CVD-Si3N4/CVD-SiC/pack-SiC/pyro-carbon/(3-D C/C composite) multilayer coating was performed to improve the oxdiation resistance and erosion resistance properteis of the 3-D carbon/carbon composite, and the plasma test was performed to measure the oxidation resistance and erosion resistance properties. The thicknesses of each film layer were about 10${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ for pack-SiC, 5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ for CVD-SiC and 40${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ for CVD-Si3N4. When the multilayer coated specimen was exposed to the plasma flame with temperature of 500$0^{\circ}C$ for 20 seconds, it showed the weight loss five times less than that of the only pyro-carbon coated specimen.
The primary productivity and chlorophyll a were measured at 3 stations in the western channel of the Korea Strait throughout the year from November 1983 to September 1984. The surface primary productivity in autumn 1983 ranged from 9.24-13.05 mg $C/m^3/h$ and chlorophyll a from $0.66-1.22\;mg/m^3$, and showed the highest value throughout the year. The surface primary productivity in winter 1984 ranged from 0.75-1.77 m $C/m^3/h$ and chlorophyll a from $0.19-0.41\;mg/m^3$. and these values were higher than those in summer. The surface primary productivity in spring 1984 ranged from 3.42-6.68 mg $C/m^3/h$ and chlorophyll a from $0.34-0.64\;mg/m^3$, and these values were lower than those in autumn. The surface primary productivity in summer 1984 ranged from 0.57-0.79 mg $C/m^3/h$ and chlorophyll a from $0.11-0.17\;mg/m^3$, and showed the lowest value throughout the year. The assimilation number of surface phytoplankton populations were relatively high, especially high value in autumn and spring, and low value in winter. The primary productivity and assimilation number were rapidly decreased with the increase of depth.

This study was carried out to know the effect of light intensity, temperature and $CO_2$ concentration on photosynthesis and transpiration in Hovenia dulcis Thunb. Light compensation point was $2.4\;{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}\;s^{-1}$ and light saturation point was $1033\;{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}\;s^{-1}$. The optimum temperature for photosynthesis was $25^{\circ}C$ at $1000\;{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}\;s^{-1}$ light intensity. $CO_2$ compensation point was 67 vpm and $CO_2$ saturation point was 707 vpm. Transpiration rate was increased to about $2\;mmol\;m^{-2}\;s^{-1}$ with increasing of light intensity to $1750\;{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}\;s^{-1}$ and to above $4\;mmol\;m^{-2}\;s^{-1}$ with increasing of temperature from $18^{\circ}C$ to $36^{\circ}C$. however It was gradually reduced as $CO_2$ concentration increased from 21 vpm to 800 vpm.
This study was to investigate the changes of shape of the lower limb surface, the rate of the measurement of expansion and contraction and correlation coefficient between variables caused by hip joint and knee joint movements. The results of the investigation are as follows; 1. According to the development figure of shell when the leg was raised $45^{\circ}$forward($M_{2}$), total length of F.L shortened while B.L lengthened. This result is contarary to $M_{3}$raising the leg $15^{\circ}$ backward. In both $M_{2}$, $M_{3}$movements, the rate of expansion and contraction to the course direction was insignificant. When hip joint was bent $15^{\circ}$ with knee joint $120^{\circ}$bent ($M_{4}$) and hip joint was bent $30^{\circ}$ with knee joint $90^{\circ}$ bent($M_{5}$), upper section of back hip expanded while the front hip section contracted slightly. In the Movement of sitting on the chair($M_{6}$), abdomen, front hip section and upper thight section contracted to the wale direction remarkably while the back hip section expanded conspicuously. 2. According to the rate of expansion and contraction of skin (surface) by the somatometry. In $M_{2}$, C.F.L. upper and middle thight girth contracted and B.L, C.L, L.L expanded. This fact is contarary to M3. In M4, M5, C.F.L showed remarkable contraction and C.B.L expanded remarkably. In $M_{6}$, C.B.L contracted most of all the items measured and knee girth, F.L, L.L, C.B.L, hip girth expanded conspicuously. 3. According to the correlation coefficient between variables. In various movements, the correlation among girth items commonly showed a high or middle grade, the correlation among length items also commonly showed a low grade and that girth and length items showed a very low grade commonly. Waist girth, hip grith, F.L, B.L, L.L items showed that there were significant correlation.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of temperature control by a shade tree and the lawn area. In this investigation, we find out that artificial-lawn, concerte, and exposed soil are more higher temperature than covered with plant materials. The results of the measurement may to summerized as follows; 1) Low-temperature effects of zoysia japonica is more controlled by condition of growth than leaf length of grass. Surface temperature make 0.7$^{\circ}C$ difference between long grass (15cm), and short grass (5cm), but make 5$^{\circ}C$ difference between good growth grass (230/10$\textrm{cm}^2$) and bad growth grass (80/10$\textrm{cm}^2$). 2) The surface temperature of the lawn area is 40.5$^{\circ}C$ lower on a maxinum than that of the artificial lawn (July 28, 1985). During the day of summer, shade area under the shade tree is 0.9$^{\circ}C$ lower then lawn area surface temperature, 6.9$^{\circ}C$ lower than bad growth lawn, 10.3$^{\circ}C$ lower than exposed soil, and 18$^{\circ}C$ lower than concrete surface temperature. 3) Natural irrigation effect on the surface temperature fluctuation. But this effect is changed by compositions of ground materials and time-lapse. 4) Sunny day is more effective than cloud day. 5) In summer season, surface temperature make a difference compare to temperature of 0.5-1.5m height from ground : Surface temperature is 3.4$^{\circ}C$ lower at the lawn area (11 a.m.), 4.2$^{\circ}C$ lower at the shade area the shade tree, 12.7$^{\circ}C$ higher at the concrete area (3p.m.), 38.8$^{\circ}C$ higher at the artificial lawn (2p.m.) 6) According to compositions of ground materials and season have specific vertical temperature distribution curve. 7) In summer season, temperature distribution of 0.5-1.5m hight at the shade tree is 4.8-5.7$^{\circ}C$ lower than concrete area (noon-3p.m.)

