무성방전내에서 톨루엔 제거에 미치는 운전변수의 영향 (Effects of Operating Parameters on Toluene Removal in Dielectric Barrier Discharge Process)

  • We investigated the effects of operating variables, such as electrical. reactor and gas parameters on toluene removal and discharge property in the dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) process. The toluene removal was initiated with the energy transfer to the reactor by loading of voltages higher than the discharge onset value. The energy transfer and toluene removal increased with the applied voltage. Higher removal rate was observed with smooth surface electrode despite of lower energy transfer compared with the coarse electrode, because more uniform discharge can be obtained on smooth surface state. The decrease of dielectric material thickness enhanced the removal efficiency by increasing the discharge potential. The toluene removal efficiency decreased with the increase of the inlet concentration. The increase of gas retention time enhanced the removal efficiency by the increase of energy density. The oxygen and humidity contents seem to exert significant influences on the toluene removal by dominating the generation of electrons, ions, and radicals which are key factors in the removal mechanism.

  • In this paper, investigated are the machining characteristics such as material removal rate and machining time with respect to discharge area and capacitance in micro electrical discharge machining (MEDM). As discharge area determined by the electrode size and capacitance change, the optimal feedrate to allow the minimum machining time changes. The smaller discharge area is, the lower MRR becomes because of the area effect. As the capacitance increases, MRR also increases. However there is the limit capacitance beyond which the MRR does not increase anymore. As the discharge area increases, the limit capacitance also increases.

중첩 방전 반응기에 의한 NOx의 분해 특성 (The Characteristics of Decomposition of NOx by Superposing Discharge Plasma Reactor)

  • 본 연구에서는 연소공정에서 발생하는 NOx를 제거하기 위해 연면방전과 AC Corona 방전을 중첩해서 특수설계 제작된 중첩방전 반응기의 방전분해 특성을 연구하였다. 실험은 SPCP, Corona Discharge 및 중첩방전에 대한 NOx의 분해율을 비교 측정하였다. 실험변수는 방전형태, 가스의 농도, 방전주파수, 가스의 유량 등에 대하여 측정하였다. 실험결과 중첩방전에 의한 NOx의 분해율은 SPCP방전고 Corona방전에 의한 분해율보다 10∼15[%] 증가하였고 소모전력도 10[%] 정도 작게 소모되었다. 중첩방전시 상부전극의 주파수의 영향은 주파수가 작을수록 NOx의 분해율이 높았고 하부전극의 SPCP만의 방전시에는 주파수가 높을수록 NOx의 분해율이 증가하였다. 방전형태에 대한 NOx의 최대분해율은 SPCP일 때 방전전력 18[W]에서 80[%] 이었고 AC코로나 방전일 때 방전전력 805[W]에서 10[%] 이었으나 중첩방전의 경우는 14[W]에서 90[%]로 중첩방전의 효과는 10[%]이상 증가하였다.

대기압 글로우 방전의 구현 및 안정화에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Implementation and Stabilization of Atmospheric Pressure Glow Discharge)

  • Ionizers are essential in various areas of manufacturing industries to protect electrostatic hazards and to reduce inferior products. For ion sources used in the charge neutralizers, there are corona discharge, soft X-ray, ultraviolet and glow discharge. Glow discharge has lots of attractive properties, such as lower discharge sustaining voltage, no generation of ozone, and so on. In this paper, we did an experimental study to trace the mechanism and stabilization of atmospheric pressure glow discharge using the several size and shape of electrodes. As an experimental result, to sustain conditions of atmospheric pressure glow discharge is that discharge voltage is 360V, discharge current is 12mA, apply frequency is 1kHz between electrodes when positive electrode is molybdenum(Mo) and negative electrode is copper(Cu). We confirmed that the mechanism and stabilization of atmospheric glow discharge is deeply concerned with the shape and material of electrode for discharge. Especially, glow discharge in atmospheric pressure was well generated and sustained according with the physical properties used electrode materials, example melting point, thermal conductivity, and etc.

  • 본 논문에서는 KSTAR 토카막 진공용기의 세정을 위한 방전세정 시스템의 설계에 대해 기술하였다. 먼저 방전세정효율에 영향을 주는 매개변수들에 대해 논의하였으며. 실제 설계에서 직류방전 보다 낮은 압력에서 방전이 시작되고 유지되며 따라서 세정효율이 높은 RG 방전(RF-assisted DC glow discharge) 방법을 채택하였다. 그리고 방전세정의 균일성을 위해 두 개의 방전 전극을 진공용기의 진단포트(A,I-port)에 설치하였다. 설계된 방전세정 시스템은 KSTAR 진공용기 내벽 세정뿐만 아니라 제1벽의 연료재순환(fuel recycling)이나 보론화 처리(boronization)등의 연구에도 응용될 수 있다.

