  • 본 논문은 울진 원자력 발전소 건설현장의 자료관리업무를 검토, 분석하여 전산화 대상업무의 논리체계를 세워 카드장표에 의한 수작업 관리방법을 전산 자동화처리가 가능하도록 시도한 것이다. 마스타화일의 레코드구조는 서지데이타, 자료송부관련데이타, 배부관련테이타, 구역구분데이타, 건설후 자료관리 데이타 등으로 구성하였으며 배부, 화일, 검색업무 및 통계, 보고서 출력업무의 논리체계를 설계하였다. 특히, 건설중의 자료관리목적이외에 건설후 자료관리를 위한 색인매개요소로서 시스템코드, 한전설비분류번호, 자재연결코드, 보존기간 등을 건설중의 자료입수 시점에서 입력하도록 설계하여 발전소 운전중의 자료검색요구를 사전에 준비하고자 하였다. 또한 본 연구의 결과는 자료관리시스템과 자재관리시스템 사이에서의 상호참조가 용이하도록 설계하였다.

PLC와 CF 메모리를 이용한 FAT32 파일시스템 구현 (Implementation of the FAT32 File System using PLC and CF Memory)

  • In this paper, the large data processing and suitable FAT32 file system for industrial system using a PLC and CF memory was implemented. Most of PLC can't save the large data in user data memory. So it's required to the external devices of CF memory or NAND flash memory. The CF memory is used in order to save the large data of PLC system. The file system using the CF memory is NTFS, FAT, and FAT32 system to configure in various ways. Typically, the file system which is widely used in industrial data storage has been implemented as modified FAT32. The conventional FAT 32 file system was not possible for multiple writing and high speed data accessing. The proposed file system was implemented by the large data processing module can be handled that the files are copied at the 40 bytes for 1msec speed logging and creating 8 files at the same time. In a sudden power failure, high reliability was obtained that the problem was solved using a power fail monitor and the non-volatile random-access memory (NVSRAM). The implemented large data processing system was applied the modified file system as FAT32 and the good performance and high reliability was showed.

Development of LED Street Lighting Controller for Wind-Solar Hybrid Power System

  • This paper presents the design and implementation of a wind-solar hybrid power system for LED street lighting and an isolated power system. The proposed system consists of photovoltaic modules, a wind generator, a storage system (battery), LED lighting, and the controller, which can manage the power and system operation. This controller has the functions of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for the wind and solar power, effective charging/discharging for the storage system, LED dimming control for saving energy, and remote data logging for monitoring the performance and maintenance. The proposed system was analyzed in regard to the operation status of the hybrid input power and the battery voltage using a PSIM simulation. In addition, the characteristics of the proposed system's output were analyzed through experimental verification. A prototype was also developed which uses 300[W] of wind power, 200[W] of solar power, 60[W] LED lighting, and a 24[V]/80[Ah] battery. The control system principles and design scheme of the hardware and software are presented.

지능형 홈을 위한 사용자 식별 및 출입 감지 시스템 (User Identification and Entrance/Exit Detection System for Smart Home)

  • This paper presents a sensing system for smart home which can detect an location transition events such as entrance/exit of a member and identify the user in a group at the same time. The proposed system is compose of two sub-systems; a wireless sensor network system and a database server system. The wireless sensing system is designed as a star network where each of sensing modules with ultrasonic sensors and a Bluetooth RF module connect to a central receiver called Bluetooth access point. We propose a method to discriminate a user by measuring the height of the user. The differences in the height of users is a key feature for discrimination. At the same time, the each sensing module can recognize whether the user goes into or out a room by using two ultrasonic sensors. The server subsystem is a sort of data logging system which read the detected event from the access point and then write it into a database system. The database system could provide the location transition information to wide range of context-aware applications for smart home easily and conveniently. We evaluate the developed method with experiments for three subjects in a family with the installation of the developed system into a real house.

전기 및 CSMT 탐사를 이용한 초정지역의 수리지질 구조 해석 (Hydrogeologic Structure derived from Electrical and CSMT Surveys in the Chojung Area)

