K-pop performances are in the center of the contemporary popular arts and cultural industry, and implicitly reveal the way that our society views the body and the time-space. This paper explores the motif of automaton in the K-pop idol group ShiNee's stage performance of 'Everybody' and the song's music video. At the same time, the paper relates the motif with the automaton of the digital era-that is, the sense of time-space in digital animations. The motif of the automaton has its origins in the mythical forms related to the animation, and is related to the human desire to create humanlike forms. Also, this motif is closely linked to the aesthetical meaning of the animation, being played in different variations since the beginning of the animation. This paper explores the tradition of automaton motif in culture and the arts, and look into the cases in which the history of the relationship between the media and body performance harboring the automaton motif has been displayed in 19th century ballet or modern body expressional arts. In addition, this paper will compare and analyze representative contemporary works that reveal digital viewpoint and the choreography of 'Everybody', and compare other works that stand in similar aesthetic tradition, investigating the influence of digital animation reflected in the K-pop idol and its aesthetic and social undertones.

In this paper, we proposed a mobile phone payment system using light signal containing payment related information. The digicard system we proposed creates virtual mobile card such as credit numbers and the created information is loaded in mobile phone. The virtual card information should be changed to pulse signal by light signal devices of mobile phone and the specific digicard system reader is able to read light signal. In recent years, a mobile phone payment system has been developed in order to provide user's convenience. But the mobile phone payment system has problems such as the production costs and complex and large size. In order to solve the aforementioned problems, we proposed mobile phone payment system being implemented by updating software without additional hardware modules. Therefore it is possible to apply the proposed digicard system to all kinds of mobile phone. Also encryption module is implemented to solve the problem of the security and privacy. According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a mobile phone payment system using a light signal containing payment-related information, comprising: a mobile phone; a photo receiver: and a control server.

Recently, component materials for display are being developed into higher value-added industries which can strengthen national industrial competitiveness. However, a system for production of component materials for display is nearly depending on import, and its development level is inadequate. For this reason, localization of the embossing treatment system for production of the spacer tape and system improvement for increasing of productivity are needed. Therefore, in this paper, we propose rotary type embossing process system for spacer tape production for localization of system and increasing productivity. The system consists of unwinding, forming, cleaning, winding and testing parts. The mold of forming part is designed to rotary type. And we designed each part and made a prototype to test its performance. We measured embossing shapes, diameter and distance between each embossing and opposite embossing using three coordinate measuring machine. Also, we measured impurity level and the number of impurity particles of sample through the testing and cleaning part. Additionally, the productivity of spacer tape produced by the prototype is measured.

Cloud service users request dedicated virtual computing resource from the cloud service provider to process jobs in independent environment from other users. To optimize this process with automated method, in this paper we proposed a framework for workflow scheduling in the cloud environment, in which the core component is the middleware called broker mediating the interaction between users and cloud service providers. To process jobs in on-demand and virtualized resources from cloud service providers, many papers propose scheduling algorithms that allocate jobs to virtual machines which are dedicated to one machine one job. With this method, the isolation of being processed jobs is guaranteed, but we can't use each resource to its fullest computing capacity with high efficiency in resource utilization. This paper therefore proposed a cost-efficient job scheduling algorithm which maximizes the utilization of managed resources with increasing the degree of multiprogramming to reduce the number of needed virtual machines; consequently we can save the cost for processing requests. We also consider the performance degradation in proposed scheme with thrashing and context switching. By evaluating the experimental results, we have shown that the proposed scheme has better cost-performance feature compared to an existing scheme.

Several educational, political, scientific, social and ethical effects and solutions were studied and suggested in this study. Clear implication from the study is that the world we will live from now on is changing faster than ever in the social, industrial, political and educational environment. If it will reform the social systems according to those changes, a society (nation or government) will grasp the chance of its development or take-off, otherwise, it will consume the resources ineffectively and lose the competition as a whole society. But the method of that reform is not that apparent in many aspects as the revolution is progressing currently and its definition should be made whether in industrial or scientific aspect. The person or nation who will define it will have the advantage of leading the future of that business or society.
The river environment in Korea has changed significantly after the completion of the Four Major Rivers Project due to the outdated river management methods and thus, it is necessary to modify the current river management process. A typical example of this management is dredging but it is a method that usually results in socio-environmental side effects. Therefore, in order to minimize the socio-environmental impacts of dredging, Korea is currently applying the Environmental Windows, a management practice currently being used in the United States that eliminates the risk of potentially harmful impacts of dredging. The use of statistical methods was suggested to address the issue of data insufficiency and this methodology was applied in the downstream part of the Gangjeong-Goryeong weir located within the Nakdong river basin. The results show that when performing a month of dredging, the optimal period is March whereas the optimal month to start dredging is August in case of an eight-month dredging project. If Korea's flood season is also considered for an eight-month dredging process, then October is the optimal month to start dredging. Non-structural methods such as the Environmental Windows reduce maintenance costs and also bring only short-term side effects to the environment, as opposed to structural methods such as the development of environmentally-friendly dredging machine. Given that few studies have explored this topic in Korea, the findings and suggestions could serve as basic data in studying river dredging in the future.
The purpose of this study is to study how to apply block-chain technology to prevent data forgery and alteration in the defense sector of AI(Artificial intelligence). AI is a technology for predicting big data by clustering or classifying it by applying various machine learning methodologies, and military powers including the U.S. have reached the completion stage of technology. If data-based AI's data forgery and modulation occurs, the processing process of the data, even if it is perfect, could be the biggest enemy risk factor, and the falsification and modification of the data can be too easy in the form of hacking. Unexpected attacks could occur if data used by weaponized AI is hacked and manipulated by North Korea. Therefore, a technology that prevents data from being falsified and altered is essential for the use of AI. It is expected that data forgery prevention will solve the problem by applying block-chain, a technology that does not damage data, unless more than half of the connected computers agree, even if a single computer is hacked by a distributed storage of encrypted data as a function of seawater.

