Analysis of Consulting Research Trends Using Topic Modeling (토픽 모델링을 활용한 컨설팅 연구동향 분석)

  • 'Consulting', which is the main research topic of the knowledge service industry, is a field of study that is essential for the growth and development of companies and proliferation to specialized fields. However, it is difficult to grasp the current status of international research related to consulting, mainly on which topics are being studied, and what are the latest research topics. The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends of academic research related to 'consulting' by applying quantitative analysis such as topic modeling and statistic analysis. In this study, we collected statistical data related to consulting in the Scopus DB of Elsevier, which is a representative academic database, and conducted a quantitative analysis on 15,888 documents. We scientifically analyzed the research trends related to consulting based on the bibliographic data of academic research published all over the world. Specifically, the trends of the number of articles published in the major countries including Korea, the author key word trend, and the research topic trend were compared by country and year. This study is significant in that it presents the result of quantitative analysis based on bibliographic data in the academic DB in order to scientifically analyze the trend of academic research related to consulting. Especially, it is meaningful that the traditional frequency-based quantitative bibliographic analysis method and the text mining (topic modeling) technique are used together and analyzed. The results of this study can be used as a tool to guide the direction of research in consulting field. It is expected that it will help to predict the promising field, changes and trends of consulting industry related research through the trend analysis.

  • This study applied the BSC performance consulting experience and diverse variable factors and whether there any differences in terms of satisfaction and the relationship between the support for the government consulting firm specializing in human resources by the resident of the innovation cluster area was investigated through empirical research. According to the study, a new high in recent local government support Consulting Consulting satisfaction by professionals residing in the area that applies to industrial clusters leads to practical consultancy, which was being evaluated as a significant boon to real performance of the company.

  • This Study is to verify that Consulting firm's brand plays a mediating role in consulting expertise, experience utilizing, and word of mouth intention. The results of study show that firstly, Consulting expertise and experience utilizing have a positive effect on word of mouth intention, and secondly Consulting firm's brand have also a positive effect on the mediating role in the relationship between consulting expertise & experience utilizing, and of mouth intention. This study have a significant meaning to ascertain that word of mouth intention should enhance the value of consulting firm's brand with first priority, and importance of consulting expertise and experience utilizing should be recognized, and the values of consulting expertise and experience utilizing be enhanced by consulting firm's brand.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the current status of 30 restaurants targeted for customized-visit consulting. For this process, experts visited restaurants and conducted consulting to improve the effectiveness of management for restaurants. A frequency analysis was used for general details, and a questionnaire survey was conducted to consult employees and customer groups. The analysis and consulting results were as follows: Firstly,menu need to be improved through restaurants' sanitary state and menu quality improvement. New menu should be developed through continuous training for restaurant operators, the relevant organizations, and cooking skill experts. Secondly, restaurants' cooking skill and knowledge should be secured by training of restaurant operators from the relevant organizations and experts to acquire cooking skills. In conclusion, restaurants' capability needs to be consolidated through persistent and cyclical process to maintain competitive menus and cooking skills. The results also showed that employee group's MOT, foods, menu, and facility education/training should be fortified. In order to reinvigorate the restaurant industry, marketers need to offer continuous education/training and consulting for employees to improve their satisfaction.

  • This study was carried out to verify application motive for consulting upon the path between quality perception and use of results in the government-supported convergence consulting service on SMEs. A survey was conducted on SMEs which went through government-supported consulting, with the following results of the study. First, it turned out that the perception of the quality of consultant's performance and the perception of the quality of the government support have a positive impact on the perception of the quality of consulting results. Second, the perception of the quality of consultant's performance has a positive impact on the use of consulting results. Third, it was proved that the perception of the quality of the government support has no impact on the use of consulting results. Fourth, it was demonstrated that the perception of the quality of consulting results has a positive impact on the use of consulting results. Fifth, it turned out that there is a difference in paths of non-voluntary application group and application group and application group for consulting service. This study implies that it is necessary to reinforce consultant's competence, government support system and voluntary application for consulting.

  • This study empirically examined which factors facilitate or disturb the learning and practical knowledge transfer in consulting and which factors have most powerful influence on the learning and transfer of consulting knowledge. Analysing 160 data collected from FTA origin managers in export companies, the study findings show the ambiguity(-), complexity(+), consulting competences(+), intervention design and delivery(+), self-efficacy(+) and government subsidies(+) significantly affected on Client's learning, while consultant's expertise(+), consulting involvement(+), transfer culture(+) significantly affected on consulting knowledge transfer, respectively. It showed that consulting competence and causal ambiguity have an greater influence on learning while consultant's expertise has a greater influence on consulting knowledge transfer, respectively. The findings implicate that consulting success depends on rather consultant's factors(consultant's expertise and consulting competence) than client's input factors. To succeed in consulting project, it is important that the consultants effectively develop and apply consulting methods & tools as shared interfaces between consultant and client.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of financial structure on management performance for financial consulting through 562 small and medium sized enterprises in GyeongIn area. Meanwhile, the independent variables are non current assets ratio, total assets turnover ratio and debt ratio, the dependent variables are operating profit on sale and net profit on equity. Generally speaking, the financial structure have a positive effects on management performance.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out how any organizational response or dispute-related consulting has a significant impact on management performance before or during a dispute over a construction subcontract dispute. In this study, multiple regression models were used to analyze the impact on consulting performance. According to the result of the analysis, the positive effects on the overall external consulting effect is influenced by five variables such as financial values, increase of the number of disputes, construction of response system by contents, construction of response system in each period, dispute response external response system. The original business operators were also more likely to be affected by internal activities of conflict response companies and the extent to which external response systems were established. This means that the supply and demand service provider's business environment is relatively poor, forcing it to be lower than the internal and external activities and influences of the original business operators of the conglomerates.
