1999년 6월 2일 경주 지진의 스펙트럼 특성 (Spectral Characteristics of the June 2, 1999 Kyeongju Earthquake)

  • Spectral characteristic of Kyeongju earthquake occurred on the June 2, 1999 with magnitude 3,4 is analyzed. It is guessed that the stress energy release of source within relatively short period caused the ground near the epicenter to vibrate with large amplitude for the magnitude and predominantly high frequency. The cumulative absolute velocity and average spectrum acceleration are 0.034 gsec and 0.118g, respectively lower than threshold values of potential earthquake damage which is consistent with the investigation of damage in field. The analysis of the acceleration records of Kyeongju earthquake shows the need to develop the ration criterion for the determining the operating basis earthquake of nuclear power plant.

국내 지진기록의 통계적 분석에 기반한 스펙트럴 가속도 응답 예측기법 (Prediction of Spectral Acceleration Response Based on the Statistical Analyses of Earthquake Records in Korea)

  • This study suggests a prediction model of ground motion spectral shape considering characteristics of earthquake records in Korea. Based on the Graizer and Kalkan's prediction procedure, a spectral shape model is defined as a continuous function of period in order to improve the complex problems of the conventional models. The approximate spectral shape function is then developed with parameters such as moment magnitude, fault distance, and average shear velocity of independent variables. This paper finally determines estimator coefficients of subfunctions which explain the corelation among the independent variables using the nonlinear optimization. As a result of generating the prediction model of ground motion spectral shape, the ground motion spectral shape well estimates the response spectrum of earthquake recordings in Korea.

  • This paper presents an improved MELP Coder using Fourier magnitude compensation method chosen the new 2.4 kbit/s U.S. federal Standard. Although the MELP is quite good, it has some distortion for low-pitch male speakers. An improved MELP coder includes a post processing for the fourier magnitude model that allows the MELP to reconstruct the lower frequency spectrum more accurately and improve the speech quality. In this new compensation algorithm, the harmonic magnitudes in the low frequencies are adaptively modified by removing the effect of the two filters. Also, the bit rate of the improved MELP coder is the same as that of the Federal Standard MELP coder. formal quality tests show that the improved MELP coder was preferred over the Federal Standard MELP coder by $80.8\%$.

  • Tact Electrical conductivity. optical absorption spectra of poly(p-phenylene vinylene) and their dependence on stretching are discussed in detail. The conductivity in the parallel direction to the stretching is higher over one order in magnitude than that in the perpendicular direction to the stretching is higher over one order in magnitude than that in the perpendicular direction to the stretching. The photocurrent spectrum for the ligh polarized parallel to the chain direction is much enhanced in lower photon energy compared with that for the light polarized perpendicular to that direction. The result may be originated in the difference of energies which is needed to photogenerate carriers wi th the light polarized parallel and perpendicular to the chain stretched direction.

  • In this paper, when void of XLPE was existed, electrical tree was growth in branch-type, and it was growth in bush-type when void of XLPE was not existed. Moreover, charge magnitude of partial discharge by deterioration time of XLPE sample was about proportion to output voltage of AE signals. When void was existed, charge magnitude of partial discharge, the output voltage Vp-p value of AE signals were increased with increasing deterioration time. However, when void were not existed, charge magnitude of partial discharge, the output voltage Vp-p value of AE signals were increased in fast deterioration time, but it were decreasing at after in middle deterioration time. Frequency spectrum response of AE signal was about 100-250[kHz].

음극선을 이용한 삼중수소 베타선 모사 (Simulation of Beta Rays from Tritium with Cathode Rays)

  • Beta rays emitted from tritium in titanium tritide film were simulated with cathode rays of a scanning electron microscope to investigate the effect of beta rays from tritium on semiconductor devices. The cathode ray currents, which vary with the change of applied energy and beam spot size, were measured with Faraday cup. The current from the semiconductor device irradiated with cathode rays at various conditions was measured. The cathode ray current increased with the increase of spot size to a maximum then decreased when the spot sized increased further. The magnitude of current produced in the semiconductor device is proportional to the magnitude of cathode ray current. The magnitude of cathode ray current at each energy level was matched to the intensity of beta ray to simulate the tritium beta ray spectrum. Then the semiconductor characteristics were analyzed with I-V curves.