Cold-formed steel studs that are being used as load-bearing members of wall panels for steel houses have a problem with their insulation due to the heat bridging of their web. Some additional thermal insulating materials should be used. To solve this problem, the new-concept hybrid stud, which consists of a galvanized steel sheet (t = 1.0 m - 12.0 m) and a GFRP panel (t = 4.0-6.0 mm), has recently been developed. An investigation on the structural behavior and the strength capacity of this new hybrid stud has been conducted so that it can be used in load-bearing wall panels of residential buildings. This paper describes the axial compression-torsion test results of the hybrid studs under both axial compression and torsion using ATTM. The main factors of the test were the stud length, the magnitude of the initial compressive force, and the loading method of the monotonic or cyclic loading. The torsion was applied increasingly while the initial compression was kept constant to the failure of the hybrid section. The advanced analysis results obtained form the finite element procedure that considered the material properties of the high-strength galvanized steel and the GFRP were compared with the test results for verification.
In conservation treatment lacquer has been used variously as a restoration material. However, dealing with Lacquer is very difficult as it dried in high humidity that can be harmful to the base materials. Also being natural varnish, dried lacquer layer is very different from the drying condition and the quality of the lacquer. These make difficult to predict the result of drying lacquer. In this study, using the humidity control machine, firstly, the main contents of the two different type of lacquer was experimented. And these lacquers was cured in various conditions. The duration time was checked until totally hardened. After that, obtained lacquer layers was analyzed to understand optical properties. Therefore, this study made a result about the relationship between characteristics of lacquer layer and the hardening condition. As a result, duration time of the Korean lacquer drying which has average 13.4% more urushiol than the Chinese lacquer is recorded a twice or triple decrease over it of the Chinese one. And, in all types of lacquer, the higher humidity makes the faster a pace of lacquer dried. In same lacquer, the shorter the duration time of drying lacquer is much darker and glossier. However, gloss deteriorated in saturated humidity. In humidity lower than RH 70%, lacquer is not hardened in 336 hours. When the layer totally cured through long period more than 30 days, the drying lacquer is appeared high brightness and almost transparent. Thus, in lower than RH 70%, it is hard to obtain durable layer.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to observe the microstructural changes of surface in the specimens, performing the shear bond strength testing. The currently most used non-precious alloys are nickel-chromium based alloys with or without beryllium. However, their biocompatibility has been questioned concerning possible damages to the health of the patient and professionals involved in the fabrication of prosthesis caused by long exposure to Ni and Be. An option to nickel-chromium alloys is the cobalt-chromium alloy, an alternative that does not sacrifice the physical properties of the metal porcelain systems. Studies in the animals substantially show that the cobalt-chromium alloys are relatively well tolerated, being therefore more biocompatible than the nickel-chromium alloys. Methods: Non-addition Be to nickel-chromium based alloy(Bellabond plus) and cobalt-chromium alloy which has been widely used(Wirobond C) fused with ZEO light porcelain classified control group and cobalt-chromium alloy which is developing alloy of Alphadent company in Korea(Alphadent alloy) fused with ZEO light porcelain classified experimental group. The specimens of $4mm{\times}4mm{\times}0.5mm$ were prepared as-cast and as-opaque to cast body to analyze the mechanical characteristic change, the microstructure of alloy surface. The phase change was used to observe through XRD analysis and OM/SEM was used to observe the surface of specimens as-cast and as-opaque to cast body. Chemical formation of their elements was measured with EDS. Then hardness was measured with Micro Vicker's hardness tester. Shear bond strength test thirty specimens of $10mm{\times}10mm{\times}2mm$ was prepared, veneered, 3mm high and 3mm in diameter, over the alloy specimens. The shear bond strength test was performed in a universal testing machine(UTM) with a cross head speed of 0.5mm/min. Ultimate shear bond strength data were analyzed with one-way ANOVA and the Scheffe's test (P<0.05). Within the limits of this study, the following conclusions were drawn: The X-ray diffraction analysis results for the as-cast and as-opaque specimens showed that the major relative intensity of Bellabond plus alloy were changed smaller than Wirobond C and Alphadent Co-Cr based alloys. Results: Microstructural analysis results for the opaque specimens showed all the alloys increased carbides and precipitation(PPT). Alphadent Co-Cr based alloy showed the carbides of lamellar type. The Vickers hardness results for the opaque specimens showed Wirobond C and Alphadent Co-Cr based alloys were increaser than before ascast, but Bellabond plus alloy relatively decreased. The mean shear bond strengths (MPa) were: 33.11 for Wirobond C/ZEO light; 25.00 for Alphadent Co-Cr alloy/ZEO light; 18.02 for Bellabond plus/ZEO light. Conclusion: The mean shear bond strengths for Co-Cr and Ni-Cr based alloy were significantly different. But the all groups showed metal-metal oxide modes in shear bond strengths test at the interface.
