  • Consumers who purchase products from foreign countries and deliver them back to Korea are increasing. According to the Korea Fashion & Textile News (2015), overseas direct shopping reported 39% increase compared to 2013. Furthermore, clothes accounted for 19% of product category. Therefore, the service quality of overseas purchase sites is becoming more important, but studies have been limited. this research focuses on investigating the effects of consumers' shopping orientation on service quality and the effects of service quality on trust, satisfaction, and consumer loyalty. The survey was administered to consumers who had experiences in purchasing through overseas direct purchase websites. The results showed that the perception of service quality differed depending on the respondent's shopping orientation. Among the four shopping orientation groups(shopping confidence, shopping enjoyment, trend pursuit, and shopping follower groups), the shopping confidence group showed the highest mean for all service quality factors. All the groups showed the highest scores on product and trust among the factors of service quality. Next, the results revealed that service quality positively influenced consumers' trust on websites that provide overseas direct purchase services, which further improved customer loyalty. Therefore, the study gives managerial suggestions to online retailers that provide oversea shopping service. They need to provide higher site efficiency, security, product reliability, and responsiveness to cultivate international customers' trust and satisfaction. In particular, it will be important for them to offer accurate, reliable product information and various languages for overseas customers.

  • Under the needs to study the predictors of the frontline employees' service-oriented organizational citizenship behaviors(OCBs) in the hotel industry, this study aimed to the influence of goal orientations on the OCBs. The two factors of performance goal and learning goal orientations were hypothesized to influence each dimension of OCBs(loyalty, service delivery, and participation). The data from 266 five star deluxe hotel employees were analyzed with descriptive statistics, multi-variate analysis of variance, and structural equation modeling conducted using SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 20.0. The results showed learning goal orientation positively influenced all dimensions of the OCBs while performance goal orientation positively influenced all dimensions except loyalty. These results suggest that hotel practitioners need to seek the applicants who are willingly oriented to specific goals at recruiting process. Furthermore, hotel organizations need to utilize the employees' goal approach to motivate their performances.

Communication did not significantly affect reliability. Second, customer reliability positively affected commitment, so commitment increased as customer reliability increased. Third, customer reliability positively affected shop loyalty, so shop loyalty increased as customer reliability increased. Fourth, customer commitment positively affected shop loyalty, so shop loyalty increased as customer commitment increased.

  • The purpose of this study is 1) to develop and validate the BRQ construct perceived by brand loyal consumers, 2) to evaluate the predictive capacity of the individual BRQ dimension and brand relationship benefit on consumers' relationship intention, and 3) to identify the distinctive loyalty orientation based on the concept of BRQ. Questionnaire data from 379 brand loyal consumers on BRQ, brand relationship benefit, relationship intention, and their brand loyal behavior pattern were analyzed. The results showed that brand loyal consumers' BRQ composed of 3 dimensions including 'compensational bind', 'self attachment', and 'trust'. In addition, the mediating role of BRQ in predicting consumers' loyal relationship intention was validated using the structural equation model. Regarding the effect of each BRQ dimension on loyal relationship intention, consumers' intention to be loyal to an apparel brand was more explained by self attachment than the other dimensions. This study also intended to provide a useful direction to apparel brands in finding out which relationship quality type is more effective for differentiated marketing strategies by comparing the BRQ of single-brand loyal consumers and that of multi-brand loyal consumers.

Non-probability sampling was conducted using purposive sampling method based on predetermined criteria, which are customers who have already purchase and use green brand products. A total of 402 samples were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling. The result shows that the data support hypotheses on egoistic and biospheric value, hypotheses on green functional benefit effect to green satisfaction and green loyalty, as well as green monetary cost effect to green loyalty. The other hypotheses are not supported by data. As a conclusion, it is egoistic and biospheric value that has positive effect on green loyalty, while green functional benefit and green monetary cost act as mediation between the value orientation and green loyalty. As managerial implication, green brand marketing strategy should incorporate egoistic and biospheric values in messages in advertising and promotion.

We collected and analyzed the survey data from the customers who had experienced rural tourism before. The results from the empirical analysis are as follows. First, through the exploratory factor analysis, four factors such as customer orientation, responsive attraction, professionalism, and ties were derived. Second, it was found all four factors have significant positive effects on loyalty. Third, both responsive attraction and professionalism have significant positive effects on perceived customer value. However, customer orientation and ties do not have significant effects. Fourth, the perceived customer value showed a full mediating effect between responsive attraction and loyalty, whereas it showed a partial mediating effect between professionalism and loyalty. Additionally, it was found that gender did not affect loyalty but significantly affected perceived customer value. This means that women had lower perceived value for rural tourism than men. To improve the loyalty of rural tourism, it is necessary to improve customer orientation, professionalism, ties, and perceived customer value.

  • This study shows the importance of human factors in relationship marketing by revealing the influence of Hanbok salesperson's attributes on relationship quality and long-term relationship orientation at the time when a culture is newly understood. A questionnaire surveyed 376 women living around the Seoul and Daejeon Metropolitan areas from February to March 2013. SPSS WIN 20.0 and AMOS 20.0 programs analyzed the gathered data. We review the influence of Hanbok salesperson's attributes (expertise, ethics, communication skill, customer orientation, similarity, and likeability) on relationship quality and behavioral intention. The research indicates that only customer orientation and Hanbok salesperson's expertise attributes influence relationship quality. All the attributes had a positive influence; in addition, the relationship quality had a significant influence on customer loyalty. However, communication skill, similarity, and likeability did not influence relationship quality. Customer orientation, which provides a customized service based on the recognition of individual customer trends and expertise in developing a relationship with customers, are important factors to form relationship quality and loyalty.
