Development of Dry-type Active Surface EMG Electrode for Myoelectric Prosthetic Hand (근전의수용 건식형 능동 표면 근전도 전극의 개발)

  • This paper proposes a dry-type active surface EMG electrode for the myoelectric prosthetic hand. The designed electrode is small size for embedding in the socket of prosthetic hand, and it has three leads including the reference of signal. To acquire EMG signal rejected the power noise, a precision differential amplifier and various filters such as the band pass filter band rejection filter, low pass and high pass filter are embedded on the electrode. The final output of the electrode is integrated absolute EMG (IEMG) obtained by full rectifier and moving average circuits. From experimental results using the implemented dry-type active surface EMG electrode, the proposed electrode is feasible for the myoelectric prosthetic hand.

  • In this paper, novel phase angle following algorithm for the single phase grid-connected inverter is proposed. Gird-connected inverter needs phase angle detection for synchronization grid voltage with the inverter output. In case of single phase grid-connected inverter, zero crossing detection and virtual 2-phase PLL using digital all pass filter or digital low pass filter are used conventionally. But these methods have a weakness for harmonics, noises and ripples. The proposed method of PLL achieve DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) using Goertzel algorithm. It can extract fundamental voltage of grid. As a results, it can obtain phase angle using digital all pass filter without effect of harmonics, noises and ripples. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • A function relationship between the envlope rise time and Q v91ue of band pass filter is studied by using the time response to the step and sinusodal inputs. It is discovered that the above relationship is linear in the very low frequency band. The filter was constructed by the Analog computer so as to do the function of 2nd order RC active band pass.

  • A multi-layer ceramic (MLC) chip type band-pass filter (BPF) is presented. The MLC chip BPF has the benefits of low cost and small size. The BPF consists of coulped stripline resonators and coupling capacitors. The BPF is designed to have an attenuation pole at below the passband for a receiver band of IMT-2000 handset. The computer-aided design technology is applied for analysis of the BPF frequency characteristics. The passband and attenuation pole depend on the coupling between resonators and coupling capacitance. The frequency characterics of the passband and attenuation pole are analyzed with the variation of the coupling between resonators and coupling capacitance. An equivanlent circuit and structure of MLC chip BPF are proposed. The frequency characteristics of the BPF is well acceptable for IMT-2000 application.

  • 최근 전력 컨버터 사용의 증가로 배전계통에서의 고조파 왜곡이 날로 심각해지고, 따라서 고조파에 민감한 전력계통 기기와 고객 부하를 보호하기 위한 고조파 저감대책이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 능동 필터와 Low-Pass Filter(LPF)를 전력계통 과도해석 프로그램인 Electro-Magnetic Transients Program(EMTP) 내의 Transients Analysis of Control Systems(TACS) 소자를 사용하여 모델링하고 고조파 발생시 능동필터에 LPF의 설치 유/무에 따른 배전계통에서의 상전류와 중성선 전류의 변화를 분석하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 계통의 전력품질을 향상시키기 위해 LPF (Low Pass Filter)를 적용한 순시전력제어기를 제안한다. 제안된 순시전력제어기는 부하에서 발생하는 무효전력을 계산하기 위해 1개의 LPF와 1개의 곱셈블록만을 사용한다. 따라서 기존의 평균전력제어기와 순시전력제어기에 비해 연산이 간단하고 회로구현이 쉬운 장점을 가진다. 본 연구에서는 제안된 순시전력제어기의 유용성을 확인하기 위해 단상 능동전력필터(Active Power Filter)에 적용하여 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 수행하였다.

Pre-filtering of Images Considering Human Visual Perception (시각특성을 고려한 영상의 전처리 필터링)

  • In this paper, we propose a band stop filter(BSF) for reducing drag-like effect of the low pass filter(LPF), a block by block adaptive filtering method, and a motion adaptive filtering method, which show better results in terms of PSNR or human visual perception compared to the conventional method using LPF. The BSF improves the draglike effects of the low pass filter by passing temporal high frequency components of video sequences which correspond to objects with large motion. The proposed adaptive methods also improve the conventional adaptive filtering by modifying the conventional algorithm and applying the algorithms for small blocks. The simulation results show that the proposed filtering methods show better results in terms of PSNR and subjective tests in most cases. Also in case of block by block adaptive filtering, it is verified that the application of the algorithm for smaller block gives better results.

Characteristics of High Efficiency Wideband Microstrip Band Pass Filter (고효율 광대역 마이크로스트립 대역통과필터 특성)

  • This paper presents a compact, low insertion loss, sharp rejection and wide band microstrip band pass filter that is composed rectangular loop resonator and step-impedance-open-stub(SIOS) for wireless data communication. The SIOS can be reduce length about 30% more than general $0.25{\lambda}$ stub. And the stub can the advantage of tuning impedance magnitude. In order to demonstrate agrement of this paper prove, the optimized wide band pass filters are realized and experimented. A transmission line model used to calculate the frequency response of the new filters shows good agreement with measurements. The filter has 3dB fractional bandwith of 52.5%(3.267GHz), an insertion loss of better than 0.33dB from 4.587GHz to 7.854GHz, and two rejection of greater than 30dB within 221MHz$(4.366GHz{\sim}4.587GHz)$ at low frequency band, 181MHz$(7.854GHz{\sim}8.035GHz)$ at high frequency band. Maximum rejection characteristics of the filter are -54dB at low frequency and -60dB at high frequency.

Design and Fabrication of Deep Attenuation LPF using Meander Microstrip Transmission Line (미앤더 마이크로스트립 전송선을 이용한 고감쇄 LPF 설계 및 제작)

  • In this paper, microstrip low pass filter using transmission line with the modified DCRLH structure is designed and fabricated to be removed a spurious resonant mode, and a deep attenuation in stop band. The low pass filter is composed of shunt open-stub to get a deep attenuation and series short-stub to eliminate the spurious harmonics in stop band. In this way, the spurious harmonics occurring on the higher order frequency are suppressed and the filter performance is improved. Insertion loss and VSWR of the fabricated microstrip low pass filter in the passband from DC to 1.5 GHz is 1.26 dB and 1.65, and attenuation on the stopband from 1.84 GHz to 2.18 GHz is less than -100 dB. And also this filter has a good performance for 20 watt power test.

  • In this paper, seven-order elliptic low-pass passive network is synthesized by using doublyterminated ladder network is directly transformed into the active network which has the advantage of low sensitivity and can be realized conveniently. The circuit simulation results of passive network and active network synthesized with FDNR and Leap-frog technique are compared, and it is proved that the two rest work has the same characteristics.
