  • To day, the number of small game developer has increased, developers who lacked financial resources have difficulty in creating various and quality maps. However, if applied in game that randomly generated maps, development time and human costs will be significantly reduce. In this paper, we describe a method for generating 3D maps with smooth noise maps, can be used in games.

  • In this paper, we provide a mechanism to map topics between similar Topic Map ontologies, which enlarge the capacities of current Topic Maps. That is, there is no explicit way to map topics across multiple Topic Maps in current technology. Therefore, our approach provide semi-automatic or automatic mapping of topics between Topic Maps. In order to map the topics, we provide precise definitions of mapping properties and mapping rules.

  • The objective of this paper is to compare the prediction performances of different landslide hazard maps based on topographic data stemming from different sources of elevation. The geostatistical framework of kriging, which can properly integrate spatial data with different accuracy, is applied for generating more reliable elevation estimates from both sparse elevation spot heights and exhaustive ASTER-based elevation values. A case study from Boeun, Korea illustrates that the integration of elevation and slope maps derived from different data yielded different prediction performances for landslide hazard mapping. The landslide hazard map constructed by using the elevation and the associated slope maps based on geostatistical integration of spot heights and ASTER-based elevation resulted in the best prediction performance. Landslide hazard mapping using elevation and slope maps derived from the interpolation of only sparse spot heights showed the worst prediction performance.

  • This paper presents a GCP marking technique using scanned maps. Twelve maps with a scale of 1:250, 000 were scanned and stored as raster images. The distortion factors of scanned maps were modelled by polynomials. The coefficients of the polynomials were determined by a least squre fit. This technique does not require a bulky and expensive digitizing table so that it is suitable for a low-cost pre-processing system. The GCP marking using this technique showed a sufficient accuracy for KITSAT1, 2 narrow camera images.

  • In this article, we shall prove a common fixed point theorem for two weakly compatible self-maps 𝒫 and 𝔔 on a dislocated metric space (M, d*) satisfying the following ξ-weakly expansive condition: d*(𝒫c, 𝒫d) ≥ d* (𝔔c, 𝔔d) + ξ(∧(𝔔c, 𝔔d)), ∀ c, d ∈ M, where $${\wedge}(Qc,\;Qd)=max\{d^*(Qc,\;Qd),\;d^*(Qc,\;\mathcal{P}c),\;d^*(Qd,\;\mathcal{P}d),\;\frac{d^*(Qc,\;\mathcal{P}c){\cdot}d^*(Qd,\;\mathcal{P}d)}{1+d^*(Qc,\;Qd)},\;\frac{d^*(Qc,\;\mathcal{P}c){\cdot}d^*(Qd,\;\mathcal{P}d)}{1+d^*(\mathcal{P}c,\;\mathcal{P}d)}\}$$. Also, we have proved common fixed point theorems for the above mentioned weakly compatible self-maps along with E.A. property and (CLR) property. An illustrative example is also provided to support our results.

  • We define an almost Norden submersion (holomorphic and semi-Riemannian submersion) between almost Norden manifolds and show that, in most of the cases, the base manifold has the similar kind of structure as that of total manifold. We obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for almost Norden submersion to be a totally geodesic map. We also derive decomposition theorems for the total manifold of such submersions. Moreover, we study the harmonicity of almost Norden submersions between almost Norden manifolds and between Kaehler-Norden manifolds. Finally, we derive conditions for an almost Norden submersion to be a harmonic morphism.
