In this paper, the effects of the leading and the following sounds with single frequency on sound localization are investigated. The sounds with different levels and ISIs(Inter Stimuli Intervals) were used. The width of test sound is 2ms, and those of the leading and the following sounds are 10ms. 1 kHz of the test sound is utilized. The arrival time difference in the subject's ears is set to be 0.5ms. The four kinds of level differences used for one ISI are 0, -10, -15, and -20dB interval. The leading sound is found to have more effect on sound localization than the following sound is. The effect of the leading sound is also found to be dependent on the value of ISI. When the value of the ISI is small, different effects affecting the sound localization are observed.

Cryopreservation of embryogenic callus derived from apical meristem culture was attempted by slow prefreezing method (two-step method) with various cryoprotectants in sweetpotato cv. 'Yulmi' Precultured embryogenic calli on medium containing 10 mg/L ABA prior to slow prefreezing in liquid nitrogen indicated higher survival rate than 1.0 mg/L ABA preteatment. The cryoprotectant comprising 1.28 M DMSO in 0.4 M sucrose solution gave the best survival (over 46%) of sweetpotato cells exposed to liquid nitrogen as determined by TTC reduction and FDA staining method. Cryopreserved calli cultured on MS medium with 1.0 mg/L 2,4-D were grown for 4 weeks in the dark and induced embryos after another 4 weeks. They were subcultured on MS medium supplemented with 0.1 mg/L 2,4-D+0.1 mg/L kinetin for 2 weeks and regenerated into normal plantlets in MS basal medium.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to estimate the prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MS), metabolic abnormalities, and nutrient intakes in Korea children and adolescents using the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey from 2008. Methods: A sample of 838 children and adolescent males (n=442) and females (n=396) aged 10-18 was used from the 2008 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination survey. The diagnosis of the metabolic syndrome subjects was adapted from modified National Cholesterol Education Program-Adult Treatment Panel III by Ford. To compare nutrient intakes, we used a judgment sampling. The first group was composed of all children and adolescents (n=46) with MS. The second one along with the first group had children and adolescents with the same age, sex, and body mass index (BMI) but without MS (n=46). The control group like the first two had children and adolescents with same sex and same age but with normal BMI and without MS (n=46). Results: In this randomized controlled controlled trial, the prevalence of the metabolic syndrome was 5.8%. The risk factors was associated with the MS were abdominal obesity 9.4%, hypertriglyceridemia 25.0%, low HDL-cholesterol 10.3%, hypertension 23.4%, and hyperglycemia 7.1%. Among metabolic abnormalities, blood pressure was significantly affected by sex, age and obesity. On the other hand, HDL-cholesterol, triglycerides, and waist circumference were directly linked to obesity. There were no significant differences in nutrient intakes among the three groups. Conclusions: The prevalence of MS was higher in children (10-11 years old) than in adolescents (12-18 years old). There was a difference in hypertension among risk factors by gender, and there were no significant differences in nutrient intakes.
When the leaf and stem tissues of Rehmannia glutinosa were cultured on MS medium with plant growth regulators, shoots were regenerated on MS medium with TDZ(0.01 to $2.0{\mu}M$), and root initiation was better on MS medium treated with NAA(0.01 to 2.0mg/$\iota$). On $B_5$ medium, shoot regeneration was better on medium with TDZ than those with Quincrac, NAA, and 2.4-D. The addition of Quincrac, NAA, and 2.4-D inhibited shoot regeneration on MS medium, but promoted shoot regeneration on $B_5$ medium. Shoot regeneration and growth was better on MS medium with the combination treatments of 2.4-D 0.01mg/$\iota$ and TDZ 0.01, 0.1 and $2{\mu}M$ compared with other treatments. Also shoot regeneration and growth on B_5 medium showed the similar results to that on MS medium.
In the present study, the approach of high accuracy mass measurements for phospholipid identifications was evaluated using a 7 T ESI-FTMS/linear ion trap MS/MS. Experiments were carried out for porcine brain, bovine liver, and soybean total lipid extracts in both positive and negative ion modes. In total, 59, 55, and 18 phospholipid species were characterized in the positive ion mode for porcine brain, bovine liver, and soybean lipid extracts, respectively. Assigned lipid classes were PC, PE, PEt, PS, and SM. In the negative ion mode, PG, PS, PA, PE, and PI classes were observed. In the negative ion mode, for porcine brain, bovine liver, and soybean lipid extracts, 28, 34, and 29 species were characterized, respectively. Comparison of our results with those obtained by other groups using derivatization-LC-APCI MS and nano-RP-LC-MS/MS showed that our approach can characterize PC species as effectively as those methods could. In conclusion, we demonstrated that high accuracy mass measurements of total lipid extracts using a high resolution FTMS, particularly, 7T FTMS, plus ion-trap MS/MS are very useful in profiling lipid compositions in biological samples.
This study was performed to investigate the effects of various media compositions in regeneration of Lilium lancifolium. The adventitious bud initiation from microscale was the best on MS medium supplemented with BAP 1.0 mg/L and NAA 0.1 mg/L after 4 weeks of culture. However, from bulbscales, adventitious bud initiation was the best in dark condition on MS medium supplemented with BAP 0.5 mg/L and NAA 0.1 mg/L. On the other hand, callus induction was found to be the best from the microscales incubated in complete dark condition for 8 weeks on MS medium supplemented with 2,4-D 1.0 mg/L and BAP 0.1 mg/L. The highest plantlet regeneration from callus was obtained after incubation in the light condition for 8 weeks on MS medium supplemented with NAA 0.5 mg/L and BAP 0.1 mg/L. Rooting of shoots was obtained easily on MS medium and the plantlets were transferred to soil pots after 8 weeks. The chromosome analysis of the root tip cells was revealed that the callus-derived plantlets had normal chromosome number, 2n=24. No variation was observed in the morphology of the plantlets.