위상 모델 기반의 소프트 마스크를 이용한 단일 채널 음성분리 (Single-Channel Speech Separation Using Phase Model-Based Soft Mask)

  • 본 논문은 혼합 음성 신호로부터 크기와 위상 정보를 모두 고려하여 목표 음성 신호를 추출하고 향상하는 음성 분리 알고리듬을 제안한다.기존 연구에서는 혼합된 음성 신호의 로그 전력 스펙트럼 값이 시간-주파수 영역에서 서로 독립이라고 가정한 통계적 모델을 적용하기 때문에 음성 분리 결과 파형에 불연속을 야기한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 불연속을 감소시키기 위하여 시간-주파수 영역에서의 스무딩 필터를 적용한다. 음성 분리 성능을 더욱 향상시키기 위하여 음성 신호의 크기와 함께 위상 정보를 고려하는 통계적 모델을 제안한다. 실혐 결과, 제안된 알고리즘이 기존의 크기 정보만을 사용한 알고리즘에 비하여 1.5 dB의 화자대간섭비 (SIR)를 개선하는 것으로 나타난다.

2016년 경주지진 스펙트럼과 한국표준설계스펙트럼의 비교 (Response Spectra of 2016 Gyeongju Earthquake and Comparison with Korean Standard Design Spectra)

  • On September 12, 2016, Gyeongju earthquake occurred. Its local magnitude was announced to be $M_L=5.8$ by Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA). Ground motion data recorded at KMA, EMC and KERC stations was obtained from their data bases. From the data, horizontal and vertical response spectra, and V/H ratio were calculated. The horizontal spectrum was defined as geometric mean spectrum, GMRotI50. From the statistical analysis of the geometric mean spectra, a mean plus one standard deviation spectrum in lognormal distribution is obtained. Regression analysis is performed on this curve to determine the shape of spectrum including transition periods. Applying the same procedure, the shape and transition periods of vertical spectrum was obtained. These results were compared with the Korean standard design spectra, which were developed from domestic and overseas intraplate earthquake records. The response spectra of Gyeongju earthquake were found to be almost identical with the newly proposed design spectra. Even the V/H ratios showed good agreement. These results confirmed that the method adopted when developing the standard design spectra were valid and the developed design spectra were reliable.

중진지역에서 케이슨 안벽의 동적수평변위 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dynamic Lateral Displacements of Caisson Quay Walls in Moderate Earthquake Regions)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 항만 및 어항시설의 내진설계표준서에서 설계 예로 이용한 지진파를 포함하여 지진규모 $5.3{\sim}7.9$ 수준의 28개의 지진기록에 대한 에너지와 스펙트럼 분석을 통한 국내 적합성 여부를 평가하였고, 이를 통해 국내 내진설계에 적용 가능한 입력지진기록을 제안하였다. 그리고 제안된 지진기록을 이용하여 케이슨의 형상 및 하부지반 상태에 따른 케이슨 안벽의 동적 수평변위특성을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 지진파가 보유하고 있는 에너지와 가속도 스펙트럼의 크기는 지진규모가 커질수록 증가하였다. 특히, 지진규모 7.5 부근의 지진기록은 내진설계기준에 규정된 표준설계응답스펙트럼에서 크게 벗어난 반면, 지진규모 6.5 부근의 4개의 지진기록은 국내 내진설계기준에 규정된 표준설계응답스펙트럼을 거의 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고, 입력지진에 따른 케이슨 안벽의 동적 수평변위특성 분석 결과 국내 항만 및 어항시설의 내진설계 표준서의 예제로 제시한 지진규모 7.4 이상의 지진파의 수평변위는 국내의 내진설계기준에서 제시한 표준설계응답스펙트럼을 대체적으로 만족하는 지진규모 6.5 수준의 지진파의 수평변위보다 2배 이상 크게 나타났다. 이러한 결과로부터 지진규모 7.4 이상의 지진파를 이용한 내진설계는 지진력을 과다하게 산정하여 비경제적인 설계를 할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 국내 적합성 평가로부터 구한4개의 지진기록을 입력하중으로한 동해석 결과에 대한 정량적인 분석을 통해 케이슨의 형상과 하부지반 깊이 및 지반의 표준관입저항치를 이용하여 간편하게 케이슨 안벽의 지진시 수평변위를 산정할 수 있는 간편도표를 제안하였다.

촉침에 의한 표면 거칠기 측정 오차 해석 (Analysis of Measuring Error of Surface Roughness by Contact Stylus Profilometer)

  • This paper describes the effect of the stylus tip size on the shape error in surface topography measurement. To analyze the distortional effect of an actual surface geometry origination from the finite stylus size, the surface is modeled as a sinusoid and the stylus tip as a circle. The magnitude of this distortion is defined as the ration of standard deviation, and this is expressed as an analytic function of the stylus tip radius and the geometrical parameter of a sinusoid. In this paper, the spectrum analysis of the profile is applied to investigate the distortional effect due to the mechanical filtering of the stylus in the frequency domain. and, the cumulative power spectrum is proposed to assess the shape error of measured data according to the various stylus tip sizes. From these results, a new method to select proper stylus tip radius is proposed.
