퍼지 칼만 필터를 이용한 새로운 지능형 추적 알고리즘 (A New Intelligent Tracking Algorithm Using Fuzzy Kalman Filter)

  • 표적의 상태를 추정하기 위해 사용된 칼만 필터는 급 기동을 하거나 비선형적인 운동특성을 가지는 표적이 발생할 때, 모델은 상당한 오차를 유발하며 추적 성능은 현저히 저하될 수 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 기동하는 표적을 추정하기 위한 새로운 지능형 추정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 유전 알고리즘에 기반한 퍼지 칼만 필터를 이용하여 실제 알지 못하는 표적의 가속도를 전체 프로세스 잡음으로 추정한 후, 보정된 필터의 잔여치와 변화를 이용한 퍼지 시스템으로 새로운 퍼지 이득을 추출하여 측정 예측 오차를 보정함으로써 한 개의 필터로 표적 움직임의 비선형성을 효과적으로 다룰 수 있다. 제안된 기법의 우수성을 검증하기 위해서 다중 모델 기법을 사용한 필터와 비교 모의실험을 하였다.

  • The deep ocean engineering basin (DOEB) of the Korea Research Institute of Ship and Ocean Engineering (KRISO) is equipped with an extreme-environment reproduction facility that can analyze the motion characteristics of offshore structures and ships. In recent years, there have been requirements for a wide range of six-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) motion measurements for performing maneuvering tests and free-running tests of target objects (offshore structures or ships). This study introduces the process of developing a wide-area motion measurement technology by incorporating the auto-tracking technology of the towing carriage system to overcome the existing 6-DOF motion measurement limitation. To realize a wide range of motion measurements, the automatic tracking control system of the towing carriage in the DOEB was designed as a speed control method. To verify the control performance, the characteristics of the towing carriage according to the variation in control gain were analyzed. Finally, a wide range of motions was tested using a model test object (a remotely operated vehicle (ROV)), and the wide-area motion measurement technology was implemented using an automatic tracking control system for a towing carriage.

  • 본 논문은 위상배열 레이더를 사용하여 실제표적을 추적하였을 때 추적 정확도를 평가하기 위한 알고리듬 연구이다. 실표적에 대한 추적 정확도를 평가하기 위해서는 실표적 위치에 대한 정보가 있어야 하지만, 시험비용 및 시험시간의 증대로 인해 위상배열 레이더에서 획득된 데이터만을 사용하여 실표적의 정확도를 평가하는 알고리듬을 제시한다. 이러한 평가 알고리듬은 위상배열 레이더에서 사용된 ${\alpha}-{\beta}$ 추적필터의 잔차로부터 추적 정확도의 지표인 거리오차와 각도 오차의 표준편차를 도출한 결과이며, 통계적 방법으로 sample variance 개념을 사용하게 된다.

  • 소형 추적 레이다 시스템은 고속으로 기동 중인 작은 레이다 단면적(RCS:Radar Cross Section)을 갖는 항공기 표적에 대하여 실시간으로 표적을 탐색, 탐지하여 추적하는 펄스 방식의 레이다 추적 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 레이다 시스템 성능을 실험실 무반향 챔버 환경에서 확인하기 위한 종합 성능시험 장비 개발에 대하여 서술한다. 레이다 시스템의 실험실 환경에서 성능을 확인하기 위한 항공기 표적 신호를 모사하기 위한 모의 표적 신호 생성을 포함한 요구사항을 충족하기 위한 종합 성능 시험 장비의 설계 및 제작에 대하여 기술한다. 또한 추적 레이다 시스템과 연동 시험을 통하여 성능을 확인하기 위한 GUI(Graphic User Interface) 프로그램을 기술한다. 성능시험을 통해 구현한 종합 성능시험 장비를 검증한다.

Design of a new command to line-of-sight guidance law via feedback linearization technique

  • This paper describes the application of the recently developed feedback linearization technique to the design of a new command to line-of-sight (CLOS) guidance law for skid-to-turn (STT) missiles. The key idea lies in converting the three dimensional CLOS guidance problem to the tracking problem of a time-varying nonlinear system. Then, using a feeedback linearizing approach to tracking in nonlinear systems, we design a three dimensional CLOS guidance law that can ensure zero miss distance for a randomly maneuvering target. Our result may shed new light on the role of the feedforward acceleration terms used in the earlier CLOS guidance laws. Furthermore, we show that the new CLOS guidance law can be computationally simplified without performance degradation. This is made possible by dropping out the terms in the new CLOS guidance law, which obey the well-known matching condition.

