South America has vast energy resources with the renewable and non-renewable sources. However, many countries in the region are unable to guarantee adequate energy security both of energy supply and demand. Currently the possibility of energy security is high through regional energy integration based on the potential economic benefits. The difference of regulation system with the individual countries in the region impose strong barriers to integration process. Security of energy supply and its demand as well is fundamental issues in this region and regional energy cooperation is essential for getting rid of the insecurity of energy supplies. Despite of this problem, currently Latin American countries made a great effort to make multilateral energy security regime through projecting great energy infrastructure network(e.g. IIRSA) or mechanism especially in South America, which can give countries access to the region's reserve supplies by providing regulations and pricing mechanism with a shared energy market in this region. Brazil's active leading in the formulation of such movement toward energy security integration and participation of energy infrastructure network is good initiative to enforce this great energy security change. Politically and economically, Brazil's geographical position and the level of market size and oil and natural gas resources, in addition the leadership in renewable energy sources make it a sound candidate to take over the coordination of the secure integration of region's energy market. However, on the conditions of existing many obstacles such as, control of the output of the region's power plant, energy flows, the environmental matter within local community must be overcome to make more advance process and steps. Finally, to secure more institutional approach, this region must settle regional disputes resolution regime urgently.

International construction market has been open to other countries, and it derives the development of our overseas construction industry quantitatively as well as qualitatively. Until now, the major companies have an absolute majority in the overseas construction market, and the small and medium enterprises have had difficulty to get a leadership in the international construction market because of the lack of the technical expertise and the capital strength. Especially in the Middle East Asia, our construction companies has touched off a boom, so our market share also has grown, which derived from the up toward ratchet oil prices and a worldwide boom in real estate development. The small and medium enterprise minority have recognition that the overseas construction market is the major company's native territory. But Data from the existing researches and many statistics indicate the most companies tend to underestimate the capacity and international competitiveness of the small and medium enterprises. As a matter of fact, hundreds of small and medium enterprise cut a conspicuous figure in overseas market. Consequently, it is indispensable to overcome the international financial crisis by revitalizing our overseas construction industry which obtains excellent results in international market. this study suggested the ways to expand overseas bonding capacity of Korean financial institution. This study proposed the Korean government to allow Construction Guarantee (former Korea Construction Financial Cooperative) to deal with foreign exchange so that Construction Guarantee will underwrite the overseas construction bond.
About 100 years after the start of mass production by American car maker Ford in 1913, the automobile industry has come to a major transformation in 100 years. In this transformation period, automakers are facing the biggest challenge of converting power sources, the basis of automobiles, from existing internal combustion engines to electric vehicles. Hybrid vehicles have been released in Japan since the late 1990s, and changes in automobile power sources have occurred early. In order to gain global leadership in hybrid vehicles, Japanese automakers and the Japanese government joined forces to promote the growth of the domestic hybrid vehicle market. The government has implemented a policy to substantially subsidize the high price of hybrid cars compared to internal combustion engine cars by providing purchase subsidies and tax benefits to buyers. Toyota has increased its line-up of hybrid cars around the Prius and has further strengthened communication with customers for the sale of hybrid vehicles. As a result of continuing these efforts for about 20 years, the percentage of Japan's hybrid vehicle market in 2022 reached 51% for passenger cars. Recently, each country has been setting and promoting aggressive goals for electric vehicles that require a wider range of physical and institutional infrastructure than hybrid vehicles. This study aims to assess the growth of electric vehicles by looking at the trend of hybrid vehicles and how they've been distributed in the Japanese market.

