Madhupur National Park (MNP) is one of the last remaining patches of old-growth natural Sal forest left in Bangladesh where the forest is tropical moist deciduous type. A study was revealed to assess the tree species diversity and composition in this area. For determining tree species the study was conducted through extensive random quadrat survey methods with $20m{\times}20m$ sized plots. Results of the study indicated that there were 139 tree species belonging to 100 genera and 40 families. The quadrat survey assessed the basal area, stem density, diversity indices and importance value index of the tree species having ${\geq}5cm$ D.B.H (Diameter at Brest Height). The basal area and stem density of the tree species were $20.689{\pm}1.08m^2/ha$ and $1412.93{\pm}64.27stem\;ha^{-1}$ while, diversity indices, i.e. Shannon-Wiener's diversity, Simpson's evenness, Margalef's species richness and Pielou's dominance indices indicated poor diversity in comparison to that of other PAs (Protected Areas) in South-Eastern region of Bangladesh. The structural composition based on height and D.B.H through reverse-J shaped curve indicated higher regeneration and recruitment but removal of trees of large growth classes. Sal (Shorea robusta) was the most dominant tree species that accounts 75% of the total tree individuals in the natural forest patches. However, some associates of Sal, i.e. Bhutum (Hymenodictyon orixensis), Gadila (Careya arborea), and Kusum (Schleichera oleosa) etc. were seemed to be rare in MNP.

Using Grounded Theory. the present study was to discover structure and process of pregnant women's information seeking experience through identifying concepts and relationships of the experience. In-depth interviews were conducted with 16 Participants selected by theoretical sampling. The findings were : 1) Pregnant womens' information seeking was caused by Acceptance of Pregnancy . 2) The phenomenon of information seeking was for Maintaining Normalcy to Pregnancy(MNP), 3) MNP occurred in connection with Perceived Anxiety and Desire to Know 4) Action/interaction Strategies to MNP were related to the Awareness of Ways Acquiring Information. Previous Knowledge. Self-Regulation, and Information Access Environment. 5) Action/interaction Strategies to MNP were Seeking Diagnostic Data of Antenatal Care. Seeking Standard Knowledge. Seeking Experience. and Seeking Emotional Support. 6) As consequences of taking strategies, pregnant women were experienced in Sufficient. or Insufficient. 7) A three-stage process of information seeking was discovered : Comparing, Contextualising, Making sure. 8) In terms of change of information needs during pregnancy, a four-phasic process was discovered. Acceptance Phase. Adjusted Phase, Focusing Phase, and Transitional Phase. Based upon these results. it needs to generate a substantive theory contributed to holistically explain and predict pregnant women's information seeking behavior.
Wood-rot fungi produce extracellular lignin-degrading enzymes, the best known of which are lignin peroxidase, Mn-peroxidase and laccase. In this experiment, some of them produced all of three enzymes. Many other wood-rot fungi produced one or two of those enzymes with various combinations. In this experiment, we tried to clarify the relationship between the pattern of enzyme production and degradative activity of several dye compounds. From the 36 strains of 23 species of wood-rot fungi, Mn-peroxidase activity was found in 30 strains of the fungi tested, whereas the activity of lignin peroxidase and laccase was detected in 11 strains and 12 strains of species, repectively, in Kirks low nitrogen media. In relation to the activity of lignin degrading enzymes and degradation of dye compounds, the white-rot fungi with three kinds of enzymes tested showed the best dye decolorizers. The fungi with Mn-peroxidase activity only decolorized poly R-478 and remazol brilliant blue R dye in proportion to the enzyme activity, while methylene blue, bromophenol blue and congo red dye were degraded in regardless of enzyme activity. Those dyes were degraded in relation to the growth rate of mycelium. Brown-rot fungi did not degrade all the dye compounds except bromophenol blue, in spite of moderate growth rate.
Trametes versicolor has a lignin degrading enzyme system, which is also involved in the degradation of diverse recalcitrant compounds. Manganese-dependent peroxidase (MnP) is one of the lignin degrading enzymes in T. versicolor. In this study, a cDNA clone of a putative MnP-coding gene was cloned and transferred into an expression vector (pBARGPE1) carrying a phosphinothricin resistance gene (bar) as a selectable marker to yield the expression vector, pBARTvMnP2. Transformants were generated through genetic transformation using pBARTvMnP2. The genomic integration of the MnP clone was confirmed by PCR with bar-specific primers. One transformant showed higher enzyme activity than the recipient strain did, and was genetically stable even after 10 consecutive transfers on non-selective medium.
This study applied choice experiment(CE) method(which is included in the stated preference method) to estimate values of some important attributes(i.e. type of estuary, water quality of river in estuary, water quality of sea in estuary, biodiversity level of estuary) of 4 major river(Hangang, Guemgang, Yeongsangang, Nakdonggang) estuaries in Korea. Although the multinomial logit model(MNL) is generally applied to analyse the CE data, testing for IIA assumption with the Hausman and McFadden test in MNL model shows that the IIA assumption in our data is rejected. Therefore, the heteroscedastic extreme value model(HEV) and the multinomial probit model(MNP) which are not based on the IIA assumption are used to analyse our CE data. As results, the coefficients and the elicited economic values of MNL model are seriously distorted if the IIA assumption is not satisfied in MNL model. The estimation results of MNP model show that the economic values are elicited as 352.3 billion won(95% C.I. 261.1 - 477.8 billion won) for natural estuary, 411.5 billion won(95% C.I. 338.5 - 525.5 billion won) for one grade improvement of river water quality in estuary, 358.9 billion won(95% C.I. 292.5 - 457.0 billion won) for one grade improvement of sea water quality in estuary, and 151.9 billion won(95% C.I. 99.0 - 218.6 billion won) for one grade improvement of biodiversity level of estuary. Therefore, the value of estuary is reached to 2,197.0 billion won(95% C.I. 1,721.0 - 2,879.9 billion won) if any natural estuary in 4 major rivers has good water quality of river in estuary(i.e. 2nd grade), good water quality of sea in estuary(i.e. 1st grade), and good biodiversity level of estuary.

