Generalized Fibonacci and Lucas sequences ($U_n$) and ($V_n$) are defined by the recurrence relations $U_{n+1}=PU_n+QU_{n-1}$ and $V_{n+1}=PV_n+QV_{n-1}$, $n{\geq}1$, with initial conditions $U_0=0$, $U_1=1$ and $V_0=2$, $V_1=P$. This paper deals with Fibonacci and Lucas numbers of the form $U_n$(P, Q) and $V_n$(P, Q) with the special consideration that $P{\geq}3$ is odd and Q = -1. Under these consideration, we solve the equations $V_n=5kx^2$, $V_n=7kx^2$, $V_n=5kx^2{\pm}1$, and $V_n=7kx^2{\pm}1$ when $k{\mid}P$ with k > 1. Moreover, we solve the equations $V_n=5x^2{\pm}1$ and $V_n=7x^2{\pm}1$.

본 논문에서는 피라미드 기반 광류 추정 방법과 이를 이용하여 영상 내 임의의 점 추적 알고리즘에 대해 설명한다. 본 논문에서는 Lucas-Kanade 광류 추정 방법을 기반으로 광류를 계산하였다. 작은 움직임에 민감하면서 큰 움직임까지 계산할 수 있도록 영상 피라미드를 사용하였고, 영상 피라미드와 Lucas-Kanade 광류 추정 방법을 혼합하는 과정에서 영상 피라미드의 하위수준으로 내려갈수록 증폭되는 광류 추정 오차를 줄이기 위한 정제방범을 제안하였다. 또한 광류의 제약조건과 부화소 보간을 이용하여 광류 추정의 정확도를 높였으며, 추적하고자 하는 영상내의 임의의 점 주변의 광류 값을 이용하여 테두리나 모퉁이 같은 특징이 없는 점들의 추적도 가능하도록 하였다. 본 논문에서는 웹 카메라를 이용하여 제안된 알고리즘의 광류 계산 결과와 임의의 점 추적 결과를 제시한다.

본 연구는 병원 전 환경에서 기계식 가슴압박기(LUCAS)와 수기심폐소생술의 비교실험을 통해 가슴압박의 질을 평가하고 기계적 가슴압박기를 사용한 효과적인 전문심장소생술을 제안하는데 그 목적이 있다. 병원 전 심정지상황을 가정하고 구급대원이 3인 1조로 현장에서 수기심폐소생술과 LUCAS를 이용한 심폐소생술을 적용하고, 구급차로 이송하며 수기심폐소생술과 LUCAS를 이용한 심폐소생술을 시행하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현장과 이송중의 수기심폐소생술의 비교결과 현장에서 수기심폐소생술이 평균압박깊이와 압박률, 이완율에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다(p<.001). 둘째, 현장에서 수기심폐소생술과 LUCAS를 비교한 결과 LUCAS가 압박률, 이완율에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다(p<.001). 셋째, 구급차로 이송중 수기심폐소생술과 LUCAS를 비교한 결과 평균압박깊이, 압박률, 분당압박횟수에서 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<.001). 위와 같은 결과로 보아 LUCAS는 적절한 압력으로 가슴압박을 수행할 수 있고, 그 동안 구급대원의 전문기도기 삽입, 정맥로 확보 등의 전문심장소생술을 추가적으로 수행할 수 있으며 환자의 소생률을 높이는데 기여할 것이다.

Let Q and R be the well-known matrices associated with Fibonacci and Lucas numbers, and k, m, and n be any integers. It is mainly established all solutions of the matrix equations c₁Qⁿ + c₂Q^m = Q^k, c₁Qⁿ + c₂Q^m = RQ^k, and c₁Qⁿ + c₂RQ^m = Q^k with unknowns c₁, c₂ ∈ ℂ*. Moreover, using the obtained results, it is presented many identities, some of them are available in the literature, and the others are new, related to the Fibonacci and Lucas numbers.

일반적으로 이동 물체 추적은 움직임 및 회전, 크기에 견고한 루카스-카나데 특징 추적 방법이 많이 사용된다. 그러나 이 방법은 추적하던 이동 물체가 배경이나, 다른 물체 등으로 인해 추적하는 물체가 가려질 경우, 이동 물체를 추적하지 못하고 배경이나 다른 물체 등을 추적하거나, 추적이 종료된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 루카스-카나데 특징 추적 방법에 평가 함수와 이동 물체 추적 예측을 도입하여, 가림현상에도 이동 물체를 추적하는 방법을 제안한다.

The notion of the generalized Fibonacci matrix $\mathcal{F}_n^{(a,b,s)}$ of type s, whose nonzero elements are generalized Fibonacci numbers, is introduced in the paper [23]. Regular case s = 0 is investigated in [23]. In the present article we consider singular case s = -1. Pseudoinverse of the generalized Fibonacci matrix $\mathcal{F}_n^{(a,b,-1)}$ is derived. Correlations between the matrix $\mathcal{F}_n^{(a,b,-1)}$ and the Pascal matrices are considered. Some combinatorial identities involving generalized Fibonacci numbers are derived. A class of test matrices for computing the Moore-Penrose inverse is presented in the last section.

In this paper, firstly we compute the spectral norm of g-circulant matrices $C_{n,g}=g-Circ(c_0,c_1,{\cdots},c{_{n-1}})$, where $c_i{\geq}0$ or $c_i{\leq}0$ (equivalently $c_i{\cdot}c_j{\geq}0$). After, we compute the spectral norms, determinants and inverses of the g-circulant matrices with the Fibonacci and Lucas numbers.

We synthesize the recent work done on conditionally defined Lucas and Fibonacci numbers, tying together various definitions and results generalizing the linear recurrence relation. Allowing for any initial conditions, we determine the generating function and a Binet-like formula for the general sequence, in both the positive and negative directions, as well as relations among various sequence pairs. We also determine conditions for periodicity of these sequences and graph some recurrent figures in Python.

Assuming an intramolecular hydrogen-bonding, computation has been made on the optical rotatory power of 2-Chloro-1-Propanol. The magnitude of the calculated rotation is in fair agreement with the measured value of Lucas (calculated value: 21.6. measured value: 17.39). The agreement supports the validity of the assumption concerning the hydrogen-bonding between O atom and Cl atom. The agreement in sign confirms the validity the Fischer projection formula given by Lucas.