  • The power system and control system constantly reveals surge voltage such as switching surge of lighting devices and power conversion devices, operating and stops surge of rotating devices, charge & discharge surge, opening & closing surge of circuit breakers and the like. Such a surge voltages can cause damage or malfunction of the element such as CPU, Memory, semiconductor etc. In the industry, in order to protect the system from the surge voltage, a surge protector with low discharge starting voltage, fast response time, and low capacitance is required, and technical development research for that is ongoing. In this paper, in order to solve the problem of the existing GDT discharge tube not discharging from the transient voltage which is higher than the commercial voltage and lower than the discharge voltage of the discharge element, we have developed a discharge element having the control electrode & control circuit. The discharge element having the control electrode and the control circuit can control the discharge voltage according to the needs of the consumer and can satisfy the requirement of the discharge element and the technology of the surge protector downsizing technology and the surge protection technology. It is judged to be effective for development.

  • The performance of ac plasma display panels (PDP) is influenced strongly by the surface glow discharge characteristics on the MgO thin films. This paper deals with the surface slew discharge characteristics and some physical properties of MgO thin films prepared by reactive RF planar unbalanced magnetron sputtering in connection with ac PDP. The samples prepared with the do bias voltage of -10V showed lower discharge voltage and lower erosion rate by ion bombardment than those samples prepared by conventional magnetron sputtering or E-beam evaporation. The main factor that improves the discharge characteristics by bias voltage is considered to be due to the morphology changes or crystal structure of the MgO thin film by ion bombardment during deposition process.

교류형 플라즈마 디스플레이에서 단일 유지 파형을 가지는 기입 방전의 특성의 연구 (Study on Characteristics of Write Discharge with Single Sustain Waveform in AC Plasma Display Panel )

  • The characteristics of write discharge were investigated when the conventional driving method with the unipolar sustain voltages, and the single sustain driving method applying the bipolar sustain voltage were applied in an AC plasma display. In the case of having a single sustain waveform, the strength of the write discharge is weakened compared to the conventional driving method during the address period, because the wall charge inside the panel is more dissipated by the lower scanning voltage. In the driving method with a single sustain waveform, the bias voltage of the other electrodes was changed to improve the write discharge characteristics. As a result, the intensity of the discharge was enhanced by 32% and the delay time was shortened by 60 ㎲.

정신과 환자 퇴원시 가족들이 느끼는 불안에 관한 연구 (A Study of Anxiety of Families of Psychiatric Patients at Discharge)

  • This study investigated the anxiety of families of psychiatric patients at discharge. The purpose was to contribute to the improvement of psychiatric nursing care, rehabilitation and social adjustment of psychiatric patients and community mental health. The objectives of this study were to identify the acceptance of the psychiatric nurse by the families, their anxiety at the time of discharge, whether any help was wanted to reduce anxiety, the attitude toward the patient after discharge and feelings about the patients. The population studied consisted of 180 family members of patients from 10 mental hospitals (including local clinic) in Seoul and Kyung- Ki province, from March I to April 30, 1977. The date were collected by an interview schedule, and compared and analysed by Computer usings х$^2$- test. Results were as follows : 1. Many of the families(83.6%) expressed a acceptance of psychiatric nurse. 2. A little more than half of the families(51.1%) expressed happiness but a largo portion (38.9%) had "anxious" feelings at discharge. 3. Almost all families(92.6%) wanted a physician′s help to reduce discharge anxiety. Younger families tended to want the physician′s help more. 4. Many of the families(83.1%) wanted a nurse′s help. Families of parents patients admitted for the 1 st time wanted the nurse′s help more. 5. Comparing the feelings at a previous discharge with the present discharge, 49.1% of the family expressed greater happiness at tile latter than the former. 6. More than half the families responded positively toward the patient. Unmarried family members responded more positively than married Families of 1 st admission patients responded more positively than families of readmission patients. 7. Many families(78.8%)had positively feelings toward the patients. More negative responses came from women than from men, from lower education levels, lower incomes and readmission patients.

  • This paper presented time dependent high-pressure arc discharge model considering the axial convection and verified the pertinence with application to the high pressure mercury lamp. Using this model, this paper xmaminse the effect of the axial convection and arc contraction of lower electrode region. This model consisted with the results of experiments in few [%] error, and showed the arc contraction of lower electrode region.
