  • 'What is nursing' this question could always be arised and such a question could bring forth the new possibility to definete the nursing concept more clearly. At the middle of 19th Centry, Mrs. Nightingale defined the concept of nursing as follows; 'Nursing is a kind of treatment act to aid the patient so that the health of patients may be recovered naturally, as keeping the most comfortable circumstances.' But after then, the role and function of nurses about purpose and method of nursing has continuously been studied, as the social circumstance has been changed. The fact that care provider and client have the same concept about nursing is very important at the first step of assessment. But at the present time, the care provider and client have not same concept yet, so the difference of unrsing concept between care provider and client is analyzed in this study. This study would be belived to be helpful for the advance of nursing in the future. In this study, 20 questionare from nursing objectives developed by Abdellah(basic care needs, sustenal care needs, remedial care needs and restorative care needs) are used for adult. The data of this study by the 6 point rating scale are analyzed by SAS as follows; 1. Respondent's view is that nursing is necessary in case of group(school or company) rather than private and in case of abnormal conditions rather than normal conditions. 2. Every questionares of nursing objectives are divided into 4 points of view such as basic care needs, sustenal care needs, remedial care needs and restorative care needs are examined. The evaluation by 6 point rating scale revealed that $5.08\pm0.65$ point in basic care needs $4.93\pm0.68$ point in sustenal care needs $4.91\pm0.80$ point in remedial care needs and $4.61\pm0.91$ point in restorative care needs. While basic care needs and substenal care needs that need more physical care show high points, remedial care needs and restorative care needs that need more psychological, social and spiritual care show low points. 3. It was checked whether there is any significant difference between above 4 point of views in nursing objectives and qeneral characteristics or not. As a result, there is significant difference between 4 point of view and ages, educational level, marriage, composition of children. And also there is significant difference between religion and basic care needs, remedial care needs and restorative care needs. But there is no significant difference between any point of view and sex, occupation, experience of admission and experience of family admission. As this study is based on the data gethered from a restricted area, the result can not represent the opinion of all the clients. Therefore the same kind of study should be carried out on many areas repeatedly and also it should be tried to extract objective concept. And also periodical study is needed to observe the changing process of nursing concept.

  • The increase of female employees tends to change the traditional division of the roles of members in the family, and as a result it changes the idea of family relation and the extent of how housewives with job feel happy toward their marriage. Therefore, it may be very significant to study what attitude woman job holders as housewives have toward their family, especially parents-in-law. In this paper the writer has sampled as an exemplary group woman teachers who teach home economics in high schools in Seoul, and investigated what opinion they have toward the problem of living together under the same roof with their parents-in-laws and otherwise of financing them in an older age. This analysis is based upon 130 questionnaires collected as proper data out of 138. The conclusion made from the analysis is as follows : (1) as regards the living together under the same roof if necessary in the future, one-fifth of the group approves in affirmative terms ; (2) but when parents-in-law become older, about half of the teachers wish to live with them in the same home and except the indefinite few, one-third of them taken the negative position ; (3) finally, the great majority (84%) regard as their duty the financial support in any case when parents-in-law become older, and only five per cent answer in negative. This analysis leads to the further conclusion that the idea of family relations cherished by high school teachers of home economics is not yet far off the traditional relationship with the intention of gradual improvement, but on the other it still sticks to the traditional line without too much impairing it.

  • The ceremonies were roughly categorized into four: coming of age, marriage, funeral and ancestral worship. Among them, the funeral was a representative example to show ancestral worship. As it symbolizes the worship to ancestors, its procedure was complicated and formalized. It was undoubtedly certain that formalized mourning dresses and complicated table setting for sacrificial services to ancestors were burdens. Although what was symbolized by mourning dresses was different depending on the wearers purposes, it was thought that no clothing had such unusual symbolism as mourning dress. When the composition of mourning dress was examined, it was shown that Taoism, family relation of Confucianism or symbolic clothing system of Shamanism were combined. Mourning dress first represented the Confucian idea of ancestral worship. For the composition of clothing in which a shamanistic element was inherent, forms of birds were used to guide the dead soul to the other world. In cutting out mourning dress, opposite concepts of Yin and Yang, and closure and openness were used to show a harmony between heaven and the earth. Male and female were represented through sewing techniques. The period of observing the mourning period depended on the degree of kinship. The degree to which the clothing was loose indicated the degree of sadness and kinship. Load blocks and tear pads indicated the degree of sadness. In considering the above indicators, family relation and filial piety to ancestors had a great effect on the form and details of mourning dress. Shamanistic elements as well as Confucian ones were inherent in mourning dress, which resulted in the combination of Taoism and Confucianism.

