본 논문에서는 건설경기가 규모별 건설업체 부실화에 미치는 영향을 벡터오차수정모형(VECM : Vector Error Correction Model)을 통해 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 KMV(Kealhofer, McQuown and Vasicek) 모형을 기반으로 산출하는 예상부도확률을 건설업체 부실화를 나타내는 대리변수로 정의하였다. 본 논문에서는 규모별로 예상부도확률을 측정하기 위해서 건설업체 상장기업 중 30개 업체를 선정하여 규모별로 상위 15개와 하위 15개로 구분하였다. 건설경기 변화를 대리하는 변수로 주거용, 비주거용, 토목용 건설수주액을 활용하였다. 각 변수들의 시계열 데이터는 한국상장회사협의회의 TS2000과 통계청 자료를 통해 확보하였다. 분석기간은 2001년 2분기부터 2015년 4분기까지로 설정하였다. 먼저 규모별 건설업체의 예상부도확률을 산출한 결과, 일반적으로 알려진 바와 같이 대형 건설업체가 상대적으로 규모가 작은 건설업체보다 부실화 정도가 낮은 것으로 확인되었다. 하지만 벡터오차수정모형을 기반으로 한 충격반응분석 결과 대규모 건설업체가 경기 변동에 더욱 민감하게 반응하며, 특히 대규모 건설업체 경영상태 변화에 주거용 건설시장 변화가 주요 요인인 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

In recent years, academic scholars and practitioners have given increasing attention to the importance of strategic performance measurement systems including both financial and non-financial performance metrics. The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is known as integrated performance management framework that helps an enterprise to translate strategic objectives into relevant performance within an organization. While the current literatures and management articles offer BSC design and implementation. there are few reports of detailed validation of using the rationalized sets of CSF (Critical Success Factors) and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) for the Korean construction industry. This paper first propose the perceived sets of CSF/KPI using current literatures and validate with a major construction company's executives and senior managers in Korea. The paper then examines whether the perceived sets of CSF/KPI have co-relationships with the firm performances. The results of the research contribute in heightening of competitiveness of the Korean construction companies in strategic and performance management.

The objective of this study was to conduct research and analysis using Group Focus Interview to survey the between construction site workers and managers implementing for the Severe Accident Punishment Act. Focused on measures to improve safety management effectiveness for the effectiveness of establishing a safety management system. A plan to improve the efficient safety management system was presented to 50 construction industrial managers and workers. In order to ensure the industrial accident prevention policies appropriately, it is necessary to be aware of safety obligations for workers as well as business operators. In addition, despite the existence of a commentary on the Serious Accident Punishment Act, confusion in the field still persists, so in the event of a major accidents, the obligation to take safety and health education is strengthened, and effective case education is proposed by teaching actual accident cases suitable for actual working sites. It is necessary to make all training mandatory, and it is necessary to reconsider awareness through writing a daily safety log, awareness of risk factors, etc., and writing down risk information. Above all, at the construction ordering stage, it is necessary to keep the construction safety, request corrections and supplements for problems issues that arise, and consult between the orderer and the construction company about the problems issues. Rather than having only the construction company correct or supplement the safety management plan, the contents should be shared with supervisors and workers to establish a more practical solution. Results of this study will contribute to improving the effectiveness of the serious accident and construction safety management system.

International construction market has been open to other countries, and it derives the development of our overseas construction industry quantitatively as well as qualitatively. Until now, the major companies have an absolute majority in the overseas construction market, and the small and medium enterprises have had difficulty to get a leadership in the international construction market because of the lack of the technical expertise and the capital strength. Especially in the Middle East Asia, our construction companies has touched off a boom, so our market share also has grown, which derived from the up toward ratchet oil prices and a worldwide boom in real estate development. The small and medium enterprise minority have recognition that the overseas construction market is the major company's native territory. But Data from the existing researches and many statistics indicate the most companies tend to underestimate the capacity and international competitiveness of the small and medium enterprises. As a matter of fact, hundreds of small and medium enterprise cut a conspicuous figure in overseas market. Consequently, it is indispensable to overcome the international financial crisis by revitalizing our overseas construction industry which obtains excellent results in international market. this study suggested the ways to expand overseas bonding capacity of Korean financial institution. This study proposed the Korean government to allow Construction Guarantee (former Korea Construction Financial Cooperative) to deal with foreign exchange so that Construction Guarantee will underwrite the overseas construction bond.

