & university graduation than less than middle school (P<0.05). Sixty percent of the women surveyed participated in the education program of 'Korean language' as they were in their country, and the most preferred education program was 'Korean dietary life and culture' (39.5%). Regarding participation and educational method, the majority of subjects responded that they wanted to learn nutritional education in a cooking academy or school (52.9%) and public health center (34.1%).
Ever since Korea and Vietnam reestablished diplomatic relations, the two countries'bond has become stronger than ever, augmenting the range of exchange between them in almost every possible field including politics, economy, society, and culture at such a high speed. Among many, an increase in number of Vietnamese immigrant women in international marriage is worthy of close attention. Since 2010, Vietnamese has topped the proportion of total foreign women married to Korean men, having surpassed Chinese. Nonetheless, the quick international marriage between Korean men and Vietnamese women, which usually happens without sufficient time to get to know about different cultures and languages, has not only raised problems for people concerned, but numerous social issues as well. Recognizing these problems, a number of government departments have provided various support on policies and legal issues toprotect multicultural families as a means of social integration and settlement support. Nevertheless, the support policies until now have been generalizing all of the immigrant women in international marriage as people subject to protection. Thus, considering every immigrant women as people in need, and trying to help them with various social issues have caused the government a high cost and low efficiency. This thesis emphasizes the point that through the cases of Vietnamese immigrant women in international marriage, there should be a specific support plan for specific people in need, reflecting various traits of different cultures and societies, in order to ease their settlement in Korea. Moreover, it suggests detailed plans for improvements on legal and institutional problems. Although the Vietnamese government forbids commercial agents for international marriage, many of agencies are still active and to help the immigrant women, who desire to return and resettle in Vietnam in case of divorce, this thesis suggests legal and institutional remedies for Korean and Vietnamese government. The composition of the thesis follows below: Part II on social and cultural traits of international marriage between Korean men and Vietnamese women. Part III on institutional problems and plans for improvements regarding settlement of immigrant women in international marriage. Part IV on legal and institutional problems and plans for improvements regarding divorced immigrant women and their return to Vietnam. Part V on conclusion. Divorce is not a flaw anymore nowadays, but in case of Vietnamese immigrant women ininternational marriage, an inadequate legal system hampers their resettlement process. Cases of not being ableto remove their own names from the family register due to poor financial and legal abilities are often identified and it is both the Vietnamese and Korean governments'duty to acquit their ethical responsibilities by seeking ways to institutionally and financially support them.

This study analyzed the access to health-related information by migrant marriage women in Korea. Specifically, this study examined major issues, problems, and solutions related to immigrant women's experiences of seeking health related information while they struggle to settle down. It also analyzed the barriers to accomplish their purposes. For this, the study collected interview data from 12 informants and analyzed the transcript by utilizing qualitative data analysis software, Nvivo10. It has been revealed that migrant marriage women have experienced difficulties to obtain quality health information although they tend to have more health related problems than their time in homelands because of marriage, pregnancy, and patriarchal family culture in a new environment. It is expected that the results of the study will have the government and public agencies alerted the importance of public health information to migrant marriage women, and provide them with implications to build proper strategies.

The purpose of this study is to listen to vivid story on economic life of marriage immigrant women using phenomenological study out of qualitative study methods, and to analyze the meaning of dynamicity of experiences through in-depth interviews. The research question is "What is the meaning of economic life that marriage immigrant women experience?" From the research, 67 meaningful statements were abstracted and 15 core meanings were organized. The 15 core meanings were categorized as 5 theme categories such as 'Tough Life', 'Unstable Income such as Children Education Expense and Insurance Premium', 'Search for Changes in Life Style for Adaptation', 'Pursuit of Economic Stability through Employment', 'Expectation of Supports and Return to Married Woman's Parents' Home.' The researcher made structural description through first person speaker for the application of hermeneutical writing. In other words, the meaning of economic life of marriage immigrant women in Korea is 'difficult coping process to family-oriented culture pursuing changes in life style to adapt themselves to difficult reality.' Various undertones of practice were proposed through those statements such as policy to expand opportunities to receive an old-age pension by applying 'Joint Scheme for Couples' (Virtual Name) to People's pension for stable economic life of marriage immigrant women in old age.
The purpose of this study is to present the results of in-depth analysis of family disintegration experience as a qualitative study to understand the meaning and nature of the experiences of marriage and divorce of women who have divorced in Vietnam. The participants were selected as six Vietnamese women who had been divorced for less than two years after five to 12 years of marriage. The collection of data and the analysis of the data were done by six concrete steps that should be followed in the scientific phenomenology suggested by Colaizzi(1978) Through this study, 74 subjects from 203 semantic meanings were derived and identified as 23 subject groups and finally organized into 7 categories. The seven categories were presented as life in Vietnam before marriage, motive of getting married, method and process of marriage, good experience of marriage, difficult experience in marriage, cause of divorce, changed life after divorce. The results of this study suggest that sexual relationship is a major conflict factor in marriage, and that this problem can lead to divorce. It is hoped that this study will help to find a solution for the dissolution of multicultural families.
This study is to find social welfare practices that married women migrant can provide to them in order to relieve the stress of cultural differences and enjoy a good family life. Results,First, action plans to overcome intercultural differences are needed. To overcome effective cross-cultural differences, interventions and goals are set for culturally diverse clients that match their racial, cultural, ethnic, gender and sexual orientation.Second, it is necessary to cultivate professional education personnel. In order to train professionals, cultural diversity should be addressed in existing social welfare courses.Third, the related laws need to be rearranged. The Multicultural Family Support Act continues to emerge as a need for supplementation, including the understanding of Korean family culture and the lack of counseling for immigrant women.As a result, married women immigrants recognize that Korean life is different from their own in many aspects of their daily lives, so they endeavor to have a lot of patience and high level of effort in the adaptation process. Therefore, there is a need for a social welfare practice that can support this.
