AOI 데이터를 이용한 효과적인 Defect Size Distribution 구축방법: 반도체와 LCD생산 응용 (Effective Construction Method of Defect Size Distribution Using AOI Data: Application for Semiconductor and LCD Manufacturing)

  • Defect size distribution is a probability density function for the defects that occur on wafers or glasses during semiconductor/LCD fabrication. It is one of the most important information to estimate manufacturing yield using well-known statistical estimation methods. The defects are detected by automatic optical inspection (AOI) facilities. However, the data that is provided from AOI is not accurate due to resolution of AOI and its defect detection mechanism. It causes distortion of defect size distribution and results in wrong estimation of the manufacturing yield. In this paper, I suggest a size conversion method and a maximum likelihood estimator to overcome the vague defect size information of AOI. The methods are verified by the Monte Carlo simulation that is constructed as similar as real situation.

  • Efficiency evaluation methods of manufacturing processes have relied on absolute measures such as defective rate and throughput per person, ignoring various process characteristics. To overcome the limitation, we propose an evaluation model which reflects characteristics of each process. It is composed of three measures : utilization, performance, and improvement. The suggested model utilizes a combination of DEA and AHP methods. The proposed method has been applied to efficiency evaluation of cellular phone case manufacturing processes.

  • Computer aided process planning(CAPP) is a key for implementing CIM. It is bridge between CAD and CAM and translates the design information into manufacturing instructions. Generally, manufacturing is an area where intelligent systems will not be able to rely on methods requiring formalized knowledge. Manufacturing lacks a body of knowledge that is specific, formalized, and rigorous, and which can be coded as rules or procedures. Thus expertise in manufacturing is developed over a period of many years. Case-based reasoning(CBR) offers a new approach for developing intelligent system. In the case-based approach the problem solving experience of the experts is encoded in the form of cases. CBR's retrieval process can be divided to two step. The first step is matching step, and the second step is selection step. For selecting base case, new preference heuristics were introduced using similarity concept. Similarity concept has three has three dimensions, i.e. entity similarity, structural similarity, and goal similarity. In this paper, bolt's process planning was selected an application domain. Following the test result, the new preference heuristics were approved as a useful procedure in CAPP.

  • The application of computers and information technologies progressed with remarkable pace has paved the way for technological innovation toward the efficient integration of various functions in a manufacturing system. Actually it is observed that the greater part of manufacturing companies already initiated significant efforts to integrate information systems and attained the level of integration to some extent. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the strategic direction that manufacturing firms are pursuing through integrating information systems. Using the extensive data gathered from Japanese manufacturers, it is attempted to find the differences in competitive priorities and action programmes between the companies with high and low-level system integration. Our empirical data reveals that the manufacturers with highly integrated system are focusing their competitive capabilities on the rapid design change and new product introduction, and accordingly they place a greater emphasis on the action programmes related to design, process and quality improvement. As a conclusion, highly integrated firms tend to pursue new product development strategy more intensively, thereby they want to be a preemptor in the new market through exploiting technological advantages of integrated manufacturing system.

  • A various quality data are produced during nuclear fuel fabrication. In order to control quality data efficiently, Computerization of Quality Information System(QIS) using personal computer was established. Database control software and analysis software were developed for QIS. QIS was applied the fuel manufacturing and quality inspection. Quality trend analysis, process control, process capability and quality history docket for nuclear fuel manufacturing were performed by QIS. Through the Quality Information System, quality assurance, quality control, process control and manufacturing engineering were performed efficiently in nuclear fuel manufacturing.

  • Businesses and manufacturing have benefited from the evolution of digital information technology. The introduction of e-commerce has changed the way companies are conducted, and the manufacturing industry is using emerging technologies to automate and synchronize production processes in order to increase productivity and profitability. The results of the study show that incorporating the internet into e-commerce has transformed the process, making it one of the most advanced and high users of digital technology. E-commerce has advanced by leaps and bounds, allowing products and services to flow electronically with minimal delays. Manufacturing has benefited from the implementation of IoT, which has increased the productivity of production processes and is gradually becoming a major beneficiary of modern computer technology.