Cobalt ferrocyanide (CoFC) or nickel ferrocyanide (NiFC) magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) were fabricated for efficient removal of radioactive cesium, followed by rapid magnetic separation of the absorbent from contaminated water. The $Fe_3O_4$ nanoparticles, synthesized using a co-precipitation method, were coated with succinic acid (SA) to immobilize the Co or Ni ions through metal coordination to carboxyl groups in the SA. CoFC or NiFC was subsequently formed on the surfaces of the MNPs as Co or Ni ions coordinated with the hexacyanoferrate ions. The CoFC-MNPs and NiFC-MNPs possess good saturation magnetization values ($43.2emu{\cdot}g^{-1}$ for the CoFC-MNPs, and $47.7emu{\cdot}g^{-1}$ for the NiFC-MNPs). The fabricated CoFC-MNPs and NiFC-MNPs were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, TEM, and DLS. The adsorption capability of the CoFC-MNPs and NiFC-MNPs in removing cesium ions from water was also investigated. Batch experiments revealed that the maximum adsorption capacity values were $15.63mg{\cdot}g^{-1}$ (CoFC-MNPs) and $12.11mg{\cdot}g^{-1}$ (NiFC-MNPs). Langmuir/Freundlich adsorption isotherm equations were used to fit the experimental data and evaluate the adsorption process. The CoFC-MNPs and NiFC-MNPs exhibited a removal efficiency exceeding 99.09% for radioactive cesium from $^{137}Cs$ solution ($18-21Bq{\cdot}g^{-1}$). The adsorbent selectively adsorbed $^{137}Cs$, even in the presence of competing cations.

The customer retention is one of major goals for telecommunication service providers as MNP(Mobile Number Portability) would be enforced soon. The purpose of this study is to construct a customer retention model by (1) extracting the statistically significant determinants that influence on the Out-bounding churn and In-bounding churn separately and (2) ranking the importance of sub-factors to minimize Out-bounding churn and to satisfy In-bounding churn. This model applies to domestic wireless telecommunication service providers and customer retention strategies are suggested based on the result.

We demonstrate herein the synthesis and modification of magnetic nanoparticles and its use in the immobilization of the lipase. Magnetic $Fe_3O_4$ nanoparticles (MNPs) were prepared by simple co-precipitation method in aqueous medium and then subsequently modified with tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and 3-aminopropyl triethylenesilane (APTES). Silanization magnetic nanoparticles (SMNP) and amino magnetic nanomicrosphere (AMNP) were synthesized successfully. The morphology, structure, magnetic property and chemical composition of the synthetic MNP and its derivatives were characterized using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analysis, X-ray diffraction, superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) and thermogravimetric analyses (TGA). All of these three nanoparticles exhibited good crystallization performance, apparent superparamagnetism, and the saturation magnetization of MNP, SMNP, AMNP were 47.9 emu/g, 33.0 emu/g and 19.5 emu/g, respectively. The amino content was 5.66%. The AMNP was used to immobilize lipase, and the maximum adsorption capacity of the protein was 26.3 mg/g. The maximum maintained activity (88 percent) was achieved while the amount of immobilized lipase was 23.7 mg $g^{-1}$. Immobilization of enzyme on the magnetic nanoparticles can facilitate the isolation of reaction products from reaction mixture and thus lowers the cost of enzyme application.
This study was done to know a kind and change (transition) of enzymes produceed by Streptomyces halstedii ssp. scabies SA1-27 and Streptomyces violaceusinger C1-6 which showed good lignolytic activity and a good decolorization ratio of remazol brilliant blue R(RBBR) dye. These strains were isolated from soil and identified by the author. The basal medium containg 0.2% glucose was used to measure enzyme activity, Lignin peroxidase 1 (Lip 1) was measured by the methods of Choi, and Bourbonnais and Paice. Lignin peroxidase 2 (Lip 2) was measured by the methods of Ishida et al and Ramachandra et al using 2.4-dichlorophenol(2.4 DCP), manganese peroxidase(Mnp), veratryl alcohol oxidase (VAO), and laccase. They were measured by each of the methods of Choi and Paszczynski et al, and Bourbonnais and Paice, and De Jong et al. In the results, the kind of enzymes produced by Streptomyces halstedii ssp. scabies SA1-27 were Lip 1, Lip 2, VAO, and laccase, and their activities indicated the highest value as each 4.95 nmol/mg protein, $8.45({\times}100^{-3})unit$, 10.25 nmol/mg protein, 9.20 nmol/mg protein on the sixth day of the culture and decreased gradually over time. The kind of enzymes produced by Streptomyces violaceusinger C1-6 were Lip 1, Lip 2, Mnp, VAO, and laccase, and their activities indicated the highest value as each 4.90 nmol/mg protein, $13.85({\times}100^{-3})unit$, 3.10 nmol/mg protein, 11.30 nmol/mg protein, 4.45 nmol/mg protein on the sixth day of the culture and decreased gradually over time. Consequently, the author knew the fact that there were few differences in the kind and quantity of enzymes produced by the two Streptomyces strains, but all enzyme activities indicated the highest value on the sixth day of the culture and decreased gradually over time.
