We present intra-mixture prediction (IMP) mode for intra prediction and an enhanced estimation method for most probable mode (MPM). IMP mode supports more flexibility in intra prediction by mixing $4{\times}4$ blocks and $8{\times}8$ blocks in one macroblock, while the enhanced MPM estimation extends the number of referenced neighboring blocks and efficiently uses their prediction modes depending on their positions. Simulation results show that the combination of both proposed methods provides a bit reduction in the Bj${\phi}$ntegaard delta bitrate by an average of 2.56% compared to H.264/AVC.

본 논문에서는 전송 지연 시간을 최소화하기 위해 서비스 품질 파라미터를 포함한 새로운 규격모델로 모바일 페트리넷 모델을 제안한다. 그리고 미디어의 재생시 끊어짐이 없는 유연한 재생을 처리하기 위한 재생 시간 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 모델은 기존 연구보다 재생 시간과 같은 서비스 품질의 보장을 향상시키는 결과를 나타내었다.

본 논문에서는 APD(Avalanche photodiode)센서와 LED조명 및 광섬유 도파관(Fiber optic waveguide)를 이용한 광전((光電, Photoelectric) 영상 검출시스템을 제안한다. 제안한 핀홀(Pinhole) 검출시스템은 100미크론의 핀홀을 1,000mpm(meter per minute)의 속도로 검출할 수 있다. 아울러, 영상검출 알고리듬을 통해 검출된 핀홀의 위치와 크기 별로 분류할 수 있는 SQL기반의 DB결과를 분석함으로서 영상검출시스템의 검출성능이 개선되었다.

In the raper, the noise involved on the active circuit is identified using correlation function. In order to identify the unknown noise source location, signals from each points on the system are detected and the location is identified by a concept calico Noise Source Surface. The fault diagnosis method is suggested for each element by identifying the noise source in active circuit using SVM. Experiment is conducted to confirm the validity of the proposed method. Also a method to reduce and control the noise in the system signal by using Matrix Pencil Method is introduced.

The intra prediction technique is the one of the key factors to the success of H.264. There are nine optional prediction modes for each $4{\times}4$ luma block and 4 modes for each $16{\times}16$ luma block. To reduce the intra mode bits efficiently, the most probable mode (MPM) is estimated by using the intra modes of the adjacent blocks, since intra modes for neighboring $4{\times}4$ luma blocks are correlated. In this paper, a new method for estimating the MPM is proposed by using the statistical distribution of intra modes of adjacent intra blocks. Experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve a coding gain of about 0.1dB.

The drug release property from the coated tablets which contain 291mg of acetylsalicylic acid were estimated from comparison of the blood level and the urinary excretions after oral ingestion of coated tablets and noncoated tablet in human. The coating materials are 2-methyl-5-vinylpyridine-methylacrylic acid copolymer(MPM), dimethyl aminoethyl methacrylate methyl methacrylate copolymer(EE), polyvinyl acetal diethyl aminoacetate(AEA), and shellac. Each of 7 subjects ingested 873mg of acetylsaliylic acid. All tablets are coated approximately $3.5{\pm}0.5%(w/w)$ per tablet with each of the coating materials and met K.P.II. standard for potency and disintegration time. The availability was decreased in the following order:MPM coated tablets>EE coated tablets>AEA coated tablets>> shellac coated tablets.

This paper presents dynamics of register error on a compensator roll type converting machine. Though a register control is an important aspect of a converting machine, it has not been taken into account as a main subject. Lately, demands for high speed converting machines over 500mpm(m/min) are raising but domestic converting industries can not come up with the high speed machines because capacities fur designing of the converting machine is restricted lower than 300mpm. Moreover register control is the key to product flexible displays through roll-to-roll systems. In this paper, a compensator roll type register controller is analyzed using mathematical model of register error. A case study for reducing transient register errors is discussed.

Dancer systems are most widely used mechanism for attenuation of tension disturbances. Lately, demands fur high speed converting machines over 500mpm(m/min) are raising but domestic converting industries can not come up with the machines because capacities for a designing of the converting machine are restricted lower than 300mpm. Moreover roll-to-roll is attracted flexible display manufacturer's attention as a effective method for productivity. A constant tension level in the span before the first printing cylinder is the key of high speed quality printing. This paper presents a modeling and simulations of dancer systems on converting machines.

본 논문에서는 저비트율 환경에서 화면내 예측 모드 정보를 적응적으로 부호화하는 방법을 제안한다. 저비트율 환경에서의 예측 모드의 확률정보에 기반하여 특성을 분석한 후 기존의 방법과 제안된 방법을 적응적으로 선택하여 예측 모드 정보를 부호화 한다. 제안된 방법에서는 기존의 MPM을 대체하여 하나의 MB내에서 MPM과 일치하지 않는 블록에 대한 개수에 대한 정보, 해당 블록의 위치 정보, 실제 모드 정보를 부호화하는 방법을 사용하였다. 실험 결과를 통해서, 제안된 기술은 저비트율 환경에서 평균적으로 0.10dB의 BD-PSNR 증가 또는 1.72%의 BD-bitrate를 감소시킴으로써 H264/AVC의 효율을 향상시킴을 확인할 수 있다.

In this paper, we presented an extension of the broadband DOA estimation method using frequency-domain frequency-invariant beamforming (FDFIB). The technique uses FDFIB instead of conventional frequency invariant beamforming (FIB) methods. And different narrowband DOA estimation methods, MUSIC, ESPRIT, and MPM, are used respectively. A comparison is made to demonstrate that the FDFIB-MPM not only offers a better resolution than the FDFIB-MUSIC, FDFIB-ESPRIT, but also it is computationally very efficient.
