A Field Survey on the Structure and Maintenance Status of Pipe Framed Greenhouses (파이프 골조 온실의 구조 및 유지관리실태 조사분석)

  • An investigation was conducted to get the basic data for establishing maintenance strategy of pipe framed greenhouses. The contents of the investigation consisted of actual state of structures, maintenance status, meteorological disaster, and corrosion characteristics of pipe framework in greenhouses. the number of greenhouses investigated was 108 in total. Most multi-span greenhouses had narrower width and lower height than the standared 1-2W greenhouse, and most of single-span greenhouses were tunnel type. In multi-span greenhouses, the size and interval of frameworks such as rafter, purline, column , and cross beam were mostly suitable, but frameworks of single-span greenhouses were mostly insufficient. After about 7 years in grounds, 8 years in joints, 10 years in bending parts. and 13 years in columns. pipe surface was mostly rusted. Most weak parts in corrosion were pipes in contact with the ground, joints, roll-up shaft pipes, and pipes close to the gutter. Almost all of the greenhouse farmers didn't pay any attention to maintenance affair in a regular interval for pipe framed grenhouses. Many greenhouses have experienced the meteorologicla diaster such as uplift of foundation, partial or complete failure by the hyphoon and/or high winds.

  • In the field of maintenance of domestic high-speed railroad which has cost a great deal more than any other fields since it was opened; 1) We found out the conditions of current domestic railroad by understanding the status of track maintenance and analyzing operative processes of track maintenance. 2) The main factors in track maintenance of high-speed railroad, that is, the elements for success to help decision-support in track maintenance were derived from a research on literature about the condition of railroad R&D in these days and about the prediction of the irregular progresses of track. 3) We derived the order of priority and weights from AHP analysis which was based on the survey regarding elements for success.

  • Present periodic maintenance activities are carried on electric rolling stock in Korea based on predetermined inspection intervals. And this can be seen as a first generation of maintenance techniques without taking into consideration a degree of aging or degradation of the componets. In this study, we have analyzed the current status of maintenance being used in the techniques in various activities such as overseas railway operation organization, and good cases for the advanced country's maintenance system being carried out effectively. Based on the analysis, we would derive implications for efficient application and improvement guidance of maintenance system in electric rolling stock.

  • In field of Aviation Maintenance, honest and expedite voluntary report of potential hazard provide airworthiness aircraft by eliminating or avoiding from dangerous factors of aircraft. Although it supports for safety flight, voluntary incident reporting system consist of Aviation practitioner and require cooperation of practitioner due to there are no forcibleness. These occur when positive safety culture and report culture are settled. In this regard, this study firstly identify the current status of Aviation Safety Reporting System in Korea. Then, this article also find out the level of reporting culture of the AMT(Aircraft Maintenance Technicians) and problems in reporting system. Finally, suggestions on the model of positive safety reporting culture in a field of aircraft maintenance.

  • Although the number of domestic electric vehicle registrations exceeded 100,000 in the first half of 2020, legal and institutional concerns for maintenance and management are insufficient. In particular, the existing automobile maintenance business and qualification holders are not prohibited from performing electric vehicle maintenance without additional qualifications or training under the current laws. In this study, we review the current status of Korean laws and regulations, examine discussions abroad such as the UK, the US, and Germany, and then discuss desirable laws and institutional reform. This study proposes to temporarily reorganize the system in a way that separates the electric vehicle maintenance business and the electric vehicle maintenance qualifications from conventional vehicle.

  • As the life cycle of buildings is expected to increase, new constructions will decrease and the proportion of remodeling and repair will increase. Therefore, there is an increasing need for overall performance management of old buildings. In 2020, the proportion of buildings over 30 years old is expected to reach a half. As a result, the demand for securing and improving the performance in the stage of using the building is increasing due to the change in the demand for the building, such as the decrease in the construction permit and the increase in the use of the existing building. From this perspective, the study sought to consider institutional measures to organize the preventive and conservative maintenance of buildings. For this purpose, the conceptual goals of inspection for building maintenance were set through a literature review, and the status and problems associated with building maintenance were analyzed to suggest ways to improve the inspection system for building maintenance.

  • Today, as interest in the importance of urban parks increases, many citied internationally are actively creating small parks, but their maintenance systems remain ineffective. Accordingly, in this study, the limitations and problems in the operation and management of urban parks were derived by examining previous studies on overall urban park maintenance and management. Based on this, the study tried to understand the actual state of maintenance and management of small parks through data surveys and field surveys related to budget execution on case sites. Then, we sought to clarify the actual state of maintenance and management of small parks through data surveys and field surveys regarding the budget execution of case sites as a basis for research to prepare an efficient and systematic improvement plan for the maintenance management system of city parks.

  • The proportion of maintenance work has been increasing due to the recent aging of the infrastructure, but the standardized construction cost estimation standards are insufficient for this. In particular, reinforced concrete structures are being applied to many structures such as buildings and bridges, and various construction methods for maintenance of reinforced concrete structures are being developed and applied. In this study, we surveyed about the current status of the construction method for the maintenance work of reinforced concrete structures and analyze the factors of the revision of the construction cost estimate standard for the reinforced concrete structure maintenance.

  • A study on the insulation aging assessment and maintenance for submarine medium voltage power cable systems has been performed The purpose of this work is the economic discrimination and maintenance of bad cables which is likely to cause cable system failure. 1 have found that aging status of submarine cable systems are very poor and in progress. Therefore, we have the replacement of cable terminations and repeat the diagnostic measurement Insulation status were improved with the replacement of cable terminations. I have confirmed, with the electrical md structural analysis of terminations, that the poor aging status of cables are mainly caused not by the cable insulations but by the aging of cable terminations. From the above results, I have also confirmed that the domestic diagnostic system is successful and convenient for the discrimination and maintenance of the damaged cables economically.

Perception Survey on the Necessity of Improvement for the Standard Buoys Fouling Maintenance

  • In 2001, about 20 years after the introduction of the standard buoys, the natural environment and maritime traffic flow changes in the waters near Korea and the necessity of improvement of the AtoN (Aids to Navigation) maintenance was suggested. The IALA provides guidelines for maintenance and management of AtoN, and Korea provides guidelines for the management and operation of standard buoys by means of the Enforcement on the AtoN laws. The objective of this study was to investigate the installation status and the repair status of the standard type buoys by sea area in order to improve the management and operation of the steel standard buoys. In addition, a survey was conducted on the improvement of the steel buoy fouling and the improvement of the lifting inspection cycle towards on the AtoN managers and producers of the representative authority by sea area. In the case of LL-26 (M) buoy type, the standard type buoy installation status of Korea in 2017 was 57.1%, and the LL-26 (M) type was 58.9% showing the highest repair rate. According to the results of the survey on buoys fouling, 51.2% were caused by the attachment of shellfish, and 43.2% were caused by bird feces. The results of the survey on the improvement of the regular buoy inspection cycle showed that the measures are to maintain the current inspection period of 2 years regardless of the characteristics of the sea area (water depth, inside and outside port, buoy size, etc.).
