λ/4 Hair-pin 공진기를 이용한 LTCC MLC 대역통과 여파기의 설계 (The Design of LTCC MLC Bandpass Filters Using λ/4 Hair-pin Resonators)

  • In this thesis, a λ/4 hair-pin resonator is proposed to reduce the size of resonators. A LTCC MLC bandpass filter is designed using the λ/4 hair-pin resonators. The electromagnetic coupling structure between two planar resonators is analysed. The equivalent circuit is derived to explain the behavior of the LTCC MLC bandpass filter using λ/4 hair-pin resonators. A design procedure is also described. The simulated and measured results of 2-pole bandpass filter are presented.

  • 본 논문에서는 λ/4 hair-pin 공진기를 이용한 LTCC MLC 대역통과 여파기를 제안하였다. λ/4 hair-pin 공진기는 부분적인 평행 결합선로와 그 선폭이 동일한 전송선로로 구성되어, 등가적으로 SIR이 되므로 기존의 SIR과 달리 구조적인 불연속 없이 공진기의 크기를 소형화할 수 있다. 부가적인 용량성 결합을 포함한 λ/4 hair-pin 공진기를 이용한 LTCC MLC 대역통과 여파기의 등가회로를 유도하고, 설계 절차를 기술하였다 1.8 GHz대역에서 2단의 대역통과 여파기를 설계, 제작하였다.

  • This paper presents the design method and performance characteristics of a chip-type quadrature hybrid using LTCC-MLC technology. The design method for a chip-type quadrature hybrid is based on lumped element equivalent circuit of quarter-wave transformer. The chip-type quadrature hybrid was miniaturized to a greater extent using multilayer structure and lumped element. The proposed design method can also reduce the undesirable parasitic effects of the chip-type quadrature hybrid. The proposed chip-type quadrature hybrid was designed and fabricated using the proposed design method and the equivalent circuit model of a quarter-wave transformer. Fabrication and measurement of designed chip-type quadrature hybrid show much smaller size than a conventional distributed quadrature hybrid and a good agreement with simulated results.

  • A low-temperature cofired-ceramic (LTCC) multi-layer ceramic (MLC) band-pass filter (BPF) is presented, which has the benefits of low cost and small size. The BPF is designed for a IMT-2000 handset. The computer-aided design technology is also presented. The BPF with an attenuation pole at below the passband has been discussed and realized. The equivalent circuit of the BPF was established by transmission lines and lumped capacitors. The frequency characteristics of the LTCC-MLC BPF is well acceptable for IMT-2000 application.

The BPF consists of coulped stripline resonators and coupling capacitors. The BPF is designed to have an attenuation pole at below the passband for a receiver band of IMT-2000 handset. The computer-aided design technology is applied for analysis of the BPF frequency characteristics. The passband and attenuation pole depend the coupling between resonators and coupling capacitance. The frequency characterics of the passband and attenuation pole are analysed with the variance of the coupling between resonators and coupling capacitance. An equivalent circuit and structure of MLC chip BPF are proposed. The frequency characteristics of the BPF is well acceptable for IMT-2000 application.

  • Recently, electronic equipments become smaller, more functional, and more complex than before. As these trends, MLC(multi-layer ceramic) circuit has been emerged to a promising technology in semiconductor inspection industry. Especially, multi-layer ceramic which is consisted of many fine-pitch multi-hole is used to produce a semiconductor inspection unit. The hole is processed by UV laser. But, working conditions are changed all the time. Therefore real time measurement of fine-pitch multi-hole is very important method for ensuring performance. In this paper we found the best method for illuminating and auto focusing. And, we verified our equipment.

  • 본 논문은 MLC 타입 낸드 플래시 메모리의 오류 정정을 위한 병렬 BCH 복호기 설계를 제안한다. 제안된 BCH 복호기는 다중 바이트 병렬 연산을 지원한다. 병렬 계수 증가에 따른 회로 크기 증가폭을 줄이기 위해, LFSR 기반 병렬 신드롬 생성기 구조를 적용하였다. 제안된 BCH 복호기는 VHDL을 이용하여 합성되었고, Xilinx FPGA를 이용하여 동작을 검증하였다. 검증 결과 제안된 신드롬 생성기는 기존 바이트-단위의 병렬 신드롬 생성기에 비해 성능을 2.4배 증가시켰다. GFM 방식의 병렬 신드롬 생성기와 비교하여, 동작 완료에 따른 사이클 수는 동일하나, 회로 크기는 1/3 이하로 감소됨을 확인하였다.

  • BiN $b_{0.975}$S $b_{0.025}$ $O_4$저온 동시 소결 세라믹 후막 및 적층 세라믹(Multi-Layer Ceramic, MLC) 공정 기술을 이용한 소형 마이크로파 필터를 설계 및 제작하였다. MLC 칩 대역 통과 필터(BPF)는 소형화와 낮은 가격이라는 장점을 가지고 있다. 제안된 필터는 stripline 공진기와 결합 캐패시터로 구성되며, IMT-2000용 단말기의 수신단 통과 대역에 적합하며 통과 대역 아래쪽 저지 대역에 감쇠극이 형성되도록 설계하였다. 상용 마이크로파 회로 및 구조 설계 tool를 이용하여 제안된 MLC칩 대역 통과 필터의 공진기 전자기적 결합량 변화 및 결합 캐패시턴스에 따른 필터의 주파수 특성, 특히 감쇠극의 위치 변화에 대해 살펴보았다. 제작된 MLC 칩 BPF의 주파수 특성은 시뮬레이션 결과와 매우 일치하였다.