The Desiccant air conditioning system has been designed as the industrial dehumidifier under the leadership of developed countries, considering CFC problems in 1990, indoor air quality(IAQ) and outdoor air intake rates. This could make the technical differences between them and us. Nowadays, domestic technology has been developed in some parts but there still remain many challenges to be managed. In this study, these tasks would be handled according to the desiccant air conditioning system market and prospects.
Purpose - The market orientation of a manufacturer is a very critical competitive advantage factor in the development of new markets and the sustainability and maintenance of existing ones, achieved through the design of customer-oriented products. This is recognized as a virtuous circle, in which firms grow by means of promoting quality management. However, though market-oriented activities are important in management and operations, they seem to be promoted mainly by large-scale enterprises rather than by small- and medium-scale firms, the latter having invested relatively few company resources. Furthermore, few studies and analyses have examined how market orientation relates to the expansion of quality programs within organizations or with business performance; the market orientation and customer-orientation concepts are mixed together when both are used in research. Given the current market situation in which the servitization of manufacturing firms is rapidly expanding, this study's analysis of the effect on market orientation of manufacturers is a significant contribution. From this perspective, this study has several objectives. First, is to analyze and suggest the relationship between market orientation and quality management activity for manufacturers, focusing on three sub-activities: products, process, and quality management activities. Second, it is intended to identify correlation between manufacturers' market oriented activity and their management performance and then to analyze how market orientation affects business performance. The results of a number of prior studies on the correlation between market orientation and management performance have indicated that market orientation does affect management performance. Third, this study also investigates whether any differences in the relationship among market orientation, quality management activity and business performance occur according to company size. The results are used to present operational suggestions for large- and small- and medium-size firms. Research design, data, methodology - This study seeks to analyze and identify the causal features of the organic relationship among market orientation, quality management, and management performance for Korean manufacturing companies using three years (2005-2007) of market orientation, quality management, and business performance data. Subsequently, structural equation modeling was used to analyze the causal features of related factors and it aims to identify the features of market orientation, quality management, and business performance. Results - The analysis examined how market orientation affected the quality management and management performance of 159 smalland medium-size companies. In particular, enterprise quality management was analyzed in relation to management performance with a focus on activities such as leadership, measurement and improvement, quality control, cost management, and process management. Conclusions - The result of the analysis show that market orientation significantly affected all of the quality management activities and that market orientation in turn significantly affected organizational performance. The result of analysis indicate that quality management activities have a significant effect on quality control and cost management.
To explore the social construction of the concept of leadership, image of media mogul depicted in the popular business newspaper, the Wall Street Journal, was analyzed. Then, the reconstructed image of the CEO was compared with the firm's stock price change to see their relationship, if any. This paper focused on the case of Steve Case (previous chairman of AOL Time Warner), who was the leader of the world largest media company. The period for the analysis was three years and five months from his inauguration(January 2000) to the resignation(May 2003). In general, CEO of a firm represents the firm itself. Thus, the image of the CEO is highly transcends to the image of the firm as well. Consequently, the image of CEO might have an impact on the firm's performance. Since business newspaper works as one of the most important information intermediaries in the stock market, the image of CEO constructed in the newspaper might be a critical indicator for the investors. The results revealed that media coverage of Steve Case was commensurate with the financial performance, particularly stock price change of the AOL Time Warner.

The purpose of this research is to explore the characteristics of Korean Global Hidden Champions focused on the success factors of foreign hidden champions. For this, we investigated the application process of these success factors of foreign hidden champions to Korean Global Hidden Champions and analyzed characteristics of Korean Global Hidden Champions with the cases of 11 companies. This research shows that there are the success factors of foreign hidden champions such as leadership and goals, self production, high-performance employees, market focus, continuous innovation, closeness to customer, globalization. This research also shows that there are some differences in the individual application process of success factors to each company. The Korean SME's trying to achieve the position of global hidden champions should know the success factors of foreign hidden champions clearly and investigate the application process of these success factors to Korean Global Hidden Champions carefully so that they may apply these lessons to their management processes and activities.
The purpose of the study was to investigate brand images and fashion leaderships of women's wear manufacturers targeting middle-aged women or older women. Thus, this study was to be an exploratory study to investigate clothing behavior of elderly female consumers and search apprel niche-market for them. The questionnaire consists of questions on brand images, fashion leadership, and merchandise assortment. The subjects were to evaluate their brand images and rated on 5 point Likert-type scales of 29 adjectives. The fashion leadership of these brands was evaluated by the degree of fashion trends adopted on 7 aspects including fashion images, silhouettes, fabrics, colors, design details, accessories, and item-coordinations. For the survey, both interview and the subjects were 66 manufacturers which have national brands or designer brands. Among 44 respondents, 30 respondents were designers and the rest of them were merchandiser or shop managers. The SPSS PC+ package was used to calculate frequency, T-test, and cluster analysis. The results from survey of manufacturers targeting middle-aged women or older women are as follow: 1) The brand imges which they pursue are prestigious, practical, and elegance. 2) There were significant differences in brand images, and national brand manufacturers pursue stronger images in prestigious, chic, intelligent, competency, than designer brand manufacturers. 3) 40 brands were divided into two clusters. 36 brands were included in one cluster, and only 4 brand were belong to the other cluster. In this market, the image of feminity was grouped with the image of prestigious, chic, intelligent, competency. 4) In product planning, the adption level of fashion trends in 7 aspects was generally at medium level, but fashion trends were more adopted in fabric, color, and item-coordination.

The importance of the Chinese fashion market is increasing; therefore, this study investigates the possibility of implementing a Word-of-Mouth (WOM) marketing strategy among Chinese students in Korea. This study examines the effects of consumer characteristics (similarity, opinion leadership, and fashion innovativeness), awareness of Korean fashion brands, satisfaction with Korean fashion products on WOM experiences and WOM behavior (off-line as well as on-line). A total of 161 responses from Chinese students in Korea were gathered and analyzed using SPSS 20.0 for descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and regression analysis. The results show that consumer characteristics (except similarity) significantly influence WOM experiences, opinion leadership influence off-line WOM behavior, and fashion innovativeness influence online WOM behavior. However, similarity has no influence on WOM experiences and WOM behavior. Second, Korean brand awareness affect both WOM experiences and behavior; however, satisfaction with Korean fashion products only affected WOM experiences. This study showed the feasibility of conducting a WOM marketing strategy using the WOM effects of Chinese students in Korea. The study may help the Korean apparel industries establish an entry strategy for the Chinese market.