Since Lean Construction has been introduced as a new management approach to improve productivity in the construction industry, much research is in progress to develop lean concepts and principles for better implementation and to get results of the successful adaptation of lean ideas from manufacturing for application in the construction industry. Currently, several construction companies in the USA are starting to implement lean construction with nebulous hopes of obtaining better results from their current projects than from past projects not employing lean construction. There are many difficulties in adopting lean concepts and systems into construction projects and implementing lean construction in real construction sites. Thus, there are demands to share information how other companies implement lean construction, to identify the benefits and barriers of lean implementation in the construction fields, and finally to improve their lean implementation. This study was the first exploratory study to assess lean construction implementation on overall projects. The case studies carried out the examination of the mutual relationships of lean planning systems, organization structure, attitudes of project participants and company strategy which played major influences on successful lean implementation

본 연구는 건축사회환경공학부 대학생과 건설회사 노동자들을 대상으로 K-CESA 핵심역량 중 비인지적영역(자기관리역량, 대인관계역량)과 인지적 영역(의사소통역량, 종합적사고력)을 측정하고 분석했다. 건설회사 노동자 25명과 𐩒𐩒대학교 건축사회환경공학부 3, 4학년 대학생 36명 통 71명을 대상으로 K-CESA 진단평가를 실시했다. 집단간의 차이를 알아보기 위해 평균차이 검증인 일원변량분석(One-way ANOVA)을 실시했으며 사후검증으로 Scheffe 검증을 실시했다. 본 연구의 실증분석은 모두 유의수준 p<.05에서 검증했으며, 통계처리는 SPSS WIN. 23.0 프로그램을 사용해 분석했다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 건설회사 노동자와 건축사회환경공학부 학생간 다섯 가지 능력(자기관리역량의 목표지향적 계획수립 및 실행능력, 대인관계역량의 협력, 중재, 리더십능력, 의사소통역량의 말하기 능력 및 종합적사고력역량의 분석적사고력능력)에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 전문가 요구 분석 및 문헌 분석을 통해 대학생들에게 필요한 전문가 요구 분석과 문헌 분석을 통해 목표지향적 계획수립 및 실행능력과 분석적사고력능력을 향상시키기 위한 교육 프로그램을 설계했다. 후속 연구를 통해, 다양한 전공과 공공기관, 기업, 기타 조직 노동자의 역량을 비교하고 대학생을 위한 교과목 개발이 필요하다고 제언했다.

Proper pre-safety training is one of core mandatory in order to reduce injuries at the construction fields. In this study, we investigate the employee's opinions of safety training, safety recognition, the actual conditions of safety through survey. As a result of study, incident factors are roughly divided into technical factor, managerial factor, and educational factor. We confirmed that the educational factor led by deficiency of safety awareness and knowledge was the major factor. It needs to be resettled or revised properly to match with the incident trends and the safety training curriculum should also be improved and drastically revised with special quality. The managerial workers' safety recognition is lower than the site ones regarding the correct understanding of the importance of the training.. It suggest that the education method and system in construction fields might have fundamental problems.

This study examines the relationship between safety factors and health management systems based on accident statistics in the construction industry stipulated in the Serious Disaster Punishment Act. To determine the level of safety achieved by companies through their health management system, the top 1000 construction firms in the country were surveyed online. Four hundred sixty companies responded to the survey by providing their statistics on major accidents (mortality, accidental mortality, and injury rates). Statistical tests showed that companies with a team dedicated to the oversight of safety and health management had fewer accidents than those without one. Factor and regression analyses revealed that three factors affected the mortality and accident rates: safety and health plan, safety and health professionals, and safety and health activities. Moreover, two factors significantly influenced the injury rate: safety management supported by a cooperative company and implementation of on-site safety and health activities. The findings of this study can be used as a fundamental reference for further research and consultation on the formulation of safety and health management systems for construction companies.

Construction disasters have more distinctive characteristics than other industrial disasters. Since it is likely that construction disasters will spread to severe accidents, the accident mortality rate is very high compared to the disaster incidence rate. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the operation status of construction risk assessment by domestic large and medium sized construction companies to prepare improvement direction of risk assessment system. The survey results for safety management experts of construction companies are as follows: Large companies have developed and utilized risk assessment systems in their respective companies, while small and medium construction companies have developed and evaluated risk factors through the Excel program. Rather than performing risk assessment tasks based on historical safety accident data, construction companies have limitations in developing risk factors and preparing solutions with suppliers for each major construction. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare a risk assessment system in the future by analyzing the types of safety accidents, such as the safety accident data of each company as well as the safety accident data.

The architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry is beginning to utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM), benefiting from the resulting improved visualization and productivity, better coordination of construction drawings, building documents that contain embedded links to virtual information, faster delivery, and lower costs. However, construction firms often face challenges when reorganizing their company structure to take full advantage of these benefits. This paper proposes an organizational structure that will enable engineering-construction firms to successfully adopt and implement BIM for major construction projects. A case study research method is utilized based on in-depth interviews with four BIM directors and vice presidents charged with BIM adoption, implementation and education. Organizational transformation challenges and recommendations are discussed in detail for those considering implementing BIM in the engineering-construction industry. Topics such as organizational changes in the firm, costs and benefits of BIM implementation, strategies of BIM implementation (execution) plan, BIM education, risks and opportunities associated with BIM, BIM software, contract methods, human resource management and new hires, and the future implementation and direction of BIM are discussed in detail.
