In this paper, the High-speed, Low-power Analog-Digital Conversion Archecture is porposed using the Pipelined archecture for High-speed conversion rate and the Successive-Approximation archecture for Low-power consumption. This archecture is the Successive-Approximation archecture using Pipelined Comparator array to change reference voltage during Holding Time. The Analog-to-Digital Converter for video processing is designed using 0.8${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS tchnology. When an 6-bit 10MS/s Analog-to-Digital Converter is simulatined, the INL/DNL errors are $\pm$0.5/$\pm$1, respectively. The SNR is 37dB at a sampling rate of 10MHz with 100KHz sine input signal. The power consumption is 1.46mW at 10MS/s. When an 8-bit 10MS/s Analog-to Digital Converter is simulatined, the INL/DNL errors are $\pm$0.5/$\pm$1, respectively. The SNR is 41dB at a sampling rate of 100MHz with 100KHz sine input signal. The power consumption is 4.14m W at 10MS/s.

In the conventional photorefractive joint transform correlator(PRJTC), the intensity ration of input signal-to-pump beam should be large enough to saturate two-beam coupling transfer function to obtain a desired correlation result. As a result, the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of correlation result is decreased in a noisy input image. In this paper, we propose the improved method for increasing the SNR of the PRJTC by using the characteristics of BaTiO$_3$. We stop the energy transfer saturating by low intensity ratio of input beam and realize a short length of effective interaction in BaTiO$_3$ by making large incident angle of the signal beam. So the gain in high frequency area is decreased and the gain in low frequency area comes up to the saturation gain of the beam coupling transfer function. Therefore the SNR is improved in noisy input image and the PRJTC can be easily realized by low intensity ratio of input beam.

A new method for design of two-channel finite-impulse response(FIR) quadrature mirror-image filter(QMF) banks with low reconstruction delay using weighting function is proposed. The weighting function used in this paper is calculated from the previous updated filter coefficients vector which is adjusted from iteration to iteration in the design of QMF banks. In this paper, passband and stopband edge frequency are used in design of QMF banks with low delay characteristic in time domain instead of specific frequency interval where the artifacts occur in conventional design method. The investigation of specific frequency interval where artifacts occur can not be required by using passband and stopband edge frequency. Some comparisons of performance are made with other existing design method to demonstrate the proposed method for QMF bank design. and it was observed that the proposed method using the weighted function and passband and stopband edge frequency improves the peak reconstruction error by 0.001 [dB], the peak-to-peak passband ripple by 0.003[dB], SNR with a white noise by 7[dB] and SNR with a step input by 32[dB], but with a reduction of the computational efficiency because of updating the weighting function over the conventional method in Ref [11].
Currently, the highest cancer death rate in Korea is lung cancer, which is a typical cancer that is difficult to detect early. Low-dose chest CT is being used for early detection, which has a greater lung cancer diagnosis rate of about three times than regular chest x-ray images. However, low-dose chest CT not only significantly reduces image resolution but also has a weak signal and is sensitive to noise. Also, air filled lungs are low-density organs and the presence of noise can significantly affect early diagnosis of cancer. This study used Visual C++ to set a circle inside a large circle with a density of 2.0, with a density of 1.0, which is the density of water, in which five small circle of mathematics have different densities. Gaussian noise was generated by 1%, 2%, 3%, and 4% respectively to determine the effect of noise on the mean value, the standard deviation value, and the relative noise ratio(SNR). In areas where the density difference between the large and small circles was greatest in the event of 1 % noise, the SNR in the area with the greatest variation in noise was 4.669, and in areas with the lowest density difference, the SNR was 1.183. In addition, the SNR values can be seen to be high if the same results are obtained for both positive and negative densities. Quality was also clearly visible when the density difference was large, and if the noise level was increased, the SNR was reduced to significantly affect the noise. Low-density organs or organs in areas of similar density to cancers, will have significant noise effects, and the effects of density differences on the probability of noise will affect diagnosis.

The purpose is a comparative evaluation in the DR System according to the dosimetry and image quality of the quantitative and objective via Direct digital radiography, Indirect digital radiography, Image intensifier (Charge Coupled Device type) digital radiography. The experimental method used rando phantom and measured the entrance surface dose. And through using the measured entrance surface dose and then using the PCXMC program were evaluated risk due to irradiation and the effective dose. SNR and NPS and CNR were measured and analyzed by using 21cm acryl phantom. Significance of measured value was evaluated by statistics method. Entrance surface dose, major organ dose, effective dose all of them were measured the lowest rated in direct DR when it is on the basis of direct DR dose, high-dose ratio were measured in I.I DR approximately 1.3 times, indirect DR approximately 2.4 times. Risk in accordance with radiation also was measured same as dose ratio. On the conclusion that SNR measurement result based on direct DR SNR measurements, low-SNR ratio were measured in I.I DR approximately 7.25 times, indirect DR approximately 1.48 times. On the conclusion that CNR measurement result based on direct DR CNR measurements, high-dose ratio were measured in I.I type DR approximately 1.16 tims and low-dose ratio were measured in indirect DR approximately 0.87 times. Therefore Direct DR system using a-selenium sensing element to detect x-ray photon is thought effectively at the examination such as infant to sensitive irradiation and the genital gland. Because quality image is built by low dose. Also when it is necessary that image test requiring many diagnosis information, indirect DR system is thought effectively.

