An Effect of Work and Life Balance of Startup: Focus on Organizational Pride and Job Satisfaction (창업기업의 일과 삶의 균형 효과: 조직 자부심과 업무 만족)

  • It is important for the Startup team to enhance their employee's work & life balance in recent ages. this study is to research the effect of work & life balance on organizational pride, job satisfaction and performance. Also, we explore how the organizational climate which compose with autonomy, leader's support and trust affects work & life balance. This study analyzed the path effect with PLS method using data from 151 Startup teams. The results of analysis are as follows. First, it was confirmed that supervisor's support, trust of team climate positively influence work & life balance but autonomy is not confirmed to have the relationship with work & life balance. Second, work & life balance have a positive effect on organizational pride and job satisfaction. In addition, this study shows that organizational pride and job satisfaction have the relationship between work & life balance and team performance. Also, Startup team managing the work & life balance will get better performance and retain the competition.

  • Construction inspection and monitoring are key activities in construction projects. Automation of inspection tasks improves the limitations and inefficiencies of manual construction inspections, enabling systematic and consistent construction inspections. In this paper, an RTSP (Real-Time Streaming Protocol) system is used to remotely manage and supervise the construction site without having to visit the construction site by deploying a robot on site on behalf of four construction stakeholders (owner, supervisor, constructor, and designer). I would like to propose. The proposed system can contribute to identifying and monitoring the process process and work results at the construction site in real time.

An Empirical Study on the Burnout of Nurses Based on the Job Demand-Control Model (직무요구-통제 모형에 의한 간호사의 소진(Burnout)에 관한 연구)

  • Based on the Job Demand-Control model which was proposed by R. A. Karasek, this study was designed to investigate the relationships among job demand, job control, and job burnout of nurses. In addition, the other aim of the present study was to test the moderating or buffering role of social supports in the relationship between the job demand and job burnout. The analysis based on data collected from 239 nurses who are working in two general hospitals has produced the following results. We found that job demand was primarily related to the exhaustion component of burnout, whereas (lack of) job control was related to the disengagement dimension of burnout. And social supports from the supervisor attenuated the disengagement, whereas social supports from the colleague diminished the exhaustion. But, we found no interaction effects that were expected in the hypotheses. Specifically, social supports didn't buffer the negative effects of job demand on burnout, while job control had the moderating effect which was in opposite direction. The implications of these analyses and limitations of the study were then discussed.

  • we classified major changes into changes based on design deficiency, changes based on the different conditions between job site and contract documents, and changes based on the Owner's need. Then we compare and analyzed applicable regulations for supervision and work performance status at the site, and elicit problems of supervision performance based on mutual contradiction in regulations, bringing up a similar example. Based on the above, we brought up a way of improvement for the elicited problem, comparing and analyzing the laws/contract provisions/instructions related with the changes and the work performance at the jobsite, and verified through interviews with professionals of various fields for the improvement. Finally this study could elicit a way of improvement in the supervision work in conjunction with changes in civil works.

Identification and Prioritization of the Driving Factors of Labor Productivity in the Melli Bank: Iranian Scenario

  • Purpose - Labor productivity is extremely important to the profitability and competitive advantage of organizations that provide services to customers, such as banks. This study investigates the factors driving labor productivity in Iran's Melli Bank. Research design, data, methodology - Five managerial, psychosocial, cultural, and individual factors are identified and their relative importance for labor productivity prioritized using AHP. The required data are then collected through a questionnaire designed for a pairwise comparison of the driving factors of labor productivity and their subcategories. Results - The study outcomes reveal that the managerial and individual factors are the most important. Specifically, the most important factors in increasing labor productivity in the branches of Melli Bank are having a competent supervisor, promotion opportunities, fair working conditions, conscientiousness, the right tools, and a correspondence between skills and work. Conclusions - Implementing AHP using Expert Choice software revealed that, among the driving factors of labor productivity (i.e., managerial, psychosocial, cultural, environmental, and personal), managerial factors were considered the most important by the respondents.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the variables affecting the quality of hospital dietary services. The quality of hospital dietary services was investigated in two ways, which can be named by factual quality and perceived quality The variables affecting hospital dietary services were classified into two categories, $\ulcorner$organizational environment variables$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$work behavior variables$\lrcorner$. Quality readiness survey was conducted to investigate $\ulcorner$organizational environment variables$\lrcorner$ and $\ulcorner$work behavior variables$\lrcorner$ on 225 dietitians working in dietary departments of 45 general hospitals which had more than 400 beds. $\ulcorner$Organizational environment variables$\lrcorner$ were categorized into four variable group:'organizational work design', 'organizational culture', 'department head leadership' and 'top management leadership'. $\ulcorner$Work behavior variables$\lrcorner$ were categorized into three variable group: 'individual behavior', 'peer group behavior', and 'behavior toward supervisor'. Top management leadership (p< 0.01)' in the $\ulcorner$organizational environment variables$\lrcorner$ had significant impacts on the factual quality of hospital dietary services.