  • The primary goal of this study is to identify disintegration and reconstruction of the family/kinship structure in the rapidly industrializing urban area, Seoul. For this purpose, detailed data about (1) the value related to the family and kinship (2) the family relationship, especially marital relationship (3) the attitude of divorce and remarriage (4) the characteristics of the social network (5) the family/kin rites and attitude about the rites are gathered. A total of 716 subjects completed structured questionnaires. Major conclusions of the study are as follows: Firstly, most of the respondents are found not to support familism and boy preference, and they show an ambivalence about the child value analyzed by concepts of the cost and reward. Secondly, most of the respondents perceive that marital relationship has been changed toward the direction of increased relative importance of wives' opinion in the decision making process within the family. However, they believe that husbands still have more power than their wives. Respondents also believe that parents have more power than their children. Thirdly, most of the respondents view divorce as an altemative to unhappy marriage. It was also shown that relatively few have negative attitude toward remarriage. Fourthly, the social network of the respondents is characterized by two distinct trends, namely, strong parent-child ties and narrowed kin relationship. Fifthly, the urbanization and the introduction of western life style have disrupted the traditional rites of passage. But ancestral rites serve to confirm family ties, especially the gathering of siblings to perform ancestral rites for parents. Therefore foreign element exist in parallel with pre-existing traditional elements.

  • In this paper, the follow-up works of Habermann's deadlock avoidance algorithm is investigated from the view of correction, efficiency and concurrency. Habermann's deadlock avoidance algorithm is briefly surveyed and in-depth discussion of follow-up algorithms modified and improved is presented. Then, further improvement of Kameda's algorithm will be discussed. His algorithm for testing deadlock-freedom in computer system converts the Habermann's model into a labeled bipartite graph so that the deadlock detection problem can be equivalent to finding complete matching for Mormon marriage problem. His algorithm has a running time of O($mn^1.5$) because Dinic's algorithm is used. The speed of above algorithm can be enhanced by employing a faster algorithm for finding a maximal matching. The wave method by Kazanov is used for.

  • The proportion of non-farm income among farm household income is over 40%, with the main source coming from the sixth industry. While it is important to understand consumers' preferences to revitalize the sixth industry, the majority of research is focused on producers. Therefore, this study used an Ordered Logit Model to analyze consumer awareness and satisfaction with the 6th industry. As a result, first, the analysis showed that awareness of the sixth industry was generally low, and that the perceptions of gender and regions were different. Second, there were various ways to learn about the sixth industry through media reports, portal searches, and SNS. Third, factors affecting the recognition of the sixth industry were shown to have statistically significant effects on demographic and sociological variables such as age, marriage type, occupation, residential area, and income. This study is the first to analyze the awareness and satisfaction of the sixth industry from the consumer's point of view focusing on its revitalization.

  • It is common that most countries focus on the development of their capital cities. As a result, other areas do not develop as well as capital cities. Some areas even develop into a kind of distressed community. This leads to the outflow of population and also difficulties for remaining people in these areas. Under such social background, international marriages are on the increase in rural areas and small and medium-sized cities, causing many problems in connection with that. Many researches on multi-cultural families had been conducted recently, but most of them approached their studies from the viewpoint of social welfare. The physical, economical and cultural environments of multi-cultural families are closely connected to each other. Therefore it is necessary to study these families from a holistic point of view. Therefore the purpose of the research is to study the living conditions and the potential needs of married female immigrants in an in-depth and holistic way. The direction of residential planning for multi-families is also provided. To do that, there are three stages of the research which are theoretical review, preliminary survey and main survey. Methods of literature review, workshop, and questionnaire are used. Based on the results of the research, recommendations for the direction of multi-cultural families residential planning are provided. Physically, living-room, bedroom, kitchen and toilet should be adjusted based on their needs. Socially, the feelings of alienation and exclusion should be reduced for married female immigrants. Economically, it is necessary to find a way to make sure that the second generations of multi-cultural families do not inherit poverty from their parents. Culturally, it is important to consider the different needs of immigrants and to embrace their own culture.