모듈러 주거시설의 단위유닛 제작품질 확보를 위한 공장제작도서 개선 연구 (Improvement of Manufacturing Drawings for Manufacturing Quality Assurance of Modular Housing Unit)

  • In modular architecture, manufacturing drawing which includes whole information for modular unit production is essential since works for modular unit have to be performed in manufacturing factory not construction field. Although the manufacturing drawing is important as known it is insufficient to utilize the manufacturing drawing in modular architecture project and this makes modular unit low-quality with re-work and work time delay. To prevent low-quality modular unit caused by insufficient manufacturing drawing, in this research firstly manufacturing drawing's current situation and error cases in manufacturing phase of past modular housing project were analyzed, and correlation between reduction of errors occurance frequency and improving manufacturing drawing was verified. Secondly manufacturing drawing improvement factors were deducted in interior, furniture, mechanical work phase which errors' occurance rate is high and the way of deducting manufacturing drawing lists and contents were suggested with light-weight work as an example in case of new type of errors occurance. A series of research process can contribute to good-quality modular unit by errors reduction. As a result of research, about half of errors occurance can be reduced with suggested manufacturing drawing improvement factors. And the manufacturing drawing process can contribute to modular production which have uniform quality.

  • 생산관리 시스템은 생산 공정 내의 모든 자원의 공정단위 생산계획을 현장에서 실행하는 것은 물론 생산 관련 품질 데이터까지 다루는 공장정보화시스템이다. 인공지능으로 자동화와 연결성이 극대화되는 4차 산업혁명이 화두가 되면서 제조업체들은 스마트 공장 구축에 관심을 보이나 막대한 구축비와 표준화되지 않은 생산 공정은 스마트 공장구축에 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 그래서 본 논문은 노후화된 공장에서 스마트 공장 구축을 위한 제조관리 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. 철강 선재 공정을 위한 기초 수준의 스마트 공장을 목표로 Web 기반의 제조공정 시스템을 제안한다. 제안 시스템은 REST API를 사용하여 기존 구축된 ERP 시스템과의 연동을 원활히 지원할 것이며 다양한 기기와 다양한 브라우저에서 사용할 수 있도록 확장성을 고려할 것이다. 제안한 WoT 기반 생산관리시스템을 구현하여 실용성을 보이겠다.

  • Nowadays, most of the major manufacturing companies prepare their manufacturing schedule using package based solutions. Even though the accuracy of the detail scheduling result is high at implementation, however, it is low during maintenance period. The main cause of low accuracy during maintenance period is due to difficulties in maintaining the accurate level of master data. In this paper, we propose to easily maintain setup time, which is one of the most important factors required in master data to achieve good scheduling result, after changing job. This paper is mainly focused on how to deduce the factors that influence the setup time in a roll-based manufacturing field with print operations. For this purpose, we employed rule based algorithm and applied for deciding setup time for the existing product items. Likewise, it can be applied to new items without any complex setup procedures, and, finally, it displays the result of the real setup-time and calculated setup-time.

  • In the last ten years, manufacturing companies like GE, IBM, Motorola and service companies like GE Capital and CITIBANK have realized that Six Sigma has standed for quality reform movemant. Six Sigma management which makes the critic effects on the quality management have enlarged and applied office indirect work process and service department as well beyond question manufacturing process. Then Can Six Sigma application methodology from manufacturing industry be applied to service industry without transformation? Can Six Sigma be applied on improvement of Information system quality which is the critic key figure of current successful companies? These questions would be resolved by conducting researches about application and evaluation of Six Sigma on manufacturing industry and service industry. This paper will furnish information of Six Sigma's new function for future business situation through comparing those researches