In this paper, we evaluate the performance of DD-bardner (decision-directed gardner) algorithm. We derive an analytic gain of the thiming detector that is a function of SNR and an excess bandwidth, and verify the result by simulation. We also compare the DD-gardner algorithm with the bardner algorithm with respect to tracking performance and jitter performance under low SNR and a residual frequency component.
The study has attempted to evaluate and compare the image evaluation and exposure dose by respectively applying filter back projection (FBP), the existing test method, and adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction (ASIR) with different values of tube voltage during the low dose computed tomography (LDCT). With the image reconstruction method as basis, chest phantom was utilized with the FBP and ASIR set at 10%, 20% respectively, and the change of tube voltage (100 kVp, 120 kVp). For image evaluation, back ground noise, signal-noise ratio (SNR) and contrast-noise ratio (CNR) were measured, and, for dose assessment, CTDIvol and DLP were measured respectively. In terms of image evaluation, there was significant difference in ascending aorta (AA) SNR and inpraspinatus muscle (IM) SNR with the different amount of tube voltage (p < 0.05). In terms of CTDIvol, the measured values with the same tube voltage of 120 kVp were 2.6 mGy with no-ASIR and 2.17 mGy with 20%-ASIR respectively, decreased by 0.43 mGy, and the values with 100 kVp were 1.61 mGy with no-ASIR and 1.34 mGy with 20%-ASIR, decreased by 0.27 mGy. In terms of DLP, the measured values with 120 kVp were $103.21mGy{\cdot}cm$ with no-ASIR and $85.94mGy{\cdot}cm$ with 20%-ASIR, decreased by $17.27mGy{\cdot}cm$ (about 16.7%), and the values with 100 kVp were $63.84mGy{\cdot}cm$ with no-ASIR and $53.25mGy{\cdot}cm$ with 20%-ASIR, a decrease by $10.62mGy{\cdot}cm$ (about 16.7%). At lower tube voltage, the rate of dose significantly decreased, but the negative effects on image evaluation was shown due to the increase of noise.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the change in the X-ray condition on the entrance surface dose (ESD) and dose area product (DAP) in the cine imaging of coronary angiography (CAG), and to analyze the usefulness of the condition change on the dose relation and image quality by measuring and analyzing the Signal to Noise Radio (SNR) and Contrast to Nois Ratio (CNR) of the angiographic images taken by the Image J program. Data were collected from 33 patients (24 males and 9 females) who underwent CAG at this hospital from November 2017 to March 2018. In terms of imaging condition and data acquisition, the ESD and DAP of group A with a high tube current of 397.2 mA and group B with a low tube current of 370.7 mA were retrospectively obtained for comparison and analysis. For the SNR and CNR measurement and analysis via Image J, the result values were derived by substituting the obtained data into the formula. The correlations among ESD and DAP according to the change in the imaging condition, SNR, and CNR were analyzed by using the SPSS statistical analysis software. The relationships of groups A and B, having a difference in the imaging condition, mA, with ESD ($A:483.5{\pm}60.1$; $B: 464.4{\pm}39.9$) and DAP ($A:84.3{\pm}10.7$; $B:81.5{\pm}7$) were not statistically significant (p>0.05). In the relationships with SNR and CNR based on Image J, the SNR ($5.451{\pm}0.529$) and CNR ($0.411{\pm}0.0432$) of the images obtained via the left coronary artery (LCA) imaging of group B showed differences of $0.475{\pm}0.096$ and $-0.048{\pm}0.0$, respectively, from the SNR ($4.976{\pm}0.433$) and CNR ($0.459{\pm}0.0431$) of the LCA of group A. However, the differences were not statistically significant (p<0.05). In the SNR and CNR obtained via the right coronary artery (RCA) imaging, the SNR ($4.731{\pm}0.773$) and CNR ($0.354{\pm}0.083$) of group A showed increased values of $1.491{\pm}0.405$ and $0.188{\pm}0.005$, respectively, from the SNR ($3.24{\pm}0.368$) and CNR ($0.166{\pm}0.033$) of group B. Among these, CNR was statistically significant (p<0.05). In the correlation analysis, statistically significant results were shown in SNR (LCA) and CNR (LCA); SNR (RCA) and CNR (RCA); ESD and DAP; ESD and sec; DAP and CNR (RCA); and DAP and sec (p<0.05). As a result of the analyses on the image quality evaluation and usefulness of the dose change, the SNR and CNR were increased in the RCA images of the CAG obtained by increasing the mA. Based on the result that CNR showed a statistically significant difference, it is believed that the contrast in the image quality can be further improved by increasing the mA in RCA imaging.
Electrogastrography(EGG) is a noninvasive method for measuring gastric electrical activity on the abdomen resulting from gastric muscle. EGG signals have a very low frequency range (0.0083 ~0.15 Hz) and extremely low amplitude(10~100 uV). Consequently, EGG signal is easily influenced by other noises. Both finite impulse response(FIR) and infinite impulse response (IIR) filters need high orders or have phase distortions for passing very narrow bandwidth of the EGG signal. In this study, we decomposed EGG signals using a wavelet multiresolution method with Daubechies mother wavelet. The EGG signals were decomposed to seven levels. We reconstructed signal by summing the decomposed signals from level four to seven. To evaluate the performance of the wavelet multiresolution filter(WMF) with simulated EGG signal using two kinds of FIR and four kinds of IIR filters., we used two indices; signal to noise ratio(SNR) and reconstruction squared error(RSE). The SNR of WMF had 9.5, 6.9, and 4.7 dB bigger than that of the other filters at different noise levels, respectively. Also, The RSE of WMF had $1.22{\times}10^6, 1.16{\times}10^6, 1.02{\times}10^6$ smaller than that of the other filters at different noise levels, respectively. The WMF performed better in the SNR and RSE than two kinds of FIR and four kinds of IIR filters.
