Development of Tracking Algorithm to Improve Accuracy of Altitude and Azimuth (태양 고도각 및 방위각 제어의 정확도 향상을 위한 추적 알고리즘 개발)

  • This paper analyzes efficiency of photovoltaic(PV) tracking system using solar location algorithm(SLA). Solar location tracking system is needed for efficiently and intensively using PV system independent of environmental condition. PV tracking system of program method is presented a high tracking accuracy without the wrong operating in rapidly changed insolation by the clouds and atmospheric condition. Therefore, this paper analyzes efficiency of PV system using SLA for more correct position tracking of solar. Also, controlled altitude angle and azimuth angle by applied algorithm is compared with data of korea astronomy observatory. And this paper analyzes the tracking error and proves the validity of applied algorithm.

  • With recent spotlight on the, uniquitous computing technology, the need for object of indentification and location infrastructure has increased. Such GPS technolgy must utilize IEEE 802.15.4 Zigbee used for existing wireless sensor network infra as a basice element for user's context-awareness in a uniquitous environement, for effectiveness.Such real-time GPS service is provided in the internal environment where the user would actually are and most high-rise buildlings apply. Underthe assumption, the real-time GPS technology is seperated by each floor, and signals do not get transmitted to other floors, the application on one floor within the high-rise buildling was conducted. This study intends to suggest a floor detection algorithm using IEE 802.15.3/Zigbee's RSSI which supports the accuracy within a couple of meters for the user's the movement between the floors in high-rise buildings in a complex environment. It proposes an floor detection algorithm using IEEE 802.15.4/Zigbee's RSSI which provides accuracy within a radius of few meters for the users movement between the floors for real-time location tracking within high-rise building in a cmoplex environment. Furthermore, for more accurate real-time location tracking, it suggests an algorithm for real-time location tracking using IEEE 802.15.4a/Zigbee's CSS technology based on triangulation. Based on the suggested algorithm, it designs a hybrid real-time location tracking service system in a high-rise buildling and test its functions.

  • This paper proposes a realtime tracking algorithm of mobile object in indoor or outdoor environment. For this purpose the proposed system selects location data closer to mobile objects in real time using Triangulation method and DCM (Database Correlation Method). Also, this system utilizes the adjusted location data selected by using Kalman filter to improve the location accuracy of transfer object. Be studied in existing the Kalman filter have unstable location data until its settlement because of it extracts current values by using the past the information. However, proposed location tracking system don't apply existent Kalman filter to this system and it permits precisional tracking location by using more effective methods.

  • In this paper, we propose the new face detection and tracking angorithm in sequential images which have complex background. In order to apply face deteciton algorithm efficently, we convert the conventional RGB coordiantes into CIE coordonates and make the input images insensitive to luminace. And human face shapes and colors are learned using ueural network's backpropagation. For variable face size, we make mosaic size of input images vary and get the face location with various size through neural network. Besides, in sequential images, we suggest face motion tracking algorithm through image substraction processing and thresholding. At this time, for accurate face tracking, we use the face location of previous. image. Finally, we verify the real-time applicability of the proposed algorithm by the simple simulation.

  • In this study, an WiFi fingerprinting method based on the k-nn algorithm was applied to improve the accuracy of location tracking of a moving train on a platform and evaluate the performance to minimize the estimation error of location tracking. The data related to the position of the moving train are monitored by the control center for trains and used widely for the safety and comfort of passengers. The train location tracking methods based on WiFi installed by telecom companies were evaluated. In this study, a simulator was developed to consider the environments of two cases; in already installed WiFi devices and new installed WiFi devices. The developed simulator can simulate the localized estimation of the position under a variety of conditions, such as the number of WiFi devices, the area of platform and entry velocity of train. To apply location tracking algorithms, a k-nn algorithm and fuzzy k-nn algorithm were applied selectively according to the underlying condition and also four distance measurement algorithms were applied to compare the error of location tracking. In conclusion, the best method to estimate train location tracking is a combination of the k-nn algorithm and Minkoski distance measurement at a 0.5m grid unit and 8 WiFi AP installed.

  • In this paper, we proposed a method of improving the location estimation error existing in RTLS (Real Time Location Service) system for the individual mobility. As ubiquitous age comes, interest for indoor location tracking system is getting more increased. However, existing indoor location tracking system does not correspond actively to frequent changes in indoor environment, and there is a problem that correct location measurement of moving object is difficult due to NLOS (non-line-of-sight) property of indoor environment. Purpose of this paper is to propose an environment accommodation location tracking system that improves the location precision of moving object and grasps location of the object effectively, which is essential an element effectively to provide service and satisfy various users' request.

  • In maritime logistics, a large number of containers are transported to the destination through a port in the form of composite transportation such as ships, trucks, and railways. Logistics parties such as shipping companies and consignors prefer having the real-time information on the entry and exit of the logistics hubs of the freight. Particularly, a port is an important space that connects the maritime and inland areas. Hence, the interest about freight of the logistics party in port is high. This study describes tracking the location of freight by using GPS dynamically based on area type rather than point type. This presents dynamic information of location tracking when the freight enters, exits from, and passes through a certain port area. I suggest a real-time location of the container cargos tracking algorithm in port-entry, port-exit, and port inside using Active IP-RFID technology based on the location tracking algorithm of previous research.

Object-Tracking System Using Combination of CAMshift and Kalman filter Algorithm (CAMshift 기법과 칼만 필터를 결합한 객체 추적 시스템)

  • In this paper, we describe a strongly improved tracking method using combination of CAMshift and Kalman filter algorithm. CAMshift algorithm doesn't consider the object's moving direction and velocity information when it set the search windows for tracking. However if Kalman filter is combined with CAMshift for setting the search window, it can accurately predict the object's location with the object's present location and velocity information. By using this prediction before CAMshift algorithm, we can track fast moving objects successfully. Also in this research, we show better tracking results than conventional approaches which make use of single color information by using both color information of HSV and YCrCb simultaneously. This modified approach obtains more robust color segmentation than others using single color information.