외부짐발 선구동에 의한 EOTS의 기동성 개선 (Maneuverability Improvement of EOTS by Driving the Outer Gimbal First)

  • An EOTS (Electro-Optical Tracking System) provides stabilized images while tracking a moving target. This paper presents a novel concept of driving the outer gimbal first for improving the maneuverability of an EOTS, contrary to the conventional inner gimbal mode. It has the advantages of faster positioning performance and stable operation in Nadir-point. Analysis of frequency responses reveal that the present scheme results in a wider control bandwidth and larger gain margin, compared to those of the previous one. The actual experimental results confirm that the maneuvering is stable although the input command has a large angular acceleration.

  • An input estimation technique is derived in multi-sensor environment. The proposed approach distribute the computational burden of input estimation to each local sensor and fusion center without loss of its optimality. The performances of proposed method in 2-sensor system are compared with those in single sensor system. Simulation results show that a reliable maneuvering target tracking system can be constructed in multi-sensor environment via proposed approach.

Optimization of the Gain Parameters in a Tracking Module for ARPA system on Board High Dynamic Warships

  • The tracking filter plays a key role in the accurate estimation and prediction of maneuvering a vessel's position and velocity when attempting to enhance safety by avoiding collision. Therefore, in order to achieve accurate estimation and prediction, many oceangoing vessels are equipped with the Automatic Radar Plotting Aid (ARPA) system. However, the accuracy of prediction depends on the tracking filter's ability to reduce noise and maintain a stable transient response. The purpose of this paper is to derive the optimal values of the gain parameters used in tracking a High Dynamic Warship. The algorithm employs a ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}$ filter to provide accurate estimates and updates of the state variables, that is, positions, velocity and acceleration of the high dynamic warship based on previously observed values. In this study, the filtering coefficients ${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$ and ${\gamma}$ are determined from set values of the damping parameter, ${\xi}$. Optimization of the damping parameter, ${\xi}$, is achieved experimentally by plotting the residual error against different values of the damping parameter to determine the least value of the damping parameter that results in the optimum smoothing coefficients leading to a reduction in the noise corruption effect. Further investigation of the performance of the filter indicates that optimal smoothing coefficients depend on the initial and average velocity of the target.

부산 북항에서 VTS 시스템에 의한 출입항 선박의 접이안 작업과정의 실시간 모니터링 (Real-time monitoring of berthing/deberthing operations process for entering/leaving vessels using VTS system in Busan northern harbor, Korea)

  • The process of berthing/deberthing operations for entering/leaving vessels in Busan northern harbor was analyzed and evaluated by using an integrated VTS(vessel traffic service) system installed in the ship training center of Pukyong National University, Busan, Korea. The integrated VTS system used in this study was consisted of ARPA radar, ECDIS(electronic chart display and information system), backup(recording) system, CCTV(closed-circuit television) camera system, gyro-compass, differential GPS receiver, anemometer, AIS(automatic identification system), VHF(very high frequency) communication system, etc. The network of these systems was designed to communicate with each other automatically and to exchange the critical information about the course, speed, position and intended routes of other traffic vessels in the navigational channel and Busan northern harbor. To evaluate quantitatively the overall dynamic situation such as maneuvering motions for target vessel and its tugboats while in transit to and from the berth structure inside a harbor, all traffic information in Busan northern harbor was automatically acquired, displayed, evaluated and recorded. The results obtained in this study suggest that the real-time tracking information of traffic vessels acquired by using an integrated VTS system can be used as a useful reference data in evaluating and analyzing exactly the dynamic situation such as the collision between ship and berth structure, in the process of berthing/deberthing operations for entering/leaving vessels in the confined waters and harbor.

지능형 운전보조시스템을 위한 IMM 기법을 이용한 전방차량 거동추정기법 (Neighboring Vehicle Maneuver Detection using IMM Algorithm for ADAS)

  • In today's automotive industry, there exist several systems that help drivers reduce the possibility of accidents, such as the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). The ADAS helps drivers make correct and quick decisions during dangerous situations. This study analyzed the performance of the IMM (Interacting Multiple Model) method based on multiple Kalman filters using the data acquired from a driving simulator. An IMM algorithm is developed to identify the current discrete state of neighboring vehicles using the sensor data and the vehicle dynamics. In particular, the driving modes of the neighboring vehicles are classified by the cruising and maneuvering modes, and the transition between the states is modeled using a Markovian switching coefficient. The performance of the IMM algorithm is analyzed through realistic simulations where a target vehicle executes sudden lane change or acceleration maneuver.