Highest increase of biomass was observed when tissue-cultured potato (Solanum tuberosum L. cv. Chubaek) shoots were cultured in a liquid medium containing 1/3 MS solution in a 18 L bioreactor, as compared to 1/4 and 1/2 MS solution. The medium containing 1/4 MS solution showed higher increase of shoot biomass than one containing 1/2 MS solution. Potato microtubers were formed when the medium was exchanged with the medium for microtuber formation and incubated under dark condition. The microtubers were observed first at some axillary buds one week after incubation under dark condition and then at most of the axillary buds by the end of 3 weeks. The 1.5 MS liquid medium and $20^{\circ}C$ were optimal conditions. By the end of 6 weeks, more 1,000 microtubers were formed in the 18 L bioreactor. Then, greened microtubers were harvested after one week culture under light condition.
Proteomic analyses of synaptic vesicle fraction from rat brain have been performed for the better understanding of vesicle regulation and signal transmission. Two different approaches were applied to identify proteins in synaptic vesicle fraction. First, the isolated synaptic vesicle proteins were treated with trypsin, and the resulting peptides were analyzed using a high-pressure capillary reversed phase liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (cRPLC/MS/MS). Alternatively, proteins were separated by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2DE) and identified by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF/MS). Total 18 and 52 proteins were identified from cRPLC/MS-MS and 2DE-MALDI-TOF-MS analysis, respectively. Among them only 2 proteins were identified by both methods. Of the proteins identified, 70% were soluble proteins and 30% were membrane proteins. They were categorized by their functions in vesicle trafficking and biogenesis, energy metabolism, signal transduction, transport and unknown functions. Among them, 27 proteins were not previously reported as synaptic proteins. The cellular functions of unknown proteins were estimated from the analysis of domain structure, expression profile and predicted interaction partners.

Measurement controller that acquire and control and observe data from scattering sensors is organic with central control room. Therefore, measurement controller is efficient wireless network than wire network. But, serious problem is happened in security from outside if use wireless network. Therefore, this paper proposed suitable MS-WP cryptographic system to measurement control wireless network to augment network efficiency of measure controller. Result that implement proposed MS-WP cryptographic system by chip level and achieve a simulation, confirmed that 130% processing rate increase and system efficiency are increased double than AES algorithm. Proposed MS-WP cryptographic system augments security and is considered is suitable to measurement controller because that low power is possible and the processing speed is fast.

A 10b 500MS/s $0.13{\mu}m$ CMOS ADC is proposed for 4G wireless communication systems such as a LTE-Advanced and SDR The ADC employs a calibration-free single-channel folding architecture for low power consumption and high speed conversion rate. In order to overcome the disadvantage of high folding rate, at the fine 7b ADC, a cascaded folding-interpolating technique is proposed. Further, a folding amplifier with the folded cascode output stage is also discussed in the block of folding bus, to improve the bandwidth limitation and voltage gain by parasitic capacitances. The chip has been fabricated with $0.13{\mu}m$ 1P6M CMOS technology, the effective chip area is $1.5mm^2$. The measured results of INL and DNL are within 2.95LSB and l.24LSB at 10b resolution, respectively. The SNDR is 54.8dB and SFDR is 63.4dBc when the input frequency is 9.27MHz at sampling frequency of 500MHz. The ADC consumes 150mW($300{\mu}W/MS/s$) including peripheral circuits at 500MS/s and 1.2V(1.5V) power supply.
