수중 경화형도료의 부식특성에 관한 전기화학적 고찰 (Evaluation of Corrosion Characteristics of Underwater Hardening Paint)

  • Many protection methods such as surface coating, electric protection, or other methods have been applied to the numerous steel structures widely used in continental and marine areas to control their corrosion, which is done from an economic point of view. Most of these steel structures are primarily protected by coating methods. However, some steel piles under seawater are protected by the electric protection method, that is, either using an impressed current or a sacrificial anode method. Furthermore, environmental contamination may cause a severely corrosive environment, which, in turn, causes the accelerated corrosion of steel structures. Subsequently, coated steel structures could deteriorate more rapidly than the designed lifetime because of the acid rain caused by air pollution, etc. Therefore, a coating of marine paint exposed to seawater, that is, underwater hardening painting, is increasingly required to be fast drying as well as highly corrosion resistant. In this study, five types of underwater hardening paints were prepared with different resin series and additives. Their corrosion and water resistances were investigated using electrochemical methods such as corrosion potential, polarization curves, impedance and cyclic voltammogram measurements, etc. Even though it is generally accepted that the corrosion resistance of bare steel tends to increase with a shift of the corrosion potential in the noble direction, the corrosion resistance of a sample with a coating exhibited a relatively better tendency when it had a lower corrosion potential in this study. The corrosion current density was also decreased with a decrease in the diffusion limiting current density, which may mean that there is some relationship between corrosion and water resistance. The S sample of the ceramic resin series showed the relatively best corrosion and water resistance among those of samples, while the worst corrosion and water resistance were observed for the R sample of the epoxy resin series. The corrosion and water resistance of those samples tended to deteriorate with an increase in the immersion days, and their corrosion and water resistances were considered to be apparently improved by the types of resin and additives.

  • 표면개질이란 재료 본연의 특성만으로 원하는 성능과 기능을 발휘할 수 없는 때 기재 표면에 열에너지, 응력 등을 부가하여 새로운 표면층을 형성하는 방법으로, 소지금속의 방청, 외관미화, 내마모성, 전기절연, 전기전도성 부여 등의 폭넓은 목적을 달성시키고자 하는 일련의 조작을 말한다. 이러한 표면개질에는 도금, 화성처리, 도장, 라이닝, 코팅, 표면 경화 등이 있다. 그 중 전해액을 이용한 표면개질은 오래전부터 공업적으로 활용하기 위한 연구가 많이 이루어져 왔으며, 원가절감과 높은 생산성, 그리고 복잡한 형상에 대한 적용이 가능해 여러 분야에서 각광받고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 5083-O 알루미늄 합금을 이용해 해양환경에서 우수한 내식성을 보유할 수 있는 최적의 표면개질 전해액 온도를 선정하고자 전기화학 실험을 실시하였다. 실험 결과, 표면개질을 실시한 경우가 현저히 낮은 부식전류밀도를 나타냈으며, 특히 불완전 기공이 생성된 $5^{\circ}C$를 제외하고 전해액 온도가 증가함에 따라 감소하는 결과를 나타냈다.

방청도료의 부식특성과 염분농도의 상관관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Relationship between Corrosion Characteristics and Salt Concentration of Anti-corrosive Paint)

  • Recently, many types of constructional steels have been often exposed to under severe corrosive environments due to acid rain with increasing environmental contamination. In order to inhibit their corrosion in severe corrosive environments, a painting method has been widely applied to numerous constructional steels of land as well as marine. Therefore, development of paint having a good quality of corrosion resistance is considered to be very important. In this study, four types of anti-corrosive paints (AP: Phenol epoxy, AC: Ceramic epoxy, AT: Coal tar epoxy, AH: High solid epoxy) were coated to the specimens, and then, were immerged in various salt solutions (0.1, 0.3, 3, 6, 9 and 15% NaCl solutions) for 11 days. And, the corrosion resistance of these samples by effect of osmotic pressure with salt concentration was investigated with electrochemical methods such as measurement of corrosion potential, impedance and corrosion current density. The corrosion current densities of all samples (AC, AT and AH) submerged in 3% NaCl solution exhibited the smallest values compared to other salt solutions. However, in the case of lower values of salt solutions than 3% NaCl solution, the corrosion current density increased again because it makes easier for water, dissolved oxygen and chloride ion etc. to invade toward inner side of coating film due to increasing of the osmotic pressure than 3% NaCl solution, but in the case of higher values of salt solutions than 3% NaCl solution, the coating film is easily deteriorated due to high concentration of chloride ion rather than the osmotic pressure, which resulted in increasing the corrosion current density. In particular, the AC sample indicated the best corrosion resistance in 6% NaCl solution compared to other samples. Consequently, it is considered that the corrosion mechanism of the coated steel plate is completely different from bare steel plate, and the corrosion resistance of coating film by osmotic pressure and chloride ion depend on various types of epoxy of paint in NaCl solution.

발포알루미늄의 시공방법에 따른 흡음 특성에 관한 연구 (Sound absorption characteristics of foamed aluminum considering installing on the wall and in the space)

  • 발포알루미늄은 친환경 재료로서, 재활용이 가능하며 화재에 안전하여 선박과 해양구조물에 사용되는 흡음재로서 우수한 특성을 가지고 있다. 지금까지 발포알루미늄은 발포율에 따른 흡음성능에 관한 연구가 주로 이루어져 왔다. 발포알루미늄은 기존에 사용되어 왔던 글래스 울, 락 울 등과 같은 섬유질 흡음재와 비교할 때, 강도면에서 우수하기 때문에 다양한 방법으로 시공할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 공간 내에서 발포알루미늄의 다양한 사용 방법을 고려하여 흡음특성에 대한 실험을 실시하였다. 또한 마감재로 페인트 칠에 따른 특성을 포함하여, 양면흡음재로서 사용될 경우 벽면에 수직으로 세워서 시공한 구조와 공중에 매달아 수평으로 시공한 구조에 대한 흡음특성의 변화에 대해 실험적 방법으로 분석하였다.

