  • The analog multiplier is very useful building block in many circuits such as filter, frequency-shifter, and modulators. In recent year, The main design issue of circuit designer is low-voltage/low-power system design, because of all systems are recommended very integrated system and portable system In this paper, the proposed the four-quadrant analog multiplier is using the bulk-driven techniques. The bulk-driven technique is very useful technique in low-voltage system, compare with gate-driven technique. therefore the proposed analog multiplier is operated in 1V supply voltage. And the proposed analog multiplier is low power dissipation compare with the others. therefor the proposed analog multiplier is convenient in low-voltage/low-power in system.

  • 본 논문에서는 Buck Converter 동작 원리를 Full -Bridge Inverter에 적용한 전자식 안정기를 제안하였다. 전자식안정기는 EMI 필터, 수동 PFC, Full-Bridge Inverter로 2-stage로 구성되어 있다. PFC는 신뢰성 확보를 위해 수동 PFC를 사용하였다. Full-Bridge Inverter는 High Side와 Low Side 스위치의 구동 주파수를 각각 고주파와 저주파로 구동하여 Buck Converter의 동작을 구현 하였다. 램프를 저주파수 구형파로 구동하여 음향공명현상을 피하게 되었으며, 고주파수 스위칭으로 인덕터의 부피를 줄였다. 제안한 방법은 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 증명하였다.

  • The embedded software has been developed in the forms of various versions that provides similar service based on product family. For increase usefulness of product family, software must has well-structured and reusable properties. Software architecture is important to improve adaptability in model-based development of embedded software mounted onto product family. In this paper, we proposed a technique of ADD(Attribute-Driven Design)-based software architecture design for low power software development. This technique provides a chance to consider the power consumption issue in design phase of software, and makes possible to develop low power embedded software.

구형파 구동 BLDCM의 동기정류를 사용한 인버터 손실 저감 (Inverter Losses Reduction for Rectangular Drive BLDCM using Synchronous Rectification)

  • In this paper, the inverter switch losses of BLDC motor for three types of PWM methods and power devices were analyzed. When the BLDC motor is driven at low currents, the inverter switch losses for MOSFET are low because MOSFET operates like resistance. However, the inverter switch losses for IGBT are higher than MOSFET due to its large turn-off losses. Moreover, synchronous rectification switching method is adaptable because MOSFET has 2-channel. So, MOSFET can be driven with more low impedance and losses. For low power inverter with MOSFET, the power losses of unified PWM are lower than that of unipolar and bipolar PWM. Proposed method and losses analysis results are verified by examination and simulation using Matlab/Simulink.

  • The characteristics of the current waveforms and 3$\Phi$ power waveforms of the variable speed 3$\Phi$ AC motor system driven by the single-pulse PWM investigated in this paper. The system is composed of a digital bridge inverter and low pass LC filter. It is confirmed that current waveforms and 3$\Phi$ power waveforms can be improved by utilizing the high order low pass LC filter than that of lower order through computer simulation. Also, we propose the low pass LC filter revised from the conventional LC filter.

  • The latest generation of tram is low-floor design, various nations in europe and japan have developed battery driven hybrid trams that combine battery and wiring. Battery driven tram system is achieved by contactless power supply system, thus system is needed high efficiency, high power and low weight traction motor for maximization of energy efficiency. Research from abroad is still in induction motor(IM) application, and it is not meet the efficiency and the power per unit volume in IPMSM. In this paper, we design compare IM and IPMSM to apply battery driven tram, and then compare these motors. To design the motor, we estimate the loading condition at first. Loading condition includes rolling resistance, air-drag resistance, and slope resistance. Based on the loading condition by estimation, we determine the power and compute rated voltage and rated current. In this paper, voltage is limited by battery voltage level. As a result, volume about IM is 1.98 times bigger than IPMSM under same condition. Even though IPMSM is bigger than IM in power density per volume, we consider more factors for actual application because there are demagnetization of permanent magnet in IPMSM and so on by external environment conditions.

  • 최근에 이르러, 임베디드 시스템 및 모바일 장치 뿐만이 아니라 고성능 마이크로프로세서 및 멀티코어프로세서의 전력 소비량이 매우 중요하게 대두되고 있다. 특히, 스마트폰과 태블릿 PC의 광범위한 사용으로 인하여 프로세서의 저전력 소비가 무엇보다 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 고성능 마이크로프로세서에 대하여 빠른 속도를 갖는 명령어 자취형 (trace-driven) 모의실험기 기반의 전력 측정기를 개발하였다. 본 전력 측정기는 마이크로프로세서를 구성하는 복합 조합회로, 배열구조, CAM 구조를 기반으로 하였으며, SPEC 2000 벤치마크를 입력으로 모의실험을 수행하여 각 벤치마크의 평균 전력 소비량을 측정하였다.

  • 본 논문은 버스의 소비 전력을 비용 함수로 정의하여 버스의 소비 전력을 줄이는 버스 기반 평면계획을 제안한다. 기존 버스 기반 평면계획의 비용함수는 버스의 면적만을 줄이고 버스의 소비전력은 고려하지 않았다. 그러나 버스의 분할 설계 방식을 가정한 경우 버스의 소비 전력이 면적에 반드시 비례하지는 않기 때문에 기정의 비용함수로는 버스의 소비 전력을 반영할 수가 없다. 본 논문에서는 버스 분할 설계 기법이 적용된 경우를 가정하고 버스에 연결된 블록간의 통신량과 실제 거리를 고려하여 버스의 소비 전력을 비용함수에 추가하였다. 실험 결과 새로운 비용함수를 사용한 버스 기반 평면계획에서는 버스의 소비 전력에 관련된 값이 평균 11.43%만큼 감소하였다.

  • Since world-wide oil shock on 1970s, many large size-low speed diesel engines, instead of steam turbines, are used for the industrial electric power generating plants due to their economic advantage of low specific fuel consumption. But it is very important to control their electric power fluctuation problems for the purpose of smooth parallel operation with existing power plants. In this paper the fluctuation problem of KEPCO Nam-cheju No.1 generator driven by diesel ngine(B & W 7K 60MC, 13931x138.5RPM) is investigated with analysis of torsional vibration of which 4th harmonic component is related to its power fluctuation. The problem can be improved by modification of cylinder arrangement and flywheel position in reverse sequence, equalizing the combustion gas pressure of all cylinder and installation of torsional vibration damper enlarged 30%(Je=7287Kg.m$^{2}$) and high quality balancing of generator rotor.

  • This paper concerns with a method to improve the current and power waveforms of the variable speed $3{\Phi}$ AC motor system driven by the single-pulse PWM, and the current waveforms and $3{\Phi}$ power waveforms are analyzed by FFT under various running conditions. By the performance analysis through the experiments, the following results have been obtained. AC source of pseudo sine waveform can be obtained from the modulated alternating square voltage by means of the well designed LC filter. It is confirmed that current waveforms and $3{\Phi}$ power waveforms can be improved by utilizing the high order low pass LC filter than that of lower order. Especially, current waveforms and $3{\Phi}$ power waveforms tan be much improved at low frequency domain. $3{\Phi}$ power waveforms have a smatter ripple and bigger power by utilizing the high order low pass LC filter than that of lower order. Also, the running condition of $3{\Phi}$ AC motor is good at low frequency domain.
