The purpose of this study was to analyze the importance-performance of clinical nutrition management in convalescent hospitals. The research was carried out based on questionnaires administered from March to April, 2015 to 73 dietitians at 40 convalescent hospitals in the Gyeongnam area. There was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores for importance (4.01/5.00) and performance (2.95/5.00) of clinical nutrition management. The importance and performance grid analysis showed that participation in a nutritional management committee, administration of patients using a cooperation program among hospital departments, cooperation with a medical team on patient's nutrition status, nutrition initial assessment, nutrition care process for patients showing malnutrition, nutrition care process for tube feeding patients, management of a therapeutic diet, meal management using dietary slip instructions including a therapeutic diet, and explication of a therapeutic diet for patients scored high regarding importance and performance (doing great area). Medical records on patient's nutrition management, and nutrition counseling for requested patient scored low regarding the importance and high regarding performance (overdone area). Participation in medical rounds, personal nutrition education for patients, group nutrition education for patients, nutrition education for medical teams, development of a menu for therapeutic diet and standardized recipes, and provision of information on diet therapy for patients after discharge scored low regarding importance and performance (low priority area). Accreditation of convalescent hospitals and interest of medical professionals in clinical nutrition management were effective variables for the importance-performance gap of clinical nutrition management. In conclusion, the accreditation process and positive awareness of medical professionals with regard to clinical nutrition management had positive effects on reduction of the importance-performance gap in clinical nutrition management at convalescent hospitals. The strength of clinical nutrition management in the accreditation and development of an education program for increasing medical team or administrator interest in clinical nutrition management could lead to improvement of clinical nutrition management for elderly patients in convalescent hospitals.
This study was targeted on the Korean, Chinese, and Japanese parents of preschoolers to investigate the importance and satisfaction of foodservice quality and the importance and performance of foodservice management of the preschool foodservice establishments. The present study conducted a survey on 390 randomly chosen parents of preschoolers (130 Korean, 130 Chinese, and 130 Japanese). Respondents' importance-satisfaction of foodservice quality characteristics and their importance-performance of foodservice management were measured. In order to test for differences between the groups, paired t-test, one way ANOVA, and IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) were performed. The results were as follows. The importance of foodservice quality was significantly higher than the satisfaction on all items, according to the parents of Korea, China, and Japan. The importance of foodservice quality was higher in Korean parents than in Chinese and Japanese parents. According to ISA results with foodservice quality characteristics, the characteristics with relatively low satisfaction but high importance (II quadrant) was 'Diversity of menu' in both Korean and Chinese parents, and 'Sanitation of tables and chairs' in both Korean and Japanese parents. The importance of foodservice management was significantly higher than performance on all items in Korean, Chinese and Japanese parents. The performance of foodservice management was higher in Chinese than in Japanese and Korean parents. According to IPA results with foodservice management, the management with relatively low performance but high importance (II quadrant) was 'Preparation' in Korean parents, and 'Facility and equipment' in Japanese parents. Therefore, the items with relatively low satisfaction (performance) and high importance should be well-managed.
Purpose: Determination of the importance values of quality attributes is very important to integrate the Kano model with QFD. A new method to determine the importance values of quality attributes is proposed. Methods: ASC(Average Satisfaction Coefficient) is proposed in order to determine the importance values of quality attributes. To evaluate the effectiveness of ASC, a case study of modern TV sets is conducted, and the performance of ASC is compared with direct importance evaluation and AHP pairwise comparisons. Results: The result of ASC application is similar with those of direct importance evaluation and AHP pairwise comparison. Conclusion: ASC is an effective instrument to determine the importance values of quality attributes. It doesn't need a cumbersome process like AHP pairwise comparison, and can be calculated using the data for the conventional Kano model.

Finally, in type of industry, manufactural firm's degree of relative importance among the success factors of knowledge management in Korean firms has been found as: (i)top management's will, (ii)organizational culture, (iii)evaluation-reward, (iv)knowledge management system, (v)organizational structure. And non-manufactural firm's degree of relative importance among the success factors of knowledge management in Korean firms are: (i)top management's will, (ii)organizational culture, (iii)evaluation-reward, (iv)knowledge management system, (v)organizational structure.
The objectives of this study were to assign reasonability to importance of weight selection issue in key performance indicator for performance evaluation of Centers for Child-care Foodservice Management (CCFSM) developed by using Balanced Scorecard (BSC), to draw key performance indicator (KPI) by perspective and to analyze differences in recognition on importance. From September 25 to October 9, 2012, we conducted a questionnaire-based study via e-mail, targeting chiefs and team leaders of nationwide 21 CCFSMs (43 persons), officials of local governments where CCFSM was established (21 persons), officials of Korea Food and Drug Administration (2 persons) and foodservice management experts (27 persons) in order to estimate the relative importance on 4 perspectives and 14 KPIs and analyzed its results by using 61 collected data. The results showed that relative importance of perspectives was estimated in order of importance as follows: business performance (0.3519), customer (0.3393), resource (0.1557), learning and growth (0.1531). Relative importance of KPIs was in order of importance as follows: Evaluation of sanitary management level in child-care foodservice facilities (0.1327), Level of customer recognition and behavior improvement (0.1153), performances of round visiting inspection on foodservice, sanitary, safety management, and foodservice consulting (0.0913). Our results showed that the recognition differences exist on the relative importance of perspectives and KPIs between officials of CCFSM, KFDA, local government and foodservice management experts. These observations will form the basis for developing evaluation systems, and it is considered that performance indicators developed on this basis will suggest direction of operation which CCFSM will have to perform.

As the construction industry has recently transitioned to smart construction, the importance of project management using Building Information Modeling(BIM) is increasing. BIM and Construction Management(CM) share integrated management of various information that may arise in a project, allowing BIM to be utilized in various ways in CM. In this study, an Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) survey was conducted targeting BIM users at CM companies. The items of the AHP survey were divided into company-level factors and project-stage factors of BIM to measure utilization. This study analyzes the importance of BIM utilization factors used by CM companies through an AHP survey of BIM users and identifies the current status of the most utilized BIM. As a result of the AHP survey of company-level factors, the BIM application project showed the highest importance for BIM activation in CM. Furthermore, as a result of the AHP survey of factors by project stage, constructability review, interference review, and design change management showed the highest importance in that order. This implies that for BIM to be activated, CM companies need to increase the number of BIM-applied projects. Additionally, besides the factors most commonly used in current practice, there is a need to examine whether there are fewer factors utilizing BIM in a variety of applications. This study is expected to contribute to the activation and introduction of BIM in future construction project management.
