The increase of elderly population is inevitable a universal trend in developed countries. The Korea also followed this tendency. Especially the elderly population in Korea has been rapidly increasing since the 1990s. The rural population is aging more rapidly than the urban one because younger generations move into the urban area, due to better jobs and children education's opportunities. However, the majority of studies on population ageing are focused on the urban area rather than the rural ones. Rural areas also have been excluded as a priority of the national welfare policy for the elderly people. This paper tries to analyze the population ageing among regions and to identify the regional disparity between the elderly people and the level of public services in the rural area. Based upon these results, this study notes some policy alternatives for the improvement of quality of life of the rural elderly. It also suggests on the suitable location of public service facilities in the rural areas.

Users often visit many stores while comparing the products for purchasing products or products related to it. Given a service providing location information of these stores, users can make their purchase efficiently because of reducing the time and effort they spent for wandering around and obtaining new purchase opportunities by knowing a kind of relevant stores near there. In this paper, for the purpose of providing relevant stores information efficiently, we suggest an Ambient Service Model that consists of three layers: "structured(purchase-related) information space", "real space", and "ambient information space". In the model, stores information collected from the web is grouped and structured automatically by relationships in terms of purchase. And users search relevant stores information by using an Ambient Query that is created by their context in real space. Finally, users obtain relevant stores information that is in the form of hierarchy structure on map interface. Then, users can search other kinds of relevant stores information additionally by using hierarchy structure. Consequently, It is possible to develope a service that users can obtain relevant stores information intuitively without complex search processes through the model. Also, we expect that the model can be used for developing services that provide objects information related to various objects besides stores.

Advances in science and technology have made a lot of changes in our life. Especially, sensors have used in various ways to monitor in real time and analyze the world effectively. Traditional sensor networks, however, have used their own protocols and architecture so it had to be paid a lot of additional cost. In the past 8 years, OGC and ISO have been formulating standards and protocols for the geospatial Sensor Web. Although the OGC SWE initiatives have deployed some components, attempts have been made to access sensor data. All spatial operations had to calculate on the client side because traditional SOS architecture did not consider spatial operation for GeoSensor. As a result, clients have to implement and run spatial operations, and it caused a lot of overload on them and decreased approachableness. In this paper we propose S-SOS for in-situ and moving GeoSensor that extends 52 North SOS and provides spatialFilter and spatialFinder operations. The proposed S-SOS provides an architecture that does not need to edit already deployed SOSs and can add spatial operations as occasion. Additionally we explain how to express the spatial queries and to be used effectively for various location based services.

3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) is the progressing standardization of the narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) system to support massive devices for the Internet of Things (IoT) services. The NB-IoT system uses a coverage class technique to increase the performance of the NB-IoT system while serving massive devices in very wide coverage area. A moving device can change the coverage class according to the distance or the channel state between the base station and the moving device. However, in the conventional NB-IoT standard, the performance of the NB-IoT system degrades because the coverage class is changed based on the fixed criterion. This paper proposes the coverage class adaptation schemes to increase the performance of the NB-IoT system by dynamically change the coverage class according to the location or the channel state of the device. Simulation results show that the proposed coverage class adaptation scheme decreases both the signaling overhead and the PDCCH decoding error rate in comparison with the conventional coverage class adaptation scheme in the 3GPP standard.

With the fast development in wireless communications and vehicular technologies, vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) have enabled to deliver data between vehicles. Recently, VANETs introduce a Vehicular Cloud (VC) model for collaborating to share and use resources of vehicles to create value-added services. To construct a VC, a vehicle should search vehicles that intend to provide their own resource. The single-hop search cannot search enough provider vehicles due to a small coverage and non-line-of-sights of communications. On the other hand, the multi-hop search causes very high traffics for large coverage searching and frequent connection breakages. Recently, many Roadside Units (RSUs) have been deployed on roads to collect the information of vehicles in their own coverages and to connect them to Internet. Thus, we propose a RSU-aided vehicular resource search and cloud construction mechanism in VANETS. In the proposed mechanism, a RSU collects the information of location and mobility of vehicles and selects provider vehicles enabled to provide resources needed for constructing a VC of a requester vehicle based on the collected information. In the proposed mechanism, the criteria for determining provider vehicles to provide resources are the connection duration between each candidate vehicle and the requester vehicle, the resource size of each candidate vehicle, and its connection starting time to the requester vehicle. Simulation results verify that the proposed mechanism achieves better performance than the existing mechanism.
With recent advances in sensor technology, CMOS-based semiconductor devices and networking protocol, the areas for application of wireless sensor networks greatly expanded and diversified. Such diversification of uses for wireless sensor networks creates a multitude of beneficial possibilities for several industries. In the application of wireless sensor networks for monitoring systems' data transmission process from the sensor node to the sink node, transmission through multi-hop paths have been used. Also mobile sink techniques have been applied. However, high energy costs, unbalanced energy consumption of nodes and time gaps between the measured data values and the actual value have created a need for advancement. Therefore, this thesis proposes a new model which alleviates these problems. To reduce the communication costs due to frequent data exchange, a State Prediction Model has been developed to predict the situation of the peripheral node using a geographic autocorrelation of sensor nodes constituting the wireless sensor networks. Also, a Risk Analysis Model has developed to quickly alert the monitoring system of any fatal abnormalities when they occur. Simulation results have shown, in the case of applying the State Prediction Model, errors were smaller than otherwise. When the Risk Analysis Model is applied, the data transfer latency was reduced. The results of this study are expected to be utilized in any efficient communication method for wireless sensor network monitoring systems where all nodes are able to identify their geographic location.

