Laboratory Astrophysics using Intense X-ray from Free Electron Lasers

  • The laboratory astrophysics is a new emerging field of basic sciences, and has tremendous discovery potentials. The laboratory astrophysics investigates the basic physical phenomena in the astrophysical objects in controlled and reproducible manners, which has become possible only recently due to the newly-established intense photon and ion beam facilities worldwide. In this presentation, we will introduce several promising ideas for laboratory astrophysics programs that might be readily incorporated in the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory X-ray Free Electron Laser (PAL-XFEL). For example, precise spectroscopic measurements using Electron Beam Ion Trap (EBIT) and intense X-ray photons from the PAL-XFEL can be performed to explore the fundamental processes in high energy X-ray phenomena in the visible universe. Besides, in many violent astrophysical events, the energy density of matter becomes so high that the traditional plasma physics description becomes inapplicable. Generation of such high-energy density states can be also be achieved by using the intense photon beams available from the PAL-XFEL.

Chronic Opisthorchis viverrini Infection and Associated Hepatobiliary Disease Is Associated with Iron Loaded M2-like Macrophages

  • Chronic Opisthorchis viverrini-induced hepatobiliary disease is associated with significant leukocyte infiltration, including activated macrophages; however, the polarization of infiltrating macrophages remains to be fully characterized. In this study, we characterized macrophage polarization and phenotype in chronic O. viverrini-induced hepatobiliary disease in humans and hamsters using gene expression and histochemical analysis. Chronic O. viverrini infection and associated hepatobiliary diseases were associated with iron loaded M2-like macrophages in both humans and hamsters. This study provides suggestive evidence that iron loaded M2-like macrophages promote hepatobiliary disease in chronic O. viverrini infection.

  • If a wind speed decreases during inertial control of a wind turbine generator (WTG), the rotor speed might decrease below the minimum operating limit, which is called over-deceleration (OD). When OD occurs, inertial control should be disabled and then the output power of a WTG significantly decreases. This significant power reduction causes a subsequent frequency drop. This paper proposes the stepwise inertial control to prevent OD when a wind speed decreases during inertial control. To do this, the proposed scheme changes the additional power output based on the rotor speed. The performance of the proposed scheme is investigated using an EMTP-RV simulator. The results show that the proposed inertial control scheme prevent OD even when the wind speed decreases during inertial control.

These food Is all vegetable food that don't take diseases of adult people. But God gave Noah the green plants. Everything that lives and moves will be food for Noah. Just as God gave man the green plants. And then man must not eat meat (animal protein food) that has its lifeblood still in it and God must not eat fat in it. The fat contains much fat (saturated fatty acids) and cholesterol that have susceptibility to disease of coronary heart, hypertension and atheriosclerosis etc. God must not eat these fat before we don't know that It have susceptibility to disease of adult people.

병렬 말뭉치를 이용한 도메인 특화 사전 자동 추출 연구 (A Study of Automatic Extraction of Domain Specified Dictionary)

  • 본 논문에서는 도메인별 병렬 말뭉치를 이용하여 해당 도메인에 특화된 한영 대역쌍을 Moses Toolkit을 이용하여 자동 추출하였다. 이렇게 추출된 대역쌍은 도메인 특화 자동 번역 시스템의 번역 사전으로 사용하기에는 많은 오류가 포함되어 있기 때문에, 본 논문에서는 이를 효율적으로 제거할 수 있는 식을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 식으로 오류를 제거한 결과, 임계값 0.5를 기준으로 추출된 한영 대역쌍이 1,098개였고, 이는 실험에 사용한 기업 분야 병렬 말뭉치 42,200문장 중에서 29,292문장(69.4%)에 영향을 주었다. 자동으로 추출한 도메인 특화 번역 지식을 기존 자동 번역 시스템의 번역 지식에 적용한 결과 BLEU가 0.0054 향상되었다.

  • The motion responses of a 5-MW floating offshore wind turbine were simulated in regular and irregular waves and its RAOs and significant motion responses were calculated, respectively. The floating offshore wind turbine employed in this simulation was the OC3-Hywind designed by the National Renewable Research Laboratory, USA. The numerical simulation was carried out using MOSES (Multi-Operational Structural Engineering Simulator), which is widely used to analyze and design floating offshore structures in the gas and oil industry.

  • God, existing in the Tabernacle was designed not by man but was designed by Him Personally. The LORD said to Moses..... 'Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you(Exodus25:1-9). These words represent the Godly Origin of the Tabernacle. He referred to it as'A copy and shadow of what is in heaven' (Hebrews8:5) , Furthermore, The Tabernacle, a copy and shadow of what is in heaven, used in the Old Times, was his body(John2:21). Therefore The Lord is the true designer of the Tabernacle(Exodus25:8-9), and is where He dwells(Exodus29:46), and is where the sinful man meets the Lord(Exodus30:6). It is where the Lord dwells(Exodus29:46) and where Forgiving takes place(Leviticus4:20,26,31). Because of this, The Tabernacle is the most important out of any piece of architecture designed by man.

침입 탐지 시스템을 위한 효율적인 룰 보호 기법 (A Scheme for Protecting Security Rules in Intrusion Detection System)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 네트워크 기반의 침입탐지 시스템인 Snort에 존재하는 취약성을 해결하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 현재 룰 기반의 침입탐지 시스템인 Snort에서는 룰 자체를 보호하기 위한 방법을 제공하지 못한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 해쉬함수를 이용하여 룰 자체에 대한 보호를 제공할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 이러한 기법을 통하여 룰 자체에 대한 무결성과 기밀성을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

  • This report summarizes the results of global performance analysis of TLP(Tension Leg Platform) at in-place operation condition. The frequency and time domain analysis were performed to calculate the wave induced dynamic responses of TLP using the commercial 3-D diffraction program, MOSES. As results of the analysis, air-gap, excursion and tension on the tendons&risers were provided. For verifying, the existed numerical and experimental result were compared with the results of the present study.

  • 전기적 등가회로의 모델의 정확도 향상을 위하여 정확한 내부 저항과 OCV의 반영은 필수적이며, 이를 위한 OCV 실험에서 SOC 구간을 작게 작을수록 OCV의 정확도는 향상되지만 실험시간은 증가한다. 따라서 실험 시간을 고려한 적당한 SOC(5%, 10%) 구간으로 실험을 진행하며, 측정 되지 않은 영역의 내부 파라미터는 선형보간법으로 등가회로 모델에 반영한다. 이러한 문제로, 본 연구는 SOC 추정에의 주요 인자인 OCV의 추정 기법으로 뉴럴 네트워크(Neural Network)를 사용하였다. 추정 방법은 뉴럴 네트워크로 기존 OCV 실험 데이터를 학습하여 모델을 구축한다. 학습 모델의 입력값으로 용량 실험 데이터의 전압, 전류를 적용하였고 결과로 얻은 SOC-OCV 곡선을 비교 분석하였다.