  • Congress established the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) to ensure that the public has free access to the Government's information. Operated by the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO), the mission of the FDLP is to disseminate information products from all three branches of the Government to over 1,250 Depository libraries in the FDLP program nationwide. Depository libraries safeguard the American public's right to information by making Government information in all formats freely available. This paper discusses the role of the GPO and FDLP, the GPO's organizational structure, the Depository library's obligations and responsibilities, services and collections, referrals and networking, and the Depository's future and challenges.

Effects of Perceived Patient Safety Culture on Safety Nursing Activities in the General Hospital Nurse's (일 지역 종합병원 간호사의 환자안전문화 인식이 안전간호활동에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This descriptive correlation study was done to identify how perception of patient safety culture of general hospital nurses affects safety during nursing activities. Data from this study should provide information on management of patient safety as well as improvement in patient safety. Method: Participants in this study were 357 clinical nurses working in a general hospital in M city which had two medical evaluations. A survey was conducted to gather the data. Results: The score for perception of patient safety culture of the general hospital nurses was 3.42, out of a possible 5 points, and the score for safety care activities was 3.90. There was a statistically significant positive relationship between the nurses' perception of patient safety culture and their safety care activities, Perception of patient safety culture, Supervisor/manager, communication and procedures, and frequency of accident reporting were factors that impacted significantly on safety nursing activity. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that patient safety cultural perception significantly affects the safety of nursing activities and thus systematic educational strategies to increase perception should be provided to increase the level of patient safety culture. Also, other specific methods that increase the level of patient safety culture should be considered.

  • As it is keen competition of a construction market and the recognition that increases construction productivity for maintaining competitiveness, it is increased importance of an interest about productivity and efficiency in the construction industry. This study measures productivity through the instance of investigation that the existing productivity measurement method was utilized and presented a work improvement matter based on the measured contents. The proposed improvement matter is verified through a simulation technique. The purpose of this paper is for a field supervisor to have presented the way that a selection does the most suitable work method to be suitable for a situation, and can forecast production, though a simulation technique is not the most alternative that considered field condition in analyzing productivity measurement.

Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment of Medical Insurance Review Nurses (보험심사간호사의 직무만족과 직장애착에 관한 연구)

  • This study purports to Investigate the determinant of job satisfaction and the organizational commitment of medical insurance review nurses working at Korean hospitals. The independent variables contain three groups of determinants: organizational characteristics variables(job autonomy, work unit control, role variety, role ambiguity, role conflict, workload, resource inadequacy, coworker support, supervisor support, distributive justice, promotional chances, job security, and job hazard), environmental variables(job opportunity, spouse support, and parent support), and psychological variables (met expectation, work involvement, positive affectivity, and negative affectivity). The sample used in this study consisted of 445 medical insurance review nurses from 89 hospitals nationwide. Data were collected with self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of the study are as follows : 1) the following variables, listed in order of size, have significant effects on job satisfaction : role ambiguity(-), distributive justice(+), work involvement(+), role variety(+), met expectation(+), negative affectivity(-), job autonomy(+), and positive affectivity(+). 2) the following variables, listed in order of size, have significant effects on organizational commitment: met expectation(+), work involvement(.+), distributive justice(+), job security(+), role variety(+), positive affectivity(+), negative affectivity(-), resource inadequacy(+), and tenure(-). 3) the variance of job satisfaction and organizational commitment explained by the variables used in the study are 30.0% and 39.1% respectively. 4) In comparison to the results of other studies on the determinants of job satisfaction and organizational commitment of clinical nursing staff working at hospitals, the results of this study indicate that three variables of distributive justice, work involvement, and role variety are especially important for improving the level of job satisfaction and organizational commitment of medical insurance review nurses.
