  • In this paper, we describe a method for fuzzy polynomial regression analysis for fuzzy input-output data using shape preserving operations based on Tanaka’s approach. Shape preserving operations simplifies the computation of fuzzy arithmetic operations. We derive the solution using general linear program.

  • Implicit guidance algorithm can deal with the trajectory error rapidly, but it has to save much data. If, however, the control variable is represented by a specific function form, a few parameters will suffice to define the control variable. In this paper, we study the method of updating the parameters of the control function for the reduction of trajectory errors. The method proposed here does not require much memory for guidance.

  • We have studied a new technical approach for the design of digital FIR filters with flatness in the passband, and equiripple attenuation in the stopband using the program of J.H. McClellan, T.W.Parks, L.R.Rabiner and the flatness property. The design technique directly loads to structures that have low passband sensitivity properties.

  • In this paper, an adaptive trust region method based on the conic model for unconstrained optimization problems is proposed and analyzed. We establish the global and super linear convergence results of the method. Numerical tests are reported that confirm the efficiency of the new method.

  • Simple genetic algorithm(SGA) has been used to optimize a lot of structural optimization problems because it can optimize non-linear problems and obtain the global solution. But, because of large evolving populations during many generations, it takes a long time to calculate fitness. Therefore this paper applied micro-genetic algorithm(μ -GA) to structural optimization and compared results of μ -GA with results of SGA. Additionally, the Paper applied μ -GA to gate optimization problem for injection molds by using simulation program CAPA.

  • Jones [11], [12]developed a measurement method of the economic depreciation by infinite-horizen linear program model. This paper models an economic depreciation schedule in constant price based on the infinite-horizen LP. And the appropriate application of the maintenance/operating cost, the discount rate, the taxation and the price fluctuation in the model was suggested.

  • Floating breakwaters have been recently studied to reduce the transmission ratio of wave energy. The numerical study shows how wave pressure and stress act on the rectangular floating breakwater under various regular wave conditions. In order to evaluate hydrodynamic pressure on the floating breakwater, the infinite element is applied to the linear wave diffraction and radiation problems. SAP2000, a structural analysis program, is used to evaluate stress on the floating breakwater.

  • The computer algorithm and program are developed to obtain the Luenberger Canonical form and the transform matrices for linear time invariant multivariable control systems. The model controller of an eigth order system, which assigns the modes of the multivariable control systems and closed-loop matrices are computed numerically by the developed programs. It is shown that the computed results coincide with the Luenberger's and Kalman's method. The gain of the model controller has varied from 10$^{-3}$ to 10$^{5}$ by the modes assignment of the open-loop system.
