  • Vibration/shock affects biggest taking a train subtraction of vehicle and durability decline. Therefore, absorber is used for vibration/shock isolation and various qualities of the material and design are applied to isolation. This paper proposes vibration/shock absorber that applies 'Disc'spring. Through comparison with 'Disc' spring that has nonlinearity and coil spring that is having linearity, see effect that nonlinearity of isolation gets in vibration/shock isolation. Coil spring and 'Disc' spring are non-linear numerical analysis and simulation through theory for this, get and investigate comparison result through an experiment finally. Expressed and formulated shock through 'Runge-Kutta' method/impact response to nonlinear-vibration-equation of 1 degree of freedom for numerical analysis. Double half sine pulse of excitation used and analyzed result through spectrum response analysis here. Response of disc spring is compared to response of coil spring by changing ho/t ratio with computer simulation and the usage of disc spring is increased through analysis of effect of design factors. The purpose of this paper is that the shock response of disc spring is calculated through numerical simulation and to design the optimal absorber under the limited condition. And then, the isolation effect was analyzed through the shock test.

  • This paper presents a force model of the clean tube system, which was developed as a means of transferring air-floated wafers inside a closed tube filled with super clean air. The recovering force from the holes for floating wafers is modeled as a linear spring and thus the wafers motion is modeled as a mass-spring-damper system. The propelling forces are modeled as linear along with the wafer location. The paper also proposes a control method to emit and stop a wafer at the center of a control unit. It reveals the minimum value of the propelling force to leave from the control unit. In order to stop the wafer, it utilizes the exact time when the wafer arrives at the position to activate the propelling force. Experiments with the clean tube system built for the 12 inch wafer shows the validity of the proposed model and the algorithm.

  • In the present study, solution algorithms for the computation of unsteady flows on an unstructured mesh are presented. Dual time stepping is incorporated to achieve the 2-nd order temporal accuracy while reducing the linearization and the factorization errors associated with a linear solver. Hence, any time step can be used by only considering physical phenomena. Gauss-Seidel scheme is used to solve linear system of equations. Rigid motion and spring analogy method fur moving mesh are all considered and compared. Special treatments of spring analogy for high aspect ratio cells are presented. Finally, numerical results for oscillating wing are compared with experimental data.

  • Several reactor system components, such as heat exchange tubes, fuel fins, controlrods, and various instruments are beam-like components. This study presents a simple solution method for calculating the natural frequencies and modes of beams supported by linear and torsional springs and attached concentrated mass and rotational inertia at some intermediate points. For a general multi-span beam, theoretical method is proposed to analyze the exact solution about vibrational characteristics with respect to the nondimensional parameters. And the results obtained using the numerical models are presented and discussed.

  • The finite element analyses of mechanical rubber components are executed to predict the behavior of deformation and stress distribution in destgn step. The non-linear properties of rubber which are described as strain energy functions are important parameters to design and evaluate rubber components. These are determined by material tests which are tension, compression and shear test. The behaviors of loads-displacements of rubber components such as a roll tubber spring and resilient ring and additional spring for railway suspension system are evaluated by using commercial FEA code. It is shown that the results by FEA simulations are in close agreement with the test results.

  • Analyses of dynamic models which were one and two degrees of freedom, and had the nonlinear springs and dampings with certain polynomial functions were performed from SIMULINK in MATLAB. Those consisted of 12 programs and were built on the basis of the preceding programs fur the linear dynamic simulations. However the programs for the nonlinear simulations were quite different from those f3r the linear ones, and showed the results of the analyses in real time with animating. It was found that the programs would help us to solve any kind of nonlinear dynamic simulation with one and two degrees of freedom. Especially, the simulations for 1 DOF system with cubic nonlinear spring farce showed the results for Duffing's equation, of which phenomena were jump-up and jump-down. It will be applied to the dynamic simulation of the car seat vibration with a passenger, of which model has the equivalent nonlinear springs and is two degrees of freedom.

  • This paper deals with the dynamic analysis and experiments of moving-magnet lineal actuator with/without spring. On the basis of two dimensional(2-D) analytical solutions and experiments, control parameters are obtained. And then, dynamic simulation algorithm is established from the voltage and motion equation. Finally, for various values of frequency, dynamic simulation results for characteristics of voltage, current and displacement of moving-magnet linear actuator are presented and confirmed through the experiments. In particular, This paper makes the PWM voltage waveform using a DSP for bidirectional voltage drive

  • Vertical pumps are widely used owing to the fact that they occupy small floor space. In this type of pumps, however, the vibrational problems are very important, since, in many cases, they have less stiffness in comparison with lateral pumps. This study presents a simple solution method for calculating the natural frequencies and modes of vertical pumps. In this study, a mode of a vertical pump was developed and the nondimensional parameters for the vibrational characteristics of it were determined. Added mass was calculated for the effects of water and the transfer matrix method was used.

  • This study describes the effect of the critical pressure ratio of a control valve on the performance of an air spring system composed of an air spring, auxiliary chamber, control valve and mass in order to suggest a more efficient design for an air spring system. The critical pressure ratio of the control valve is assumed to have a fixed value, but the critical pressure ratio of the control valve is known to have various values between 0.05 and 0.6, and the effect of the variation of the critical pressure ratio on the performance of the air spring system has not yet been reported. The analysis derives nonlinear and linear governing equations of the air spring system, including the critical pressure ratio of the control valve. This simulation study is presented to show that the impedance and transmissibility characteristics of the air spring system change due to variations in the critical pressure ratio of the control valve as well as its sonic conductance. As a result, the critical pressure ratio of the control valve should be maintained as large as possible to improve the vibration isolation characteristics of the air spring system.