Currently the IoT (Internet of Things) environments and related technologies are being developed rapidly through the networks for connecting many intelligent objects. The IoT is providing artificial intelligent services combined with context recognition based knowledge and communication methods between human and objects and objects to objects. With the help of IoT technology, many research works are being developed using the C-ITS (Cooperative Intelligent Transport System) which uses road infrastructure and traveling vehicles as traffic control infrastructures and resources for improving and increasing driver's convenience and safety through two way communication such as bus-only lane and license plate recognition and road accidents, works ahead reports, which are eventually for advancing traffic effectiveness. In this paper, a system for deciding whether the traveling vehicle is possible or not to drive on bus-only lane in highway is researched using the lane and number plate recognition on the road in C-ITS traffic infrastructure environments. The number plates of vehicles on the straight ahead and sides are identified after the location of bus-only lane is discovered through the lane recognition method. Research results and experimental outcomes are presented which are supposed to be used by traffic management infrastructure and controlling system in future.
This study collected opinions about the design and management of toothbrushing facilities from schoolteachers and the people in charge of public centers, through a focus group interview (FGI), for the development of guidelines. Four moderators conducted eight FGIs of 32 subjects in charge of toothbrushing facilities across all the regions. The qualitative data was analyzed by constant comparative analysis. The findings indicated that more students utilized the facility and brushed their teeth after the installation of toothbrushing facilities. To enhance students' accessibility and safety, guidelines for design and management guidelinesfor toothbrushing facilities need to be developed; the location, sink height and depth, drain size, etc. should be comprehensively considered in the development of the guidelines. This study can help to improve students' satisfaction by enhancing the accessibility, safety, and functionality of toothbrushing facilities, and by providing fundamental data for toothbrushing facilities' development. Finally, this study can maximize the effects of management of toothbrushing facilities management on the improvement of students' oral health and behaviors.

In order to resolve the imbalances in the supply of living SOCs according to socio-economic status, location, and population groups, the discussions on inclusive city policies are expanding. The purpose of this study is to propose an Index of Park Derivation (IPD) as an alternative indicator for the promotion of an inclusive urban park policy that can be applied in the 7 major metropolitan cities to select a region with a relatively high park needs. The main research results are as follows. First, the concept of an inclusive urban park policy is defined as "a policy to supply to manage high-quality park services with priority given to areas with low socio-economic and environmental status, such as a large amount of elderly, children, low-income families, areas vulnerable to disasters, such as heat and fine dust, and population groups." Second, we developed the index of park derivation (IPD), which is a combination of 17 variables including park service level, demographic characteristics, economic and educational level, health level, and environmental vulnerability. The variables that constitute the index of park deprivation (IPD) can be applied to SOC policies outside the parks, such as sports facilities, daycare centers, kindergartens, and public libraries. Third, applying index of park deprivation (IPD) to 1,148 Eup/Myeon/dong areas of the 7 metropolitan cities resulted in areas with relatively high park service needs. This study implies that the central and the local government suggest an alternative index to promote an inclusive urban park policy based on statistical and geographical information and data that can be easily accessed and utilized.
In order to come up with satisfying product and improvement, firms use traditional marketing research methods to obtain consumers' opinions and further try to reflect them. Recently, gathering data from consumer communication platforms like internet and SNS has become popular methods. Meanwhile, with the development of information technology, mobile companies are launching new digital products for children to protect them from harmful content and provide them with necessary functions and information. Among these digital products, Kids Phone, which is a wearable device with safe functions that enable parents to learn childern's location. Kids phone is relatively cheaper and simpler than smartphone but it is noted that there are several problems such as some useless functions and frequent breakdowns. This study analyzes the reviews of Kids phones from domestic mobile companies, identifies the characteristics, strengths and weaknesses of the products, proposes improvement methods strategies for devices and services through SNS consumer analysis. In order to do that customer review data from online shopping malls was gathered and was further analyzed through text mining methods such as TF/IDF, Sentiment Analysis, and network analysis. Customer review data was gathered through crawling Online shopping Mall and Naver Blog/$Caf\acute{e}$. Data analysis and visualization was done using 'R', 'Textom', and 'Python'. Such analysis allowed us to figure out main issues and recent trends regarding kids phones and to suggest possible service improvement strategies based on sentiment analysis.