We were investigated the stability through the electrochemical characteristics of saturated fatty acid(C12, C14, C16, C18) monolayer LB films by cyclic voltammetry. Saturated fatty acid monolayer LB films was deposited on the indium tin oxide(ITO) glass by the LB method. The electrochemical properties were measured by cyclic voltammetry with a three-electrode system in 0.1 N $NaClO_4$ solution. The measuring range was continuously oxidized to 1650 mV, with an initial potential of -1350 mV was reduced. Scanning rates of 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 mV/s were set. As a result, LB monolayer films of saturated fatty acid were appeared on irreversible processes by the oxidation current from the cyclic voltammogram. Diffusion coefficient(D) of saturated fatty acid(C12, C14, C16, and C18) was calculated 22.231, 2.461, 7.114 and 2.371 ($cm^2s^{-1}{\times}10^{-4}$) in 0.1 N $NaClO_4$ solution, respectively.
Primary productivity was determined by using $^{13}C$ tracer according to different cell size of phytoplank-ton through in situ incubation experiments in upper stream of the Lake Shihwa. The average concentration of chlorophyll a was 14 ${\mu}g\;L^{-1}$ demonstrating an eutrophic water. The ratio of POC/Chl-a was lower than 30, reflecting that the origin of organic matter might be mainly phytoplankton. The primary productivity was 93.9 mgC m^{-2}\;d^{-1}$ at St. 1, which was about 40-fold lower than the average value of the lake (3,972 mgC m^{-2}\;d^{-1}$) determined by Choi et al. (1997) before opening of gate but it was higher than the average primary productivity (3.98 mgC m^{-2}\;d^{-1}$) reported by KOWACO in 1993 before constructing dam. The fractionated size (20 ${\sim}$ 53 ${\mu}m$) of phytoplankton community account for 51% of total primary productivity, indicating the highest assimilation rate. This study suggest that $^{13}C$ tracer methodology should be applied as a useful approach for the water ecological research in the future.
PURPOSE. To evaluate the effects of surface treatments on shear bond strength (SBS) between microwave and conventionally sintered zirconia core/veneers. MATERIALS AND METHODS. 96 disc shaped Noritake Alliance zirconia specimens were fabricated using YenaDent CAM unit and were divided in 2 groups with respect to microwave or conventional methods (n=48/group). Surface roughness (Ra) evaluation was made with a profilometer on randomly selected microwave (n=10) and conventionally sintered (n=10) cores. Specimens were then assessed into 4 subgroups according to surface treatments applied (n=12/group). Groups for microwave (M) and conventionally (C) sintered core specimens were as follows; $M_C$,$C_C$: untreated (control group), $M_1,C_1:Al_2O_3$ sandblasting, $M_2,C_2$:liner, $M_3,C_3:Al_2O_3$ sandblasting followed by liner. Veneer ceramic was fired on zirconia cores and specimens were thermocycled (6000 cycles between $5^{\circ}-55^{\circ}C$). All specimens were subjected to SBS test using a universal testing machine at 0.5 mm/min, failure were evaluated under an optical microscope. Data were statistically analyzed using Shapiro Wilk, Levene, Post-hoc Tukey HSD and Student's t tests, Two-Way-Variance- Analysis and One-Way-Variance-Analysis (${\alpha}$=.05). RESULTS. Conventionally sintered specimens ($1.06{\pm}0.32{\mu}m$) showed rougher surfaces compared to microwave sintered ones ($0.76{\pm}0.32{\mu}m$)(P=.046), however, no correlation was found between SBS and surface roughness (r=-0.109, P=.658). The statistical comparison of the shear bond strengths of $C_3$ and $C_1$ group (P=.015); $C_C$ and $M_C$ group (P=.004) and $C_3$ and $M_3$ group presented statistically higher (P=.005) values. While adhesive failure was not seen in any of the groups, cohesive and combined patterns were seen in all groups. CONCLUSION. Based on the results of this in-vitro study, $Al_2O_{3-}$ sandblasting followed by liner application on conventionally sintered zirconia cores may be preferred to enhance bond strength.
Silica gel column chromatography of the ether extract of the root of Angelica Koreana $M_{AXIMOWICZ}$ (Umbelliferae) gave five kinds of crystalline products of coumarin. The following kinds of furocoumarins were identified by UV, IR, NMR spectra and physico-chemical tests. iso-imperatorin m.p. 108-$109^{\circ}$$C_{16}H_{14}O_{4}$ oxypeucedanin m.p. 142-$143^{\circ}$$C_{16}H_{14}O_{5}$ prangolarine m.p. 104-$105^{\circ}$$C_{16}H_{14}O_{5}$ imperatorin m.p. 100-$101^{\circ}$$C_{16}H_{14}O_{4}$ These analyses also showed that white needles m.p. 129-$130^{\circ}$ were likely to be a furocoumarin. Besides, the methanol extract of the root was found to contain sucrose.
