자기압축회로의 EMTP 시뮬레이션 (Simulation of the Magnetic Pulse Compression Modulator using Electromagnetic Transients Program)

  • A pulse generator of one stage magnetic pulse compression modulator was simulated by electromagnetic transients program (EMTP). The pulse generator was expected to generate ${\sim}80kV$ peak voltage, ${\sim}140ns$ pulse width and about $70{\sim}75%$ energy delivery efficiency from initial charge capacitor $(0.2{\mu}F)$ to dummy load $(25{\Omega})$. From this simulation, the scheme of pulse circuit could be estimated as a practically reasonable design.

  • A Faraday rotator is designed with the HOYA FR-5 rotator glass. We find that traveling light rotates 45$^{\circ}$in the glass when magnetic field intensity is about 3.0$\times$105AT/m. The current of 2.7KA flowing in the coil of the 0cm diameter, 29cm long and 41 windings generates this magnetic field. A pulse forming network is designed for this current of 84 sec duration. The network is analyzed numerically to find the relevant circuit parameters for the flattest current waveform.

영전식 Magnetic Lifter의 최적 설계 (Optimal Design of Electropermanent Magnetic Lifter)

  • 본 논문에서는 영전식 magnetic lifter의 최적 설계 방법을 제시하였다. 등가 자기회로법으로 흡착시와 탈착시의 자장 해석 및 전자역 계산을 행하였고, 최적 설계를 위해 등가 자기회로법으로 해석된 흡착시의 전자력을 최대로 하는 lifter의 치수를 구하였다. 또한 흡착시의 전자력을 제한 조건으로 하여 lifter 전체의 부피를 최소로 하는 치수를 찾았다. 위 최적 설계를 위한 최적화 알고리즘으로는 (1+1) Evolution Strategy(ES)를 이용하였다. 또한 상용 자장해석 프로그램(MAXWELL)을 사용하여 얻은 결과와 위의 최적화 결과를 비교하여 본 논문의 최적화방법의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • In the industrial field the necessity of the linear motion is increasing. We selected a moving magnet coreless type LDM, which have the advantages, such as long stoke, brushless, no cogging force. Actually, the design is accomplished using FEM analysis for the basic configuration of a magnetic circuit, and characteristic equations for coil design. In the course of design we have estimated airgap flux density and thrust.

  • This study presents a design methods for linear DC motor and the designed motor is analyzed. To design the linear DC motor, magnetic circuit design is introduced and characteristics of LDM is analyzed by using the voltage equation aid dynamic equation. And the thrust characteristics are investigated using MEXWELL 2D.

  • In this paper, we propose an optimum design method for optical pick-up actuators. Using this method, we can design an optimal pick-up actuator having the required tracking/focusing performances. Also, the designed actuator has the small mass, force constant for small size of magnetic circuit and large resistance for reduction of heat generation. Simulation results show that this method can be potentially implemented in all the pick-up actuators.

  • This paper present a inductance calculation method of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) for torque characteristic analysis using analytical model. Recently, many approaches of inductance calculations are accomplished with Finite Element Analysis (FEM) and curve fitting method using complex nonlinear magnetic circuit model. It this paper, a simple method for inductance calculation is proposed based on the motor design parameters. The simulation result of the proposed method are compared with a FEM analysis for, and a good accuracy is obtained.

  • This paper deals with a moving coil type linear motor for fast access of the miniature ODD. This slim-line motor is composed of the mover supported by guide mechanism, the coil wound into it, and the yoke attached to the permanent magnet for stator. The driving force is generated by the PM of the stator and the current in the coil of the mover. Magnetic circuit analysis and Finite Element Method are applied to estimate force at air gap.   • In this paper, a new type of switchgear, electro magnetic force driving actuator (EMFA), is developed and analyzed, applicable to high voltage gas circuit breaker (HGCB). Transient analysis is performed in order to obtain the dynamic characteristics of the EMFA. The distribution of static magnetic flux is obtained using the finite element method (FEM). The governing electric and kinematical equations are solved using the time difference method (TDM). Fabrication and experiments were performed in order to prove the applicability of HGCB for overall class. In comparing the experiment with simulated data, it is confirmed that analysis of the dynamic characteristics of EMFA is appropriate for design.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to optimize the configuration of body RF coil composed of 4 planar subcoils for low field open MRI. Method: Our low field RE coil is composed of 4 subcoils assumed to be located at both the bottom and top sides of permanent magnet. Each subcoils has 3 main strips. The coil system has mirror inversion symmetry. First, the currents on the strips are obtained by inductance calculation and circuit analysis, Second, all the strips are divided into line strip elements across the strips, the self Inductances of line strip elements and the mutual inductances among the line strip elements are calculated, and current distributions of strip are obtained by circuit analysis, where each strip is considered as parallel combination of line strip elements. Finally all the line strip elements are segmented, magnetic field has been calculated by pseudo electric dipole radiation method, where the current elements are regarded as pseudo electric dipole radiation sources. We have performed above procedures for various configurations of RE coil. The field homogeneity is calculated in the 25 cm DSV.