  • 암반 대수층으로 구성된 초정지역의 소유역에 대한 수리지질 구조 규명을 목적으로 정밀 지표지질조사, 전기비저항 수직탐사 및 시추공 물리검층을 실시하였고, 심부까지의 수리지질 구조 발달 상태를 확인하기 위하여 인공 송신원을 이용한 CSMT 탐사를 복합적으로 적용하였다. 지질 경계부에 대한 CSMT탐사 결과 변성퇴적암을 관입한 화강암의 수직적 분포 특성을 파악할 수 있었으며, 이러한 수직적 분포는 수직탐사와 전기비저항 검층에서 나타난 천부의 수리지질 특성과 연결되어 나타남을 확인하였다. 화강암 지대에 대한 CSMT탐사 결과 심도 약 100m 내외에서 고비저항대의 광역적인 경계가 나타나는데, 수직탐사와 전기비저항 검층에서 밝혀진 대수층 발달 구간과 연결됨에 따라 복합적인 해석이 가능함을 확인하였다. 이 연구에서는 CSMT자료 해석을 위하여 평활화 제한을 가한 최소자승 1차원 역산법과 측선을 따라 측정된 자료에 대한 EMAP(Electromagnetic Array Profiling) 처리 결과에 Bostick 역산을 가한 2차원 영상 구현 방법을 이용하였는데, 지질경계부와 화강암 지역의 대수층 구조를 파악하는데 적용성이 높음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 이 연구에서 적용한 CSMT탐사는 소유역에 대한 정밀 지표지질조사 및 시추공 물리검층 자료가 추가되는 경우에 천부 대수층 구조 파악에 보다 정확한 정보를 제공할 수 있으며, 심부 지질구조와 관련된 대수층 구조를 해석하는데 효과적일 것으로 판단된다.

Tele-Operated Mobile Robot for Visual Inspection of a Reactor Head

  • The control rod drive mechanisms in a reactor head are arranged too narrow for a human worker to approach. Moreover, the working environment is in high radiation area. In order to inspect defections in the surfaces of the reactor head and welding parts, a visual inspection device that can approach such a narrow and high radiation area is required. This paper introduces a tele-operated mobile robot for visual inspection of a reactor head, which has pan/tilt camera, fixed rear camera, ultrasonic collision detection system, and so on. Moreover, the host controller and digital video logging system are developed and integrated control software is also developed. The robot is operated by a wireless control, which gives flexibility for the inspection.

Development of a 4-DOF Industrial Robot System

  • In this work, a 4-DOF industrial robot system with three translational and one rotational motions which is widely used in palletizing applications is developed. In order for small robot manufacturing companies to develop their own robot systems for CNC machining and/or general automations, the analysis and design methods of a 4-DOF robot manipulator are presented and the development of a PC-based robot controller with EtherCAT are introduced. It is noted that the robot controller is developed by using Simulink Real-Time, which can provide an integrated environment of easier control algorithm development and data logging. Through position control and accuracy/repeatability measurement results, the developed robot prototype has comparable performances with commercial counterparts. In the future works, the advanced functions of industrial robots such as kinematic calibration, vibration suppression control, computed torque control, etc. will be investigated.

고차원 색인구조를 위한 회복기법의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of a Recovery Method for High Dimensional Index Structures)

  • In this paper, we propose a recovery method for high dimensional index structures. It recovers efficiently transactions including reinsert operations that needs undo or rollback due to system failures or transaction failures. It is based on WAL(Write Ahead Logging) protocol. We apply the method to the FCIR-Tree and implement it based on MiDAS-III which is the storage system of a multimedia DBMS, called BADA-III. We also show through performance evaluation that the recovery method with our algorithm recovers reinsert operations efficiently over that without our algorithm.

Locating Mechanical Damages Using Magnetic Flux Leakage Inspection in Gas Pipeline System

  • Gas transmission pipelines are often inspected and monitored using the magnetic flux leakage method. An inspection vehicle known as a "pig" is launched into the pipeline and conveyed along the pipe by the pressure of natural gas. The pig contains a magnetizer, an array of sensors and a microprocessor-based data acquisition system for logging data. This paper describes magnetic flux leakage (MFL) signal processing used for detecting mechanical damages during an in-line inspection. The overall approach employs noise removal and clustering technique. The proposed method is computationally efficient and can easily be implemented. Results are presented and verified by field tests from an application of the signal processing.

  • 클러스터 파일 시스템의 성능을 결정짓는 주요 요소 중 하나는 메타 데이터 서비스의 성능이다. 본 논문에서는 메타 데이터 연산의 종류에 따라 적절한 메타 데이터 서버에게 클라이언트의 요청을 동적으로 분배할 수 있는 내용 기반의 부하 분산 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이 알고리즘에서는 메타 데이터 서버 사이에 데이터의 이동을 유발 시키는 대신 메타 데이터를 복제하고 수정 메시지를 로깅하게 함으로써, 기존의 알고리즘에 비해 클라이언트의 요청을 서버들에게 균등하게 분배하여 응답 지연 시간을 현저히 줄일 수 있었다.