대형 고속 선박용 러더의 내침식, 부식 특성 향상을 위한 용사 코팅막 (Thermal Spray Coating Layer for Improvement of Erosion and Corrosion Resistance Applicable to Large Sized High Speed Ship's Rudder)

  • Rudder, one of the most important component in the marine vessel, is now being decreased life time to serve due to cavitation erosion, vortex current, high flow speed suffer from ship speed going up dramatically. In this study, 10 kinds of thermal spray coating materials(2 of Zn alloy series, 3 of Al alloy series, 3 of Cu alloy series, 2 of STS alloy series) are chosen to apply on specimens and analyze micro structure, metallic composition, properties(porosity, oxidation) by using visual observation, XRD, EDX etc.. Additionally, to refine the characteristic of corrosion endurance for thermal spray coating layer, compared with thermal spray process and 5 kinds of heavy duty painting and AC paint (Anti-Corrosion Paint). Based on above mentioned experimental results, a priority of all coated specimens on corrosion-erosion endurances finalized and summarized there by desirable composition and process of thermal sprayed material properly.

조선 산업에서 프로세스 마이닝을 이용한 블록 이동 프로세스 분석 프레임워크 개발 (Analysis Framework using Process Mining for Block Movement Process in Shipyards)

  • In a shipyard, it is hard to predict block movement due to the uncertainty caused during the long period of shipbuilding operations. For this reason, block movement is rarely scheduled, while main operations such as assembly, outfitting and painting are scheduled properly. Nonetheless, the high operating costs of block movement compel task managers to attempt its management. To resolve this dilemma, this paper proposes a new block movement analysis framework consisting of the following operations: understanding the entire process, log clustering to obtain manageable processes, discovering the process model and detecting exceptional processes. The proposed framework applies fuzzy mining and trace clustering among the process mining technologies to find main process and define process models easily. We also propose additional methodologies including adjustment of the semantic expression level for process instances to obtain an interpretable process model, definition of each cluster's process model, detection of exceptional processes, and others. The effectiveness of the proposed framework was verified in a case study using real-world event logs generated from the Block Process Monitoring System (BPMS).

PDA 및 GPS를 이용한 옥외 작업장 블록 위치 추적 시스템 개발 (Prototype of Block Tracing System for Pre-Erection Area using PDA and GPS)

  • There are hundreds of ship blocks which are under the block assembly, painting, and outfitting assembly works in the pre-erection shops of shipyard. Generally, each block is planned to be processed in a pre-erection shop according to the block type by the long-term production-scheduling before six months. However, many blocks can't be processed in the planned time and the planned shop since the before and after block-processing changes or delays the planned sequential works in pre-erection shops. Therefore, it is essential to monitor the current location of each block and work in process to cope with the changed situation of pre-erection shops. Present study integrates PDA, GPS, and CDMA not only to chase the location of each block but also to exchange the pre-erection work order and the work report between the production-scheduling server and the production managers in the pre-erection shops. This study shows a prototype for the block tracing and process monitoring in the pre-erection shops.

선박용 피도물 도료 사용량 절감을 위한 인식 및 스프레이 자동제어시스템 개발 (Development of Automatic Recognition and Spray Control System for Reducing the Amount of Marine Coating paint)

  • The first aim of the study is to improve the productivity by uniformizing the thickness of coating and reducing quality-inspection time. The second aim is to cut down on the raw materials for coating by prevent the waste of spraying in the air during a painting process through a real-time coating-size-recognition monitering to fit the target components. To achieve the two aims, a simplified version of automatic coating control system for recognition of coating for vessels and Spray. With the sytem, following effects are expected: First, quality improvement will be achieved by uniformizing the film-thickness. Second, it will reduce the waste of coating paint by constructing the speed of the coating, the spray gun robot transfer time, and the number of DBs according to the size of the vessel. Third, as a 3D industry, it will be able to solve the difficulty of supply of labors and save up the labor costs. Therefore, in the future, further research will be needed to be applied to various products with DB design that designates the variable value, which is added for each type of pieces by comparing the difference between various types of workpieces and linear ones.

도장전처리 작업을 위한 블라스팅 로봇 시스템 개발 및 성능평가 (Development and Performance Evaluation of Hull Blasting Robot for Surface Pre-Preparation for Painting Process)

  • 본 논문은 선박의 외벽 청소를 위하여 영상기반의 용접부 인식기능을 탑재한 선체 블라시팅 로봇을 제시하였다. 본 로봇제작의 목표로서 선체 청소로봇의 설계 및 제작과정과 영상을 이용한 용접 비드 인식에 따른 성능 결과를 제시하였다. 그리고, 로봇제작에 따른 메카니즘과 로봇시스템의 제어기 제작 과정과 수직상승 메카니즘, 영상 시스템, 원격제어 기능을 갖는 선체 청소 특성에 대해서 기술하였다. 이러한 선체 청소로봇은 선박이 정박하는 동안에 청소를 수행하게 되므로 재도킹을 할 필요가 없는 장점이 있다. 따라서, 개발된 청소작업은 시간과 비용을 절감할 수 있고, 선체의 수직벽면의 주행이 가능하므로 부유물질 등을 수집할 수 있는 필러장치를 장착하고 있다. 개발된 로봇시스템의 동작 및 통신 성능테스트 결과를 통하여 성능평가 결과를 제시하였다.
